This started today. When I call my wife, or receive one from her for that matter. The name displayed is her google chat name, not her name. Under her contact there are 3 numbers listed. Work, Home and Cell. If I call her work, it displays her actual name, but the other two display her google chat name. Don't know what happened.

View 21 Replies View RelatedIs there an app I can install that will tell me what/when is accessing the 3G/WIFI etc. I'm thinking something is running in the background that I don't want or need. Yes, WIFI/GPS/BT is off. Sync is set to "on demand".
My battery life is not so hot. I even have a new battery that Verizon swapped for me.
This morning I unplugged from a 6 hour charging session. Meter showed 100%. I checked my email and looked at some system settings on the phone. Thats about it.
Now my battery reads 87% This after one hour of unplugging?
It just hit me now (I'm at work right now and I left my home, but as of last night,I was still on 2.1) but is the 3G signal supposed to disappear when you're on a phone call?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI came across a droid1 theme called Luna Theme. The website from the creator is here: The LUNA THEME for Android - Anthem Of The Sun. I contacted them and basically was told that he doesn't have a droid x to test the theme on and doesn't know the differences between the droid1 and the droid x. If someone who is good at porting themes over to the DX could/wants to port it they can contact him at luna@anthemofthesun.com. I personally would donate to see this come to fruition.

His palm treo would anounce the person's name that was calling, he liked this for when he didnt have his phone near him, he would know who was calling and knew if to rush and get it or not. I'm not a android user YET, I have a Curve and waiting for the Nexus one to go on vzw to do the switch, so I have no idea if this option he's looking for is available for his Droid.

I've tried looking through all the settings on both the app and the desktop version and have not found anything that works. I still get my SMS through the app, so the service is working. I just can't get it to call out using my google voice number, and this was automatic on my incredible
View 3 Replies View Relatedever since 2.1 I have noticed all outgoing calls turn on speakerphone by default - and in coming also trigger speakerphone. PITA to place calls, or get them, and always have to turn off speakerphone button. Anyone know why or how to stop it? I cannot say for sure it is 2.1 issue but that is newest change I recall.

They are calling me and it's happened when I have called them.I'm calling from my phone (no bluetooth or speaker).When it's happened I've called back and it's cleared the issue, a couple of times it hasn't. I won't be getting my phone on friday, anyone who pre orders over the phone will NOT get your phones on friday, it would be like tuesday or wed...

Is this even possible without calling a specific package? I have found countless examples of sending email via intent, but I can find nothing about simply opening the default email client on the device via button press (preferably with a chooser dialog in case the user has multiple clients).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to dial a number in Germany which would be +49... now since i can't make that call with my verizon plan i bought a CBS phone card. so i hit 1 for English, 2 for international etc. then when i need to enter the number, on my old phone it worked fine by holding 0 for a while to dial +49. but for some reason that doesn't work with the droid. any ideas?

Anyways, my DX has been working flawlessly since I got it back on 10/6. Sunday, 10/31, my DX quit syncing just my corporate Exchange 2003 emails, then yesterday it started not sending emails as well and now, this morning, it quit syncing my personal email. Corporate email will sync manually, just not push. I have rebooted several times, pulled the battery several times, and also deleted both my Exchange account and my personal account and re-added both and the problem still persists. I don't have any task killer apps installed and haven't recently added any apps since the issues started. Anyone have an idea what may be causing the lack of push (in and out) on both of my accounts?

Well, i have putted to be notified in 1 hour if i have new emails the problem is the phone didn't check the emails and didn't have the notifications. only if i enter on the "Mail" application i have the new emails.. if i didn't enter, this didn't check the emails. What is the problem?. I have APN droid installed and i have deactivated the 3g 2g gaps. But i have configuration the WIFI to stay connected always.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just pulled the battery to do a reset last night after a lockup and today I'm getting notifications everytime I get a new email. it never used to do this and i figured it was just cause I didn't use the gmail. now I'm thinking that it just might be one of the background tasks that I was always killing. I recently switched to home++ and I didn't use the built in task killer all day. so I guess my question is, does anyone know which background task would control this so I don't kill it? also, is there a place to go in the settings to change the led color for email alerts?

I have added both the sender and the senders domain to the list using Windows Live Mail Beta. These emails are still getting through to my Droid X. First, there are no option on the phone to block emails is there? And secondly, there is not an option to add emails to any junk folder on the phone either that I have found. Anyone else having this problem? I've tried both adding my email accounts through Corporate (for hotmail/msn) and the email option on the phone.

I have a POP, gmail and an exchange account.
I'll also sometimes have POP email keep coming back, sometimes 5+ times, after deleting it every time. It may be 30 minutes later, or hours later.
Is there a place to see ALL the icons that an Eris displays? Specifically the ones that appear at the top of the device when things are either "on", or "running"

View 8 Replies View RelatedI updated to v2 of the 2.1 leak several days ago. Since the update, I have noticed that the weather/clock widget that changes depending on your location, no longer works. All it says is "My Location" where the weather should be. I tried removing the widget from the home screen and replacing it, yet that didn't work. When replacing it, I was given the choice of weather for "Add a city", new york, and my location and I chose my location yet the weather never updated. In the weather app, there is also no screen for the leather in my current location, just New york, which can be deleted.
