Motorola Droid :: Different Size Screen Bezels

Ok so has anybody heard or experienced their droids screen to be a different size than others? I have two motorola droids and after purchasing some snap on hard cases all of them do not fit mine but they fit the wifes just fine. After very close side by side inspection the only thing that I could see was the bezel around my screen has a steeper angle than hers causing the front part not to clip. Question is if I take mine into a verizon store and show them either by the cases already purchased or ones in the store that they don't fit do you think they would warranty replace it?

I searched the forums for this and I couldn't find what I was looking for. Has anyone figured out the best way to resize pictures so they fit the Droids native screen size, so I can see the image full screen?

This is my first post. I've had a Moto Droid since day one, and I just love it. It is without a doubt better than any phone that I've had over the years, and that includes the iPhone, BB, etc.
However, there are 2 things that I don't understand - Font size and a spell checker. It is imposiible to read the small font size in emails or text messages.
1. Why has there not been an app to either change the font size or be able to zoom in? Picasy has incorporated multi-touch for zooming, so I've to assume that its doable! Why not have the same in an email client.
2. Why is there not an email client out there that allows for spell checking? There are many such apps for the BB! I am a terrible speller.
I am not complaining, I just want to understand the limitations from a developers prospective, as I am sure these isuues will eventually be addressed.

I am designing a home screen widget. I ran this widget on a HTC Hero device, which has a screen of 320 pixels * 480 pixels with mdpi. It ran perfect on HTC Hero. The widget takes 3 cells * 2 cells space, i.e. 240 pixels * 200 pixels.Then I ran this widget on a Nexus One device, which has a screen of 480 pixels * 800 pixels, mdpi. Since Nexus One also is mdpi, so I though 240dip is equivalent to 240 pixels on Nexus One and 200dip is equivalent to 200 pixels on Nexus One, so the widget will not take 3 cells * 2 cells space on Nexus One device. To my surprise, when running on Nexus One device, the widget take exact 3 cells * 2 cells, about 360 pixels * 300 pixels, on Nexus One device.I am confused. The layout xml above specifies 240dip in width and 200dip in height for the widget, but why did it take 360 pixels * 300 pixels on Nexus One Device? What am I missing?

So i am trying to get the screen size of the Moto Droid on my application. on my Create, i am using the Service windowManager to get the default display. code...
When i set it i get width of 320 and height 570. that looks wrong, it should be 320x480.
i want to place a 300x50 image on the bottom of the screen on any device (actually) so normally i would get the height of the screen and minus the image height so it places it on a view. but since i am getting 570 for some reason, i have to scroll down to see the image. why is it getting the wrong screen size and is there another more accurate way of getting the size. code...

From Android widget screen guidelines,we know that, home screen has 4*4 cells, and in portrait orientation, each cell is 80 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall. I think these are for baseline HVGA screen. How about for large screens and hdpi screens, do they still have 4*4 cells for widget and each cell in portrait orientation is still 80 pixels * 100 pixels?

I am having real issues reading anything. The icons are really small for as large as the screen is as well as some text thought the phone. Every phone I have ever owned had at least a small,large,larger even the yucky Storm I got out of I could pick larger text (point size). Anyone know if this was left out or how to fix? I'm trying to send some videos via text message, and they all say limit size reached..Is there a way to negate or increase the limit size of video files to be sent without lowering the resolution or keeping the videos to under a minute?

So I used the DVD Catalyst software to make a movie file the DX will play, Works great but do I need to worry about these files being so big? I know there are file compressors out there but I don't know if it affects the movie play or not.

I've been using Weatherbug Elite since soon after getting the Droid X. I'm running Launcher Pro Plus. I have always been able to resize the map widget of weatherbug to 3x3. Now (since last update I think) the widget sizes to about 2.5x2.5 from the standard 2x2 size. The other .5x.5 is grey screen. Has anyone else been having this problem or know if it can be fixed? I really like weatherbug but would like to fix this.

I was scrolling through the Settings for my Droid, and I noticed that under Manage Applications (after changing the filter options to ALL) that Camera was listed twice. Same icon and version (6) but different data size (124 KB and 192KB). Is this normal? I was thinking it might just be for video and photos to separate the two, but I was hoping to get experts opinions.

I just bought Beautiful Widgets 3.0 off of App market and have been trying to add the Beautiful Home Weather widget on my home screen. However, no matter which weather skin I choose, the weather images are running off of the background on the bottom as if the background image is not long enough. I tried a few skins, but they all look the same. Is there an option I need to toggle or something?

I know what the resolution is for the Droid x which is 480x854..but what is the wallpaper resolution? On the Droid Incredible and I believe even the original Droid the wallpaper size was different than the resolution of the screen.

I backed up my apps with titanium backup, then loaded Apex ROM. After installing titanium backup and trying to run it to restore my apps.. i just get stuck on "building exact app size..." ... I tried rebooting and that did not help.

Does anyone know the aximum upload file size for Droid you tube videos on 3G? I'm going to be in an area with most likely no wifi but I'm pretty sure I should have solid EVDO and I need to upload videos, just wanted to know the maximum file size/length for youtube videos and if there's a way to bypass the limit (I really don't care if I ring up 1.5 gigs of data).

The biggest talking point with this phone seems to be the size. Id be curious to see some numerical opinions! I myself have been waffling: at first I thought "Oh, way too big". Then this picture made me think its not the much larger than similar phones and I was getting it for sure! But this pic has me wondering. Looks pretty giant in her hand:

I got to know that the devices with screen resolution 1280x720 or 720x1280 are extra large screen devices.
But when I run my application on Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-T999 (resolution 720x1280) throught eclipse, the following code prints "Normal screen" i.e. it is a normal screen device but according to my knowledge it should print "Extra Large screen". If its a normal screen size device actually then why its picking the layout (XML) file from res/layout-xlarge-port folder instead of res/layout? Need to understand this screen size concept so that I can make my application for multiple screen sizes.
