Ever since the 2.1 update (forced following directions on here) when I go to the facebook touch site in the stock browser (or xscope) it says at the bottom "Download Facebook for your Hero" but I have the DROID.

To start: I searched the forums for this problem but didn't see anything similar. If this is a repost, sorry, please give me a link to a solution.The problem seems to go away when I shut off the screen and then turn it back on again. However, I sometimes have to do this three times in order to type a single sentence text. I did a hard reset earlier today and it was fine for a few hours. It seemed to come back after I installed some of the apps I had before it was reset. I've read that there was an issue with the earlier Evos about the screen not being grounded, but this seems more of a software issue to me. Anyone know what I can do?
View 7 Replies View RelatedWith my Storm, I could wake up my phone by pushing on the screen. Does the X do this, or do you need a special app for it? Touching the screen to wake it up is much easier than trying to push the small home button.
View 15 Replies View RelatedHalf the time that I am using the phone doing normal things ex: writing a text, going to the market, opening up an app, etc. the phone will not respond to my touch. I have to lock my phone and then unlock it to get it to respond.
I personally don't think that is normal and if it is it should not be a normal thing someone has to deal with.
I'm not a very sweaty person, but its august and I use my phone out side alot. Well any time I get a little bit of sweat on it the touch screen goes haywire, ie the lock screen bar just twitches. And after it unlocks it the home screens twitch back and forth. any body suggest some thing other then a blue tooth, for this problem? oh and anyone else having this issue. I'm using the verizon anti glare screen protectors.

(Settings => "About phone" => Status ) - as the SIM number before my "previous 'phone" number was PAC'd and ported... The PAC transfer happened about 3 weeks ago.,... The phone appears when calling anyone else as my transferred number, rings when called as the transferred number, ... but the beast reports the original, old" number. As it happens I've also done a "Factory reset" on the N1 ... Weird... so everything works as it should do, but the number is miss-reporting...
Any suggestions...e.g. ????
a) It's just one of those things, deal with it..
b) It's a known Android bug, deal with it...
c) It's a Nexus-One special, deal with it...
d) Oh! New one, report it to Mssrs Google...
e) HTC dogs all behave like this....
Is there any other way on the X to sync FB's pictures without it syncing the other junk like their phone numbers? I've tried Syncmypix but the quality of the pictures are kinda crappy.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAside from the obvious matter of the Android app not being as complete as the iPhone equivalent, I was wondering if anybody had experienced the following on both the app and Facebook Touch.
Updates seem fairly random on the live feed. Eg. I will scroll through some updates, but when I refresh, some updates appear which didn't appear originally. I am not referring to new posts or updates, but updates which are sandwiched between updates which were there previously.
I hope that makes sense?
I've tried editing the options at the bottom of the feed on the full Facebook site to enable more updates be shown, but it doesn't seem to make a difference on the handset.
I'm on an Incredible, and with all the horror stories of the Facebook app going on, I'm wondering if it'd be in my best interest to just shut off the sync on that thing and scrap the widget in favor of simply using the FB bookmark.

I have the Facebook app installed on my Droid and have the settings set to send me notifications for all possible things, but the app itself seems to refuse to update on its own or send me any notifications what-so-ever. After messing around with it for 2 days, I finally figured out how to link my Facebook contacts with my already existing phone contacts, so I did not have people in there twice, under two different names! However, only SOME of them are allowing me to change their caller ID names. For instance, my Mom is on Facebook, so instead of having her caller ID as her FB name, it allowed me to change it to "Mom", but for other contacts, it won't let me. Any idea why, or how to fix this? Also, is there still NO way to get rid of the unwanted contacts without deleting them from your Facebook friends list? That is driving me nuts! I don't need ALL 225 of my facebook friends in my phone.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI hardly ever use facebook, and almost never from my computer. However, I do know you can tag a friend in a post using "@" in front of their name. I did this from the Droid and it just started the post with the text @My Friend content content content... It didn't actually tag him.
Anyone know if this just doesn't work from the Droid or what?
I searched the threads and haven�t seen any one mentioning this. Whenever I try to connect my Facebook via the motoblur it gives me an internal server error. I tried a factory reset and also connecting through the social networking and my accounts to no prevail.

I'm sure this isn't news to any of you veterans, but this is my first android device so please bare with me. I'm using the facebook app and have noticed that neither the app itself or the widget show the actual facebook live feed or provide a way to access it....
Of course my next thought was "well what if I just use the facebook page in a browser window". Turns out that's not as simple as I thought! Apparently facebook not only has a mobile page, it also has a "touch" page that it likes to route you to. Neither the mobile or the touch facebook pages have a way to access the live feed either....
I removed my facebook account because I didn't wane all of my friends in my contacts, but a few of them are still in my contacts and I can't delete them!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI usually charge my phone over night and I have never had any problems. Last night my phone didn't charge and I woke up to a 15% charge. I figured that I must have knocked the charger out of the outlet, so I just took it to work with me to let it charge today. It's been charging for almost an hour and there is still no change in the charge (now it's at 10%). When I go under settings and look at battery use, I see that I have "1d 0h 18m 22s on battery." I don't know if my phone is just incorrectly reading my battery or something.

However, after I comment on someone's status or picture, etc, and then I click the back arrow to go back to the live feed, it defaults back to news feed. Also, if I am on live feed and click on the home button, it again defaults to news feed. Is there a way to permanently keep live feed on all the time?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my DroidX on 7/15 and on 7/16 linked all my phone contacts who have facebook to a facebook contact via social networking. I kike how the phone sets the picture, I like that in the contact entry it shows me thier status on facebook. What I don't like is that when I open up a contac that is both a phone contact and a facebook contact and I tap the facebook icon on the contact screen I get 3 options (view profile, write on wall, and poke). If I open up a contact that is only facebook and tap that same Icon I get 4 options (view profile, message, write on wall, and poke). Is there some reason linking the facebook contact to a phone contact needs to remove that option? I'd like to be able to send a facebook message from the phone to any contact as easy as I can send a text message.
