anyone having trouble getting the font size to sick in the spare parts menu?
I always hear people saying how amazing this app is and how to diagnose what is eating your battery. however I for the life of me can't figure it out. I bet it is super simple, but I just can't see it. Where do I go to see what programs maybe keeping my phone awake...what usage do I look at, what do I press? Also, what settings should I use for it? I am about to go into Verizon today, because my phones voltage is above 4v (I heard that when it is in the 4 range, you may have a bad battery also...), but I want to see the amazingess of this APP that everyone seems to know but me
View 2 Replies View RelatedI read online you can turn on battery percentage through Spare Parts. BB1 does have Spare Parts installed, but I cannot find the feature. I also found Spare Parts in the Marketplace, but can't download it. Any suggestions? Main feature I want in BB.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI notice that Spare Parts came with a Task Management option. I was wondering if anyone has seen a conflict between using Spare Parts and AutoKiller which seems to have the same job except with more features?
View 11 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post. I've had a Moto Droid since day one, and I just love it. It is without a doubt better than any phone that I've had over the years, and that includes the iPhone, BB, etc.
However, there are 2 things that I don't understand - Font size and a spell checker. It is imposiible to read the small font size in emails or text messages.
1. Why has there not been an app to either change the font size or be able to zoom in? Picasy has incorporated multi-touch for zooming, so I've to assume that its doable! Why not have the same in an email client.
2. Why is there not an email client out there that allows for spell checking? There are many such apps for the BB! I am a terrible speller.
I am not complaining, I just want to understand the limitations from a developers prospective, as I am sure these isuues will eventually be addressed.
Is there any chance to get the "Spare parts" app on the froyo 2.2 for moto droid?
View 4 Replies View Relatedso I downloaded Spare Parts and changed the window and transition animations to FAST, and it has been going noticeably quicker. My only question is if changing the speed will affect my battery life?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo i downloaded spare parts to see what was making my phone not sleep and at the top when i clicked "partial wake usage " it said "media"
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it necessary? Ive seen some people say its sped up their phone and improved performance
View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried the Search feature to no avail for this particular question. When I originally downloaded the Spare Parts application for my Motorola Droid, it would show the amount of time each program had my phone in 'wakelock'. Ex: Going into the Partial Wake usage would show times. However, lately I noticed going in there this no longer happens... Anyways, just curious if anyone here has any ideas as to why.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that when the setting for Handcent SMS has the Blinking LED to "Fast", "Normal", or "Slow" it'll eat up resources and takes up +80% of the Partial Wake Time Usage according to Spare Parts. I've noticed this with 2.1, 2.2, and 2.2 again after a hard reset. I'm assuming it's an issue with the last few updates of Handcent as I did not have this problem a month ago.
With it set to "Default" blinking it'll consume normal resources like every other app. Thing is with the "Default" blinking, it just stays green like it's fully charged. I'd appreciate if someone else can look into this and see if this same issue is present for you.
My message menu and contact are shown really big font (screen shot attached) how can i change it or reduce to small font...?
Pinch zoom out dosent work
Tried font installer still not working..
I am rooted and on i mobile Q6a rom

