View 2 RepliesI have a HTC Thunderbolt and use all the Google tools for my calendar, email and contacts. At work I have Outlook 2007. I would REALLY like to have my Outlook calendar (at minimum) pushed/synchronized to my phone. Is there an app or a way to configure this to work? Right now I am using the Outlook Web Mobile app for my email and I can view my calendar there but I would like schedule/calendar all in one place.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a Windows 7 laptop with Outlook 2010 beta on it. Loving 2010, but HTC Sync doesn't seem to want to work with it. I've asked HTC, and they say it don't work with 2010. If anybody knows a way of making it work with 2010. Alternatively, I'm considering buying Outlook 2007 to use instead. Does HTC Sync work with Outlook 2007? I want to sync contacts, calendars, and anything else it might sync!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently using Google Calendar on my desktop to sync with Outlook, strictly as a "backup" for my Outlook calendar, in case something were to happen and I needed a backup of my Outlook Calendar. I tried using Google Sync/Calendar on my Droid Incredible but had some problems and decided to go back to using HTC sync. Since that time, I have hard reset my phone but am now having problems with some appts showing up in duplicate on my Outlook calendar, My Google calendar and on my phone.
Even though I am only using HTC Sync on my phone and only using Google Calendar/Sync on my desktop, could this be the reason for these duplicates in all 3 places? Do I need to stop using Google calendar/Google sync with my Outlook to prevent this from happening further? Also, the only reason I stopped using Google Calendar for my Droid was that it seems you cannot keep more than a month or so worth of past appt's in your calendar and I need to go back at least a year for work. Does anyone else find this limitation or anything else about Google Calendar annoying and limiting?
Me and my manager have an HTC desire HD, I use gmail for everything but my manager uses outlook 2010 to manage all his events. He's tried syncing with htc sync 3 on his laptop but this has put all his events on his phone one hour later than they should be. Also we have tried to clear the calendar data using settings>applications>calendar>clear data but its not deleting all the events .
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I am a proud owner of a brand new Nexus One. I love it, but have hit a small hitch.
I am previously an iphone user and got quite a lot of use out of syncing my work (exchange) calendar onto my iphone and using it on the go to keep track of meetings and such.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like this is native functionality in Android 2.1? I was able to set up my work email account with active sync, and that works fine... but when I look in the Accounts area of settings and select my work email, there is no option to sync Calendar.
I have read that you can use the google calendar desktop application to sync your outlook (via plugin) to your google calendar, which the Android device could then pull down... unfortunately, like many users in a professional environment, the IT group here refuses to give me admin privileges on my work computer. I tried installing the google calendar app into a non-protected directory, but when it tries to activate the Outlook plugin it simply fails with an error listed as 1008. Upon looking that up, it of course says it is user privileges related.
In addition, if my work PC is off, I wouldn't get those new meetings pushed to my device anyway... so that is a big hassle as well.
Is there a free way to get this done WITHOUT the google calendar desktop app? I have all the account info I need (hell, I already set this up many times on my iphone over the years)...
EDIT: Also I would like to state that I don't want a separate calendar app... I want to use the base Android one. I'm fine with getting an app to enable that, but I don't really want to have 2 different calendar apps to go through...
I'm brand new to the Android world and, in fact, don't even have a phone yet. However, I'll be picking up the LG Optimus S w/Sprint in the next day or so. All my information (email, calendar, contacts, notes, etc) are all managed in Outlook (stand alone, not Exchange). I've been told that there's no way to sync directly from Outlook to an Android phone so I'm looking for the cheapest way to accomplish that and have good results.
My emails come through Gmail so that part is already done. I use Google's Calendar Sync program so my calendar is already in my Gmail account so that is also done. The contacts and notes are only in Outlook so that's where my main question lies..........
My first posting as I am new to Android and the Desire. Must say everything great so far and synchronised with my PC Outlook 2002 first go. Pity it won't do notes as my Apple Ipod touch did.I now use my Desire as the master diary entry and control as set up in the options. As my Outlook 2002 is now aged I thought I might transfer to Google calendars where I have an account. But when I open the Tools in Synchronisation I only have the Outlook option. Can anyone advise how I sync with Google Calendars as then in effect I am using the Desire as the transfer medium from Outlook to Google without the hazards of import/export
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had any issues syncing 2010 microsoft outlook calendars on their droid incredible? When I first set it up it was super easy and had no issues (i was on 2007). Then my work computer got upgraded to 2010 and it worked for a bit and now the calendar won't sync correctly. Contacts and emails have no issues. I get an error message on my calendar though and only certain appointments sync. I tried to delete the account and reset it but each time I did that it double up appointments in my work computer outlook and still didn't get all appointments on my phone. Now I am afraid to try that again since it is a pain to delete all the duplicates.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using W7 Ultimate x64 and had no issues with the latest version of HTC Sync and Outlook 2007 x86 - all fine and dandy.
