When visiting a few sites on the Droid, I get a message telling me to install flash. It comes up 3 times before the site finally loads, and I have to cancel each time. What's strange is that even though I hit cancel, everything still loads. Is there any way to disable that notification and just prevent it from attempting to load flash?

All of a sudden my notify light displays a constant blue light when the phone is put to sleep. I've uninstalled Chomp and I do not have any social networking apps installed nor do I have accounts synced to the phone. All messages on my phone have been read.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter Updating an X10i phone is going through a constant boot/reboot @ sony ericsson logo so i thought i should try a recovery, took battery out as phone wouldn't turn off,reinserted battery,plugged usb into PC and held Back button then inserted usb to phone , got Large battery Image with Flash going through it.Asked or software update and picked repair,Goes through Prepairing then shows list of phones , i pick X10 of course and it asked me to disconect phone fromPC, all the usual steps to do recovery again

Meaning, will it still stay a persistent app and not be able to be closed by Android? I have a Pebble and I have not had any issues with the app since I have done this.
I'm trying to create a notification that uses a different sound than Notification.DEFAULT_SOUND. Is there an easy way I can pop up a Sound picker where the user can choose from? and how do I use the sound picked for my notification?

I am wondering if there is a way to get the voice dialer to prompt you to choose the contact instead of dialing directly. How is Xtralogic if anyone has tried it? Also, is there a command line prompt application for the Droid, so I would have the capability of pinging windows servers, (after establishing a VPN connection of course)? The built-in VPN tool on my phone works fine.

This started after this process:
My phone was rooted, Stock 2.2 with superuser (via clockwork) I accidentally applied the OTA Adobe flash update and became unrooted. I attempted to flash a rooted 2.2 with adobe with RSD Lite and loaded the newest baseband
My phone began not working at this point. I get this message when I try to activate via *228 or *22899: "The number or code you have entered is incorrect"......"Message 7 Switch 441"
I tried manually programming via ##PROGRAM, but to no avail.
I have flashed back to 2.0.1, 2.1, 2.2 every version of baseband I could find, but I still am roaming. Under phone status, my network is "Unknown"
Finally, here is what I have right now:

I talked to a verizon tech support guy and he got me as far as being able to make calls on my "unknown" network and roaming status. He thought that he fixed it after that, so I just gave up on that conversation....
I recently rooted my droid, and wanted to increase my phone's speed... so i installed "ChevyNo1-1.25Ghz-OC-5slot-update.zip" via 'ROM Manager. Now, it wont start up, it just starts and a constant red light turns on (same as when battery is low, but constant) It shows the battery empty but it wont let me charge it, so i dont know what to do..

Now I am a former bb curve user and I decided on the droid instead of the. Storm 2 and I love my droid. Anyways I have no idea if it is user error or if I should return this droid and get a new one ? View 1 Replies View RelatedIm new to the forums here, I have a Droid currently running Froyo and I have been thinking about rooting my phone. I recently picked up and Apple IBook G3 and I was curious if I will have any problems rooting on the Apple OSX. The main reason I'm asking is because I have noticed that some roots require using the command prompt in Windows. I did search the forums for anything I could find but didn't really find anything useful.
The root I am planning on using is Soup or Root. This will be my first endeavor in to Rooting. PS- Mods if I posted this in the wrong place please move it to the correct one
Buddy told me to put kangerade and chevy lv 1.2ghz on it. I'm not new to the root game and i've done it to a few eris phones. I got everything installed correctly two days ago but yesterday and today, the phone seems to soft boot every now and again for no particular reason. It doesn't go all the way to the mas a hard boot would, but it goes to the droid logo and reboots from there. I'm running the newest version of Kangerade with chevy 1.2ghz low voltage kernel.

I edited .png files in framework-res.apk; the sdcard preparing icon and also the usb connected icon.
I used this method:
Use terminal, since ADB doesn't work.
su
cp system/framework/framework-res.apk /sdcard
(edit files on your computer opening the framework as an archive using 7zip. put the file on the sd card)
assuming that you aren't in SU anymore..
su
cp /sdcard/framework-res.apk system/framework
chmod 644 system/framework/framework-res.apk
sync
reboot

They are not the .9 png files, and the icons changed without problem, but immediately after a reboot almost every program on my phone is force closing.
I just got a google apps account at work and added that email to my phone and now my battery drains fast and Google is the culprit according to battery status.Also seems like the sync wheel is on all the time at top of screen.

However when I go to the Adobe Flash showcase, it says I don't have flash installed. So I search the market place and do not see flash as a download. Is this just something that will come later? I really don't read up on Driod all the time so I don't know all the news, just a regular user.

Flash Lite installs, but after install I can not connect to the internet (Nothing connects, Skype, market, random app, browser.)
So I wanted to know if anyone wanted to do some testing with them, to see if you can get them running on the ROM you are running. Maybe we will be able to make fun of iDevices earlier, because Droid Does what iDont

Is anyone else experiencing problems? I'm on a HTC Desire running 2.2 stock Froyo. The only modification I've made is to manually force apps to the SD card. Since Market 2.12 was released I can download but not install anything. I can't update either, it'll download but then immediately bring up an Installation Failed notification.
I have been advised to clear the Market cache and to uninstall the new update but by the time I reload the Market after uninstalling the update, I'm back on 2.12 as it updates automatically.
Has anyone else experiencing similar problems?
Any idea if there's a fix or do I have to wait for Google to sort it out?
Is there anywhere I can report this to Google?
hi i am currently unrooted Droid X after i recently restored my phone using the 2.2 SBF. i redownloaded most of my old applications but a few of them for some reason will just not install and i just get the yellow /! mark that says "install unsuccessful" everytime. specifically angry birds and i few other paid apps do this to me and i really want to install them. i tried clearing market data and cache in settings but still did not work. so any help with this?
