So I'd rather not go into details about why I need this, but basically I want to be able to access a PDF file straight from the home screen. Do you guys know of a way to do this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWell we've pretty much all heard by now that 2.1 will not be including any more than 3 Home screens. I was REALLY hoping for 5, as 3 is not enough and I'd like more room to play with Widgets. Even with folders and some snazzy organizing it's still not great.
What's the status on Home Screen Replacement Apps? All I know about it Home++ but last I read it was pretty buggy and Force Closed quite a bit. I'm not looking for anything crazy I really just simply want more than 3 screens, 5-7 ideally...are there any apps out there that handle just this?
I know we're getting 5 homescreens in 2.1. still no idea when we'll get that update! last I heard Motorola was in their final testing phase and at that Nexus One conference the head of Moto said the same.. within a few days it should have been ported. Har har we all knew that wasn't happening that quick. I've got my 3 homescreens maxed, and I really would like to use a homescreen app to have more. I don't want to sacrifice stability and I don't need crazy features, I'm simply looking to just go up to 5-7 screens so I can test some larger widgets out in the meantime. I'm not rooted and I don't really want to either. What's best? Home++?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've done the searching and nothing has solved my problem and the last time this was brought as far as I can tell was back in December. My issue is that there is no consistent time when this happens. Sometimes it happens as I unlock the homescreen, as I'm exiting out of an application, as I rotate the screen, and even as I'm shifting between home screens. It also happens randomly based off of my last reset. Since it started (about a month ago) it has happened as long as 3 days after my last reset and sometimes as soon as 20 minutes after. I've tried installing the Home++ application but that did not solve the problem either. Does anyone know of a setting or way to bring the icons back without having to reset the phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there any way I can add a universal inbox shortcut to my homescreen? I just want to click on one icon, that will bring me into a unified inbox with all my messages. I already know I can use the "messages" icon, but if I use that I have to click on "universal inbox" again make it a two-step process each time.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSearched and couldn't find anything on this. Occasionally when i unlock the phone, all of my homescreen widgets are gone. Nothing but the wallpaper is visible. It usually happens when i am browsing on Dolphin and the screen times out. Then i hit the unlock button, swipe across to unlock, and when i hit home key, all apps are gone. Must reboot to get widgets back. Has anyone had this problem or know what to do to fix it?
View 5 Replies View Related...can you make it default back to the homescreen and not contacts?Using Launcher Pro.
View 3 Replies View Relatedjust noticed today that when going back to my homescreen, the weather/clock takes a split second to re-appear. i have beautiful widgets weather, and this is the first time it has happened. batt pulled, rebooted, reloaded skins, and no luck.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was usind ADW for a while and liked it. I like LP better because of the scrollable bar bit when I hit the home key or back up to home, about 50+% of the time it takes ten seconds to redraw. I do ude widgets but it should not be this bad. In settings I tried keeping LP in memory, I set high mem useage and many of the other options and its the same. I even uninstalled wiped cache pulled battery and its the same. Is there a setting config I should be using, or not?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted driod 2.1 and wanted to know if there was a way to increase the home screen from 3 to 5+ without using a custom rom or home launcher. Modify a preference file or something? I have tried a few launchers and prefer the stock one.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI turned the power control widget on and don't like it on my home screen. How do I take it off my home screen?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just received a new Droid X yesterday from VZW and immediately upgraded it to official 2.2. The thing seems slower and more jerky than my stock incredible which is pretty damn smooth. If I scroll through the homescreens with a static (non live) wallpaper, it's almost like the walpaper stutters and jumps forward and back a fraction of an inch as it moves across the screen. Haven't really noticed it when using a live wallpaper. Anyone else see this? Really frustrating. Dissapointingly I might have to go back to the DINC if this continues. I don't notice this at all when using Launcher Pro.
View 1 Replies View RelatedLoving it so far, but I have a quick question (figured I might get a quicker response here)...by default the homescreen is on page 2. Is there any way to make the default homescreen the middle one (page 3)? Edit: never mind, apparently it's an issue with Launder 2.1
View 6 Replies View RelatedWith any of the homescreen replacement apps (Launcher 2.1, Home++, Sweeter Home Preview 2) my phone refuses to save which homescreen I want to be default for when I hit the "Home" button. This didn't use to be true. Something changed somewhere along the way, and now it'll save the "default action" for a little while and then it'll ask me to select again.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHello all, new to AF and new Droid user. I cant seem to find an option to save an MMS picture. Am I doing something wrong? Also, I keep reading that others say it's possible to have my yahoo email utilizing push notifications, but I don't see an option for that either. All I see is a 5 minute "pull" option.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm just trying to transfer the pictures I've taken on the Droid X so far to my PC. However, when I plug the phone into my laptop (via provided USB cable), the only two options I get are:
Install Motorola Driver
Open Folder to View Files
Okay, should be the second option. But when I click on this (Open Folder), the only folder options I get are things like: Autorun, Config, Setup, etc.). No "folders" per se.