Upgraded last night to Office 2010 x64 and now Sync won't see my Desire - any reasons for this? I've not tried another USB port as yet so will do so later this evening but thought I'd see if anyone else has got it working.
This is the full retail Office 2010, not the beta/technical preview btw.
my phone is syncing to google calendar just fine. Im having sync issues between my outlook on my PC and the google calendar. I'm using goog calendar sync and it doesnt seem to wan to sync ALL apts. It seemed to work fine at first but now I can try to force a sync and there are a few entries on my outlook for next week that it just wont sync. But if I put a new dummy entry in to test it seems to sync. It's sporadic.Any suggestions? This is the only solution I can use as HTC sync does not work for me.Plus I like the fact that it's 2 way and it happens automatically..no direct connection required.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to sync a calendar of a HTC Android device with Outlook AND Google Calendar? I explicitly mention "a calendar" and "a HTC Android device" since this seems to be a general problem.I installed HTC Sync 3.0 and managed to get Outlook Calendar items from Outlook to the HTC Wildfire. Frustratingly HTC Sync creates a new Calendar on my phone called "PC Sync". So all the items go there. Since this is a new calendar not a single calendar item from my phone goes to Outlook. When I move or create appointments in this new category, they also appear in Outlook. Though this category issue is annoying, the most annoying is that these appointments do not appear in Google Calendar. The new category is simply not there. I suspect "HTC Sync" is a special local category like "My Calendar" is.HTC obviously doesn't quite understand what "synchronization" means and what customers want. Unbelievable that HTC creates its own category where by default there is only one-way synchronization. Not to speak from synchronization from the phone and Google Calendar. Does anyone have an idea how to get Outlook and Google Calendar synchronized via my HTC device?
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor people who want a fully automatic way to keep both Calendar & Contacts sync'd both ways between Outlook and Google Gmail / Calendar.
I've already done a lot of research on this topic as it is currently the most important item I've got to have working in order to keep the Droid. It seems like nobody really has a great solution yet, but there are some in the works. This thread can serve as a master list for Outlook sync software.
Here is what I've found so far:
CompanionLink $40 (released, sounds like the best currently available): Sync Microsoft Outlook with your Google account and your phone | CompanionLink
Missing-Sync $40(update: Released. Calendar syncing is now supported, but requires additional app installed on phone.): Keep your life in sync with The Missing Sync for Android from Mark/Space Appears to be the best all-in-one solution for syncing Calendar, Contacts, Notes, Docs, Media and more. Includes 'Proximity Sync' - syncs wirelessly & automatically w/ your computer.
gSyncit $15 (released, but lots of problems reported by users. EDIT: Some favorable reviews in this thread, may have improved reliability): http://www.daveswebsite.com/software/gsync/
SyncMyCal $25 (released): Share Outlook Calendar Free, Google Calendar Sync, Pocket Outlook Google Sync - SyncMyCal
Anybody using this?
OGG Sync $30/yr (Not yet released): OggSync - Sync Google Calendar and Contacts with Outlook and Windows Mobile Device Sync (including Microsoft Office) Blog Archive Real... Native... Google Contact Sync — OggSync 4.0
Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook $50/yr (Requires Google Apps Premier or EDU Edition):[url]
Are there any good free apps out there that can sync Contacts? Tell me and I'll add them to the list.
I have a HTC Desire (updated to Froyo) and have been syncing my contacts with my Outlook 2010 (running Windows 7 Enterprise-32 bit). Everything seems to synchronize well but somehow the "email address-Display As" fields gets updated in outlook, which then doesnt allow me to send emails to those email addresses unless I manually go and update the display as field inside my outlook contacts. I have manually updated all the contacts once already hoping that it may not be due to HTC Sync but when I did the sync then immediately all my Outlook email ids got updated.
