Dropbox just appeared on my Droid in the gallery section with several pics in the album even though I never installed Dropbox app on my phone.
Can somebody tell me how to remove this album please as there is no delete option?

How do I make and add photos to an album using android dropbox app?
When I click on photo icon at top, just says you dont have any albums ??
I bought my moto droid about a week ago, but loved it until two days ago . The problem is it keeps deleting my pictures and ringtones, they just go away randomly over the pass two days. Does anyone know how to fix this?

View 11 Replies View RelatedAfter the 2.1 OTA a lot of random photos were thrown in my photo album under separate files, I think one is named something like keyboard...and another one called icons maybe. They are just screen shots of the swype keyboard. I tried to delete them after I dl'd the Nexus Gallery (which is awesome btw thank you Androzoid) but they just came back. Has anyone else had this happen? I haven't tried to delete them yet straight from the SD card to see if that works. Is it okay to delete these or do they serve some purpose?

I have almost 400 pics all listed under Camera shots and, of course, anytime I am looking for 1 specific pic, I have to filter through them all. I have tried everything that I know of on my phone outside of just purging pics. If I create separate folders on my SD card, will it display that way in the album?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S II Plus and I recently updated the Dropbox app. After updating, the Gallery app is showing all the pictures I have in my Dropbox, this did not happen before the update. I had a clean Gallery with only the pictures in my phone. I checked the accounts in the settings, but I don't see anything in the Dropbox account settings.
I do not want to see these pictures in my phone. How can I stop this sync?
Okay, so I originally noticed that 2.2 now had a feature that allows you to assign a noise when locking/ unlocked your screen when I force updated my original Droid 1. When it came time to get the Droid 2 I went into settings and made sure that the option was still there and it was. So I set it and locked the screen, didn't hear a thing. Unlocked the screen and still didn't hear anything. Put the phone up to my ear and locked, and there was the ever so slightest clicking noise that was almost non existent (that's how low it was). So I instantly made sure that all volumes were set to high and they were. At that point I figured that's just how it was, and there was no changing it. I was kinda upset.And then today came!!! Out of nowhere, the phone now makes a nice and loud lock and unlock sound. It's so random, I don't understand why it would change its mind out of nowhere.

Unfortunately all the album art also shows up under "pictures". Is there anyway to tell the G1 to stop looking for pictures in my music folder?

I'm stil a newbie here being a wm 6 convert & don't know how to troll my phone as well just yet. after initial sync to move media files I now have dual albums for video and music this is 2G SD I moved from WM phone to Hero & it picked up files with no problem but they are duplicated. tried to search for 'delete' 'remove' 'erase' album & no exact answer. sorry if I'm a repeater.

Half of my music i have transfered from my old phone with all the other data i had on it, for some reason the music that has been transfered has now got one of the pictures as the album art for all these songs. Anyone know how to remove all album art?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got an HTC desire and I am on my 6th day of playing with it. At first I thought it was a big step up from my previous phone (that had real buttons...and lots of them) however after I started copying my music to the tiny 4Gb SD card I realised that my photos app was showing all the album art work. This was actually quite annoying and it has taken me some hours to find a solution. If anyone is having the same problem they will realise how annoying this is, so I have documented below how to solve it.The problem seems to come from two sources:
1. The Desire (and I guess other android devices) scan the entire SD card for media. Sure enough the scan would return some jpg images located in my MP3 folder (the album art work). Android seems to be limited here and you cannot create an exclsuion folder that doesnt effect both the music app and the photo app (so, this rules out the .nomedia folder)
2. Tagging the MP3's correctly using ID3 tags should appearntly solve this problem. Although you have to be careful here as I have found that not all media players tag the MP3's in the same way. Windows Media player and Tag Runner both tag the MP3 so it appears correct (no separate jpg image is created) however, they still appear in the photo's app.
The only application I have found that works is mediamonkey. Tagging all my MP3's using media monkey stops the album art work appearing in the photo's app which has made my trowling through for my pictures much more graceful.
I'm trying to email and "odt" file from the builtin gmail program, but i'm only able to mail documents like xls and doc with documentreader. Or I can mail pictures though album. isn't it possible to use any filebrowser and send what file I want. like zip, rar, odt, pdf etc?

I copied everything from my old SD card to the new one. Also, the new SD card have a different name from the old one. Old is labeled as 'Removable Disk' while new one is 'Kingston'. Also, album thumbs folder becomes empty (before it contains files from old album thumbs folder).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI believe I have tried everything now to get rid of all my picasa pictures in the gallery on my tablet included reading the forum and the rest of internet and now my brain is soon exploding.I have a Iconia tablet with Taboonay 2.2 custom rom.What have I done:
-I have stopped automatic sync option in account/sync to my gmail account, there is now way to tick off gmail,contacts,calendar and picasa.Only option is to stop auto sync with the gmail account itself.
-in settings/app menu I have closed down gallery app and clear data
-with astro I have deleted cache in ..android/data/com.android.gallery3d and android/data/com.google.android.gallery3d
-then I have wiped dalvik in recovery
but the pictures comes back like magic in front of my eyes every time I have tried.
Can you put a lock on the photo album or on the sms folder?

Is there a way i can stop it vibrating when im writing a text? I actually find it quite annoying
Most of my music works great with pix in window when I pull up the album. Some don't how do i add the picture so the albums show up. I put a pic in the f9lder but that didn't seem to work is there a format or size I need to make the pic?
