Feb 25, 2010Couple quick questions regarding the OEM Calendar and it's functionality:
1 - On my google calendar I am able to enter reoccuring items and they sync with my eris as they should. I also see all the various holidays on my google cal but these items do not sync to my eris. Is there a way to get the holidays to port over to my native eris calendar?
2 - My contacts has a place for defining a contact's birthday and anniversary. How can I get these user defined dates to populate to my eris calendar? Seems like this should be simple functionality no?

May 24, 2010I go into the calendar app, not widget and go to my calendars and try to add calendars and the box that pops up has no options. It's starting to bug me because I want to add the holidays and Facebook birthdays.

Dec 2, 2009We have several users here in our office with the HTC Hero using the Google Apps Premiere system (myself included). I have subscribed to the US Holidays calendar on my Google Apps Calendar. It syncs to my phone with no problem. We have another user who is not so lucky. If I go to my calendar menu on the Hero I see where I can check/uncheck the US Holiday calendar. On the other user's phone, he does not have a US Holidays calendar that he can check/uncheck. I've seen similar posts that regard Sports calendars but have not found a solution for the US Holidays calendar.

Nov 10, 2009I'm a new Droid Eris user and have been using Google Calendar for some time.I have a single calendar set up which is syncing with the Eris.I can successfully add/edit/delete entries from both applications and have them show up just fine on the other side.I have a couple of recurring entries that I've since deleted in Google Calendar but are still showing up on my Eris.The unique thing about both of these entries is that they were meeting requests sent to my Gmail address and accepted from there.They have since been cancelled from the original sender and are now removed from my Google Calendar.My calendar entries are labeled as dark blue, and these two show as light blue.I cannot select them on the Eris to edit or delete them.

Nov 15, 2010On my Google calendar (on the Desktop) I subscribe to a calendar showing all Red Wings games. (I just searched under Add > Browse Interesting Calendars. For the life of me I can't get it to show up on my phone. It doesn't show up in my calendars list under the menu. I've had this problem for weeks. Any ideas?I'm using a Droid 2.I'd be fine with just copying all the events to my google calendar instead of just subscribing to an outside calendar, but I don't know how to do that either.

Jan 5, 2010when I have a new event come up I add it to my phone so I dont forget it, with my Blackberry when I was at an appointment I would add notes and sync it, my office could see my notes in my Google calender and act accordingly. I noticed yesterday the 2 appointments I have this week are NOT showing up in my Google calender on the web. I have the sync set up auto, calender and gmail boxes checked in settings, what am I missing. This is causing me scheduling conflicts and I cant leave it like this.

Aug 3, 2010Kind of annoying having the little arrow to say there's an event on practically every single day on the HTC Calendar widget. This wasn't the case before the other day so I'm assuming it's a 2.2 thing, not sure though.
As far as I can tell there's no way to hide them either, and it was done automatically. Just because I have a person on my FB doesn't mean I care so much when their birthday is. It dilutes my calendar and means I can't tell when my actual important things are happening
And don't say "use another calendar app", I'm otherwise happy with this, it's simple and does what I need of it

Aug 12, 2010I have the contacts birthday's and events enable in my google calendar, I'm able to see them on the desktop, but they are not showing up in the phone's app. It is checked for sync and visible in the calendars config. Also other special sports calendar that I have are not showing.

Nov 22, 2010I have just started using my new HTC Desire (Android 2.2) and am having a problem with my Google calendar not showing up.
If I go to Settings > Accounts & sync, my Gmail and contacts show up, but no calendar.
If I set a new calendar event in my google calendar on my PC, the phone gives me a reminder on the notification bar, but does not show up on the calendar.
I have tried removing and re-registering the google account on the phone, but the calendar will still not show. Any ideas?

Yesterday, my seminars were added to the Uni calendar and so are now automatically on my Google calendar but now, on my phone, the lectures have disappeared and only the seminars are shown... It's all there properly on Google but not my phone so I'm a bit confused.

Sep 30, 2013i have all my contacts and calendar in my google account. I added a birthday to one of my contacts (on the web version of my contacts google.com/contacts) and it shows up as expected in the web version of the calendar google.com/calendar (see screenshot).
However, when i view my calendar on the nexus 4 (stock calendar app), the new entry fails to show up, even though all calendars are fully synced etc (see screenshot).
I have checked the contact details on both google.com/contacts and on the phone and the added birthday shows up correctly, it's just doesn't seem to want to appear on the phone version of the calendar. I have checked that all calendars are synced on the phone (see screenshot)
I have tried clearing the app data and cache for the calendar app - no change.
KitKat 4.4 :: SMS Showing In Stock Email App (LG G2)
Mar 26, 2014My LG G2 took the update yesterday and the change brought a backup of my sms and phone calls. The calls arent' the problem but the SMS are. I use Handcent as my default, but every SMS is showing in the (stock) email app which is only me work exchange accounts. How do I stop this, work doesn't need to see my texts.
I back up using SMS Backup+ to my gmail and have confirmed those settings.
Android :: Wrong Date In Calendar Day Layout - Showing
May 4, 2010In Android 2.1, when I am opening Calendar application, going to Agenda view and from their if I go to Day schedule, that date is shown as "Thursday 01-Jan-1970" in title bar. It is not picking system date.
This is same case for week and Month view. In week schedule it is showing "December 1969 - January 1970" and for Month it display "January 1970" at Calendar title bar. This is happening when I go to day/month/week schedule from Agenda page.
I am not seeing any error in logcat message when wrong date is displayed.