Now everytime I try and send an email I immediately get Undeliverable receipt from System Administrator stating the following:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: test Sent: 14-Sep-2010 17:41
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached: abc@xyz.com on 14-Sep-2010 17:41
None of your e-mail accounts could send to this recipient.
I finally got my work email sync'd on my Android phone (Outlook). However, all my annoying meetings from work are now popping up as "notifications" in my phone's status bar. I can't stand corporate meetings, which are a colossal waster of time, and i don't want to be reminded of all the meetings on my work schedule. I was able to successfully turn of the Outlook mail notifications on my phone (and I still get Gmail notifications, since they are two separate email systems, which is exactly what I want). How do I turn my "Outlook calendar reminders," but still be reminded of my Google Calendar reminders, which is my personal, and far more important, calendar?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe goal: I need to sync my google calendar (or directly with android phone) with groupwise at work.
Constraints:
No groupwise mobile
No wireless updates
No automated "delegating" appointments (work blocks automated email from sending to outside addresses)
Currently using:
Goupwise PDA connect with my WinMO phone (buying a incredible in 9 days)
What I've looked at:
CompanionLink cost 40$ plus they are stopping groupwise support. Ideally, I'd like something that works like PDA connect. It uses USB to manually sync with my current phone, I just plug it in at work in the morning and click sync. I saw something about people putting Outlook on a PC along with the Groupwise client and it could be configured to "talk" to the Groupwise server.
My calendar syncs in only one direction: in other words if I enter an event on my PC in google calendar, it shows up on my phone...but if I enter the event on the phone first, it doesn't sync to my google calendar online..is that normal?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe just upgraded to Exchange 2010 at work, and all our other phones work just fine. Evo, iphones, other Droid models, so it's not the server. This one phone is the only one we have that is a Eris and we can't get it to sync contacts. I have tried to clear the calendar storage, nothing, redid the account, nothing. It gets email and contacts just not the calendar and has the ! next to the sync circle. If anyone can please tell me how to resolve this it would be great. Been searching for 2 days trying to figure it out.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI came to the Incredible from a Blackberry, and to sync my Google Calendar/work Outlook Calendar/Blackberry Calendar required me to export my Outlook Calendar as a .CSV, delete my Google Calendar, import the .CSV to Google, delete the Blackberry Calendar, and then run Google Sync.On the Incredible, I could not find how to delete the cached calendar until this morning. Just go to Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, Calendar Storage, then click Clear data. Then back out to Settings, select Accounts & sync, then click Sync all.Befor someone suggusts that I can just use the HTC Sync to cut the steps down, I cannot connect the Incredible to my work PC, and even if I could, I cannot run any "unapproved" software, and work won't approve of HTC Sync since they dont see a "business purpose" to it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFYI for other users that are switching to a G1: Basically I am huge user of Outlook 2007 & the rest of the MS Office family. I have/had a T-Mobile Dash and I love it but its time to move on The 2 biggest deals breakers for me was no tethering (sp?) with my laptop and no sync for outlook (basically for calender as contacts get less updating and go directly on the phone) Tether- hopefully someone will make it work (come on, I got the internet on my Dash for 5.99 with just 2 proxy settings) Well back to the point
There are a couple of ways to get your contacts to your G1. I tried downloading the Wrike program and guess what, it does not work because I don't have Exchange Server 2007 yet maybe 90% of this site doesn't either I tried exporting my Outlook contacts into a CSV file then importing them into my Google contacts but some names did not come up properly, so that did not work.............
I tried gsyncit, google calendar sync and they always miss 20% of my entries. I have 10 years worth of important calendar entries (about 20000). And I know the reason why they miss it because there are sometimes server issues and when Google thinks your spamming, they block you. So I want to directly offline sync from my outlook. No way to directly sync from Outlook calendar? No 3rd party sync software works 100%.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC Incredible on Verison running Android 2.1. With the Blackberry (NOT Exchange), I was easily able to sync contacts, calendar, Tasks, and notes with my BB. I cannot seem to do this with the Incredible.
I actually found an HTC Sync program on my phone which I installed and was able to sync the calendar and contacts once, but I have been unable to do so again. I have not found any snyc for notes or tasks. This seems like such a standard need that I cannot understand why it is not a basic ability on this awesome phone.
Anyway, I need to be able to sync my contacts, calendar, tasks and notes AND I would like to be able to backup my phone to my PC.