I have been reading the forums since i got my phone, and it has been invaluable. Thanks for all the knowledgeable contributors. One thing that was recommended by several people was to download "spare parts", so I did. That being said, I have no idea what the results mean! For example, if I look under battery history, and other usage, it reads "running (100%) and screen time (100%) I have no idea what that means!
Also people state you can tell which applications are sucking the life of your battery, and I have no idea how to do that.
I recently flashed the new Damage Control (2.08) ROM on my Sprint Hero, and i realized the Spare parts app is missing. Is it compatible with Damage Control, and if so how can i download it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedCan you adjust email font sizes for both gmail and corporate email?
View 18 Replies View RelatedI don't know if it's my phone or what but when I look up the Other Usage on my phone, it shows it "Running" more than 2/3 of the time. And on Network Usage, "Android System" and "Media" use a great deal of the phone as well.I think this might have to do with my "android.process.acore" crashing every once in a while when it's asleep. Based on everyone's feedback I might have to return the Moment for a third time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAm thinking of getting a Galaxy but the one thing that seems to annoy people more than others is the lock button. I have heard that you can download an App called "Spare Parts" which you can config to use the hang up button has the lock button. Has anyone tried this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAs much as I wanted to use the native Gmail app, the font size was just too small (seems like a common Android problem except in the browser). To remedy this I simply configured my Gmail (actually Google Apps) account as an IMAP account with the regular Android Mail. Here, font size is fully scalable (about six selections) and they apply to both reading email to typing new email. This will have to do until someone fixes the dedicated Gmail app font size. On the positive side, this actually works better in receiving email sent to the phone as it was definitely NOT full push with the Gmail app as it's supposed to be. Having them both setup it's easy to see that mail arrives much faster with the regular IMAP mail app than with the Gmail, which is really odd.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a way to increase the font on my menus, settings, and for the general overall OS system. I realize I can add apps like Handcent that will allow me to do it for things like SMS/MMS. But I also would like to have a way to just increase the font for everything else. After coming over to the Eris from several other smartphones where the font could be adjusted, I'm concerned that I havent found a way on the Eris.
And no, I am not looking for answers such as, "Put on your reading glasses". LOL. I'm hoping I'm just overlooking a simple setting, and maybe an easy app that I can get thru The Market ?
Does anyone know of a relatively easy way to change the font of the Android OS? Right now I'm using WW and tried Googling it but couldn't find anything i could make sense of other than a tutorial written in very bad English.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been playing with the K9 Email app as a replacement for the stock program. I rather like it, but there is a deal breaker. On my secondary gmail account (not the one the Eris is set up with, but another one that I set up in K9) the font size in the message is so tiny I can't see it. I've searched the options over and over to find a setting to increase the font size, but apparently I can't find it. Would any of you happen to know where it is?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI've been on leak 3 since it came out and had zero problems until the last 2 weeks or so, i have gotten phone lag that is just unreal. so much with the dialer or anything specifically, just in general. I am doing resets regularly, sometimes 2-3 times a day with little change. No new apps or anything, have dumped caches, call logs etc and nothign seems to help for more than a couple hours.
View 4 Replies View RelatedLooking forward to warmer weather in the NE US and thinking about nice long bike rides. I am psyched to have such a cool little GPS/computer/map system and plan to take the Droid on long rides. Some will be 3+ hours and I don't want to worry about running out of juice. Researching it looks like I have a few options and wanted to know what you all think. Mostly I think the droid will just sit in my Jersey pocket with screen off but tracking GPS. Occasionally I will check maps.
1- buy a spare battery - weight- not much, 1300 mAh - Downside, sometime during the ride I will need to swap batteries and restart GPS apps that I might be running. This would be really annoying so I think this is out as an option.
2- battery extender like Satechi iCel 4400 mAh Battery Extender. Pricey but would certainly give me enough ride time & gets excellent reviews
3 - Solio H1000 Universal Hybrid Charger Not as much power as the battery extender but I really like the idea of charging while I am out riding, although it seems to charge pretty slowly and needs direct sunlight. Even without serious sun it would probably provide enough of a charge for all but the longest rides. Gets "ok" reviews

View 15 Replies View RelatedMore specifically, the rubber/plastic edge that runs around the keyboard the the edge of the keyboard itself (the piece without the letters).I got a tiny bit of super glue on that rubber/plastic (I'm sure it's plastic but it feels kind of rubbery) edge. I'm debating about trying to remove it (it's almost unnoticeable, except to me, meaning I'll notice it constantly ).I know acetone will remove super glue. I've heard that rubbing alcohol can too, which is why I would try it first (it's less caustic than acetone, less chance of damaging the plastic). Is this a bad idea? Also, if rubbing alcohol works, would the alcohol that's on alcohol wipes (like the screen cleaner wipes) work as well? They're both isopropyl so I don't see why it wouldn't (the concentrations may be different, that's the only thing I can think of).

I have 20/20 vision at a distance, but have to wear glasses for small print. Is there anything I can do to get the font size bigger?
