Anyone know how to remove all album art?

I believe I have tried everything now to get rid of all my picasa pictures in the gallery on my tablet included reading the forum and the rest of internet and now my brain is soon exploding.I have a Iconia tablet with Taboonay 2.2 custom rom. What have I done:
-I have stopped automatic sync option in account/sync to my gmail account, there is now way to tick off gmail, contacts, calendar and picasa.Only option is to stop auto sync with the gmail account itself.
-in settings/app menu I have closed down gallery app and clear data
-with astro I have deleted cache in ..android/data/com.android.gallery3d and android/data/com.google.android.gallery3d
-then I have wiped dalvik in recovery
but the pictures comes back like magic in front of my eyes every time I have tried.

This forum and the community has supplied my answers for Missing Album art, I use 'Album Art Grabber' from Market which is good (except compilations find the artist covers instead, but SD card loading is fine bypass) My problem is that my music, once moved to my HTC Desire phone splits into one track per Album (with Cover art =). So a 34 track album, aok in iTunes now lists as 34 Albums with 1 track each.In iTunes its fine. I use DoubleTwist (another fantastic application) to move the music over.Any body else bumped into this problem?

Is it possible to create an album which is password protected? To which photos go automatically instead of to the 'all photos bit'?I'm sure that's impossible.. you'd have to have some setting in the camera that selected which folder it went into.but is it possible to have a password protected folder in the photo gallery to which you can easily move (how?) pictures from the normal camera folder?I'm sure you can think of uses for such a feature - in my case it's for photos to measure my fitness/muscleness (I ignore scales) - and I have friends who happily browse my phone (I don't mind except for this - I have to remember to upload the pictures then delete them). (They all know the swipe password thing, because it's pretty easy to accidentally watch/memorise.)

I'm writing this for the HTC Desire, but it should work for all other models and most likely all other Android phones. The process was identical for my old Sony Ericsson C905 and my girlfriends SE W580i.
The problem is the phone is looking for the album art within the track itself. So, we need to embed it, because having a .jpg file in the folder will not do. The phone does not look for the album art there, so it's not going to find it!
1. First you need to download a freeware program called mp3tag. Install it and run the program.
You may donate to mp3tag if you like the software. I've been using it for quite some time and I gave them $20. Not much, but I hope it helped them
2. Secondly, drag and drop all the music that does not have album art stored within the file. Highlight a number of tracks, best to do this an album at a time. Now you can either right click in the empty album art box like the image below and find the album art on your computer.

I'm having a problem with the music app on the desire. Basically I've got about 2 hundred albums on there, all mp3 with artwork (jpg) embedded. Basically there are 6 albums where the artwork does not show up, it just displays the generic music note symbol, the rest of my music all displays the artwork no problem. After much experimenting, it turns out that if I change the name of one of the problem albums (to anything - I just added an extra character to the end of the name) then the artwork is displayed. But then if I change the album name back again, the artwork is not displayed. Wierd! I'm assuming that there is some sort of internal database on the phone that has got an incorrect or corrupt entry for those album names, but I just can't clear it. I have tried deleting the 'album thumbs' directory but this did not have any effect. Can anyone think of a way to clear the problem, without doing a factory reset, as I don't want to have to re-set up my apps etc.

I just got an HTC desire and I am on my 6th day of playing with it. At first I thought it was a big step up from my previous phone (that had real buttons...and lots of them) however after I started copying my music to the tiny 4Gb SD card I realised that my photos app was showing all the album art work. This was actually quite annoying and it has taken me some hours to find a solution. If anyone is having the same problem they will realise how annoying this is, so I have documented below how to solve it.The problem seems to come from two sources:
1. The Desire (and I guess other android devices) scan the entire SD card for media. Sure enough the scan would return some jpg images located in my MP3 folder (the album art work). Android seems to be limited here and you cannot create an exclsuion folder that doesnt effect both the music app and the photo app (so, this rules out the .nomedia folder)
2. Tagging the MP3's correctly using ID3 tags should appearntly solve this problem. Although you have to be careful here as I have found that not all media players tag the MP3's in the same way. Windows Media player and Tag Runner both tag the MP3 so it appears correct (no separate jpg image is created) however, they still appear in the photo's app.
The only application I have found that works is mediamonkey. Tagging all my MP3's using media monkey stops the album art work appearing in the photo's app which has made my trowling through for my pictures much more graceful.

I'm loving the HTC Desire, but there's a problem for me regarding the music player - half of my albums are just a black background with a note. It's really annoying, as half of the albums have their true cover. I can't find anything on Google about how to get the other albums working. I have tried renaming the album covers to all sorts of stuff and nothing seems to work. I tried searching album art on the market but the only thing that returned was a paid app, and I'm not willing to pay ?3 for something that I should be able to do for free.

I have now got Genres working in the Music player on my Desire but have hit a new problem. Track Order.
All the tracks in the folders on my SD card have track numbers, copied from the PC folders. This means that when I play an album on my PC it plays in the track order; essential for symphonies!
However in the Desire Music player tracks are sorted alphabetically; Astro shows me that the track numbers are there as part of the file name. I do not wish to created over 100 playlists.
Is there a way to get the Music player to sort tracks by track order?

why to add album artwork into the album file to have it show up on the Droid? I have added albums that all have the artwork in the ID3 tag but a few just wont show on the device so I'm wondering if there's another way to add it into the folder on the SD card that will have it show up in the media player?

After changing my SD card with a larger one, my music album pictures on HTC music player/widget does not show anymore. I copied everything from my old SD card to the new one. Also, the new SD card have a different name from the old one. Old is labeled as 'Removable Disk' while new one is 'Kingston'. Also, album thumbs folder becomes empty (before it contains files from old album thumbs folder).

I just recorded a video clip which had a strange effect. When in photo albums, instead of a thumbnail of the video in question, the phone created a thumbnail of a video I have recorded previously and then deleted. Does anyone know how to make the phone recreate all thumbnails for the media files? I am leaning towards deleting all the files in /sdcard/DCIM/.thumbnails/ but not sure this is the way to do it?

Generally music setup is good, much better than on the Blackberry. However, when I go into the album folder all the songs show up from that album as individual albums; on some of them when I click, it will show about 3 songs, others 1 etc. Also, showing 3 of the same song, not sure how that occurred but can probably fix that.

Does anyone know how to fix the default Music player's behaviour when long-pressing on an album and selecting "Play" ?
If you start playing by quick-pressing the album, it shows you the list of songs. If tagged correctly, this list is in correct song order, and will play the album in order from whichever song you select to start from. If not tagged correctly, it shows in alphabetical order.
So far, so good.. can't complain... BUT...
If you start playing an album by long-pressing it and selecting "Play", it plays it alphabetically, regardless of the status of the tagging.

I was planning on flashing a ROM. Basically, I created a partition for Apps2SD and I was unsure if it had created or not. I used Quick System Info, and it said "information unavailable", so I'd assumed it hadn't worked. I think it has worked, as I only have 14.35GB of my 16GB card remaining, and I'm sure I had a lot more than that available, even with the contents I previously had on it. How can I remove the partition to make the SD card "whole again" so I can begin this process again?
