Motorola Droid :: USB Docking Cables
Feb 14, 2010I left the USB cable that came with my phone at the office, so i decided to try and use a generic cable that i had lying around to transfer files from my computer to my phone (with the help of a micro USB adaptor). However, when plugged up to my computer, it only charges the phone but does not give me the option to mount the SD card as it does when i use the Motorola cable. The generic cable i have came with my external hard drive, and i've been able to use it to transfer files to multiple devices with no problems. I thought all USB cables were pretty much the same, so did Motorola put something like a chip in the cable to get people to buy OEM?

Jul 12, 2010I have seen the video and pictures of the Samsung Galaxy S (International edition) docking station and it looks so nice! Check out the Official Samsung Galaxy S international website and you will notice the docking station at the beginning and end of the video. Click on the bubble of the last part of the video and you will see a large picture and explanation of the docking station (http://galaxys.samsungmobile.com/)I was wondering if anyone has heard if the US versions of the Galaxy S will be getting any docking stations of their own? Jan 21, 2010A few months ago I had a TG01 and after a bit of surfing the net i came upon a web site that showed a homemade docking station for the Toshiba, I now have a Hero and for the life of me cant remember the name of the site (It had a iphone in the background which someone wittingly commented wanting to know what that "Thing" was (the iphone) if thats any help) the docking station was a universal one i think so i was going to have a go at making one, sorry no lego bricks here

Feb 27, 2010I simply love my docking station for my DROID.but I also want to protect my fone while on the go from any accidents so I also want a protective case for it.The case I bought won't let me put it in the docking station in the case. IS there any fone protection that will allow me to put it in the station without having to take it out of the every time?I would think this would make the case not stay on so well from repeatedly taking it off and putting it back on.The case I bought, unfortunately, did not come with screen protection like I thought it would. It's simply an empty front. Therefore does anybody have a suggestion as to what case covers the whole thing to avoid screen scratches?

Aug 19, 2009I was wondering if anybody docks their Magic (or similar) to one of those thing-a-ma-bobs that holds it between two speakers? They're generally made for iPods but hold other players as well.Because of the wee USB port, I have bought a little adaptor so now I've got 3.5mm jack, but I don't know how well that would dock.
I just want something cheap so I can set it on the kitchen counter whilst making dinner and washing up. I don't even necessarily need it to be at a good angle, so I could just buy a cheapie pair of stereo speakers, but thought something small and compact would be more convenient if I want to move things around to different rooms.I went ahead and bought something verrah verrah cheap off Amazon. I'm not looking for a Carnegie Hall experience, so cheap oughta do the trick. But, would still like to hear about your gadget if you want to talk about it.

I'm creating it by calling showDialog with the display's id. The onCreateDialog handler logs fine and I can step through it without an issue, but I've attached it since it seems like I'm missing something:

Is there something missing from this? Some questions have talked about having this problem when creating a dialog from onCreate, which happen because the activity isn't created yet, but this is coming from a call from a menu object, and the appContext variable seems like it is correctly populated in the debugger.
Android :: Android WebView Not Loading A JavaScript File But Android Browser Loads It Fine
Jun 3, 2010I'm writing an application which connects to a back office site. The backoffice site contains a whole slew of JavaScript functions, at least 100 times the average site. Unfortunately it does not load them, and causes much of the functionality to not work properly. So I am running a test. I put a page out on my server which loads the FireBugLite javascript text. Its a lot of javascript and perfect to test and see if the Android WebView will load it. The WebView loads nothing, but the browser loads the Firebug Icon. What on earth would make the difference, why can it run in the browser and not in my WebView? Any suggestions.
More background information, in order to get the stinking backoffice application available on a Droid (or any other platform except windows) I needed to trick the bakcoffice application to believe what's accessing the website is Internet Explorer. I do this by modifying the WebView User Agent.Also for this application I've slimmed my landing page, so I could give you the source to offer me aid. package ksc.myKMB;
