Kayso, I just got my new Droid 2 in the mail & I'm trying to download ringtones & whatnot, &it says there is no sd card installed when, infact, there is. So I've rebooted it a few times, & removed & replaced the sd card as well, so what more can I do?

I see other posts about ringtones but here is an interesting quesiton. i found a few ringtones from sites like funformobile.com and waptrick.com. i go there on my eris. my quesiton is this. how do i download the ringtone i want to my sd card? there is no way to save it. if i click download, it starts playing in the media player.

View 2 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this is an issue with the ROM I'm using (Sapphire 1.0), ADW Launcher, or just an issue with Android. Any app I have installed on SD doesn't show its icon. Example, I had a shortcut to Vignette on my home screen. Once I moved it to SD it no longer showed the little Camera icon, just a generic Android icon. This happened with every app I moved.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy original phone kept shutting off and then wouldn't boot into the Android OS, so I took it back to Verizon today and they replaced. They swapped out the SD card from the original phone and put it into the new phone. Here is the interesting part, two of my apps were on the new phone without me having to go to the market and download them again. Shopsavy and Robo defense free were both on the new phone right at the start up of the new phone, leading me to believe that full apps can be installed to the SD card? The only thing I could think of to explain them being back on my phone but not on the SD card would be that part of the program was on the SD card and when it booted up it say the .exe for the program wasn't there so it went out automatically and downloaded them again without me giving the phone permission to do so. I don't think I'll hit the 256 max anyways but considering the concensus is that you can't save the entire app to the SD card I found this interesting.

When I attach a file and pic to send as mms in handscent they are all alphabetical but in 2 sections. i'll scroll down through a-z, then after that it starts a-z again with other rigntones. They are all stored in same folder. Why is there 2 sections of ringtones instead of just all in one a-z list?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to download mp3 files from my file server onto my Droid. Everytime I try to download a song I get the error message Download Unsuccessful. I thought it was a problem with my server but all of my computers can download from it, and I just went and got my mom's Droid ERIS to test. It could successfully download mp3 files from the server. This is ridiculous, why wouldn't my Droid be able to download these files but the ERIS can? Is this a case of Droid DOESN'T?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 8 or 9 ringtones downloaded into the music app from ringtone. All done prior to the Froyo update. Very easy, just download and wala, there they are. So, I just downloaded 3 more songs. Upload successful. Go to the music app and they aren't there. Downloaded them again, go to the music app....still not there, just the previous downloads. So, where are they? ON my sd card somewhere? How do I find them, no sense in keeping on downloading and eating space. Should I uninstall and reinstall due to Froyo?
