I originally used double twist to sync up my music and pictures and all, but it kinda became a mess so I bagged it. Now I am trying to straighten my phones card out a bit, and i have 3 different album arts for each music album. Where and how is the album art stored that the droid actually uses for its music player?

Does anyone know how to store the album art of a music album into a cache? I already have my album arts fetched from my content resolver. But I would like to store them inside a cache (probably, a hash map) so that it will not need to fetch the images from the content resolver again but from the cache.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter changing my SD card with a larger one, my music album pictures on HTC music player/widget does not show anymore. I copied everything from my old SD card to the new one. Also, the new SD card have a different name from the old one. Old is labeled as 'Removable Disk' while new one is 'Kingston'. Also, album thumbs folder becomes empty (before it contains files from old album thumbs folder).

One thing I can't figure out is where dose the pictures get store to.(The Actual Directory) I did download ASTRO(Great Tool) but still am unable to hunt the actual store directory that the pics gets store to. Dose anybody know where this is. I also need to find out once I connect my phone to the PC how to get it off of the phone to my PC and or server. once I connect to PC all I see is the SD card and there isn't much in there.

Unfortunately all the album art also shows up under "pictures". Is there anyway to tell the G1 to stop looking for pictures in my music folder?
Has anybody else noticed this? I have to view the picture, zoom all the way in on it, wait a second for it to focus then zoom out and THEN the picture will be crystal clear. Is this a bug or?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter the 2.1 OTA a lot of random photos were thrown in my photo album under separate files, I think one is named something like keyboard...and another one called icons maybe. They are just screen shots of the swype keyboard. I tried to delete them after I dl'd the Nexus Gallery (which is awesome btw thank you Androzoid) but they just came back. Has anyone else had this happen? I haven't tried to delete them yet straight from the SD card to see if that works. Is it okay to delete these or do they serve some purpose?

I have chosen for the music to be "on the device", and it plays when even in Airplane Mode, so I know it is not streaming, but the music files do not show up in my "Music" directory tree, or under any other file trees that I can find. I have used ES File Explorer to do a top down search for some of the missing titles, but it doesn't find them. I'm perplexed. There must be a cache somewhere, but I can't find it.

I want to create an app that has pictures Ive taken or created and allows users to browse through them. Ive got how to use buttons but I just cant figure out how to store the pictures within the apk file that gets uploaded to market. Im really new to android development and Ive been through some tutorials and have a couple books but for right now Im stuck and would greatly appreciate a push in the right direction. View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my Galaxy S to replace my Rockboxed Cowon X5L. It has 30GB of storage, my Galaxy S has 48GB of storage. It's going to hold around 250 albums. I don't have single tracks, I just have albums, and typically I'll play an entire album rather than a single track. I've tried several music playing apps on Android and they're all awful. Not a single one of them is even halfway competent. I want to be able to go into a music player, and browse through folders and select music to play that way. I want to be able to go into a folder and start playing a track and for the music player to continue playing all the tracks in that folder and then stop. I want next/previous track to go to the next/previous track in the folder. The default music player is rotten, and does not work in this way at all. Any other music player I've seen seems to be built on top of the music player or just a reskin of it. They're all shite too. Has anyone created a music playing app that is fit for purpose? Has anyone seen one?

This forum and the community has supplied my answers for Missing Album art, I use 'Album Art Grabber' from Market which is good (except compilations find the artist covers instead, but SD card loading is fine bypass) My problem is that my music, once moved to my HTC Desire phone splits into one track per Album (with Cover art =). So a 34 track album, aok in iTunes now lists as 34 Albums with 1 track each.In iTunes its fine. I use DoubleTwist (another fantastic application) to move the music over.Any body else bumped into this problem?

Album Artist: A
Is there a music player that'll classify the song under artist A as opposed to under "A ft B"? I really don't want 50 entries in my artist list because of "featuring" song. Does anyone know if some music player app classifies songs this way? And having an equalizer would be a plus.
