Sep 25, 2010I have been rotating my D2 for 10+ minutes on all three axes and the compass never turns green. How long should it take? Am I doing something wrong?

Motorola Droid :: ChevyNo1 1.1Ghz ULV Caused Slow Loading To Boot Loop
Sep 28, 2010Currently I am running Blueberry Liquid Frozen Yogurt 1.6, with Slayhers 1200 Kernel. I set it up last night and I've been using it very lightly and now I have about 50% battery. Just for kicks and giggles I decided to try ChevyNo1's 1.1Ghz ULV Kernel to see what would happen as I have heard very good things about it. And when I flashed it and upon Reboot the boot animation loaded extremely slow. And when it finally got to the Droid Eye it went into the dreaded boot loop. So now I pose these questions to the Root Gurus, did I do something wrong? Should I choose another kernel? And how do I go about choosing the optimum kernel to maximize performance? With LFY 1.6 and Slayhers 1200kernel I can get a 1339 on Quadrant, and a Short Bench of 316-466, and a long bench of 579-585. And a native bench of 945.77. This is all with SetCPU set to Ondemand.

Apr 4, 2010Yesterday I clicked the update button on my droid, and now my droid is dead, all that appears is the motorola logo, even after pulling the battery. Of course technical support at Verizon has no clue what is wrong. The phone will not even turn off unless i take the battery out, the motorola logo shows until the phone goes dead.
As this is my second droid, I don't know that I want a 3rd one. My opinion is that the droid would be a neat smartphone-- if it worked. I doubt that anyone could ever consider using the droid as a business phone, since it randomly quits working. I've had many cell phones and blackberries and never had to return any of them.
I have the best buy protection plan, but not sure that entitles me to a new or different phone, since my droid is about 3 months old.

I've lost Multi Touch Zoom on the Dolphin Browser Since the 2.1 update.
The native browser will not multi touch zoom either (I thought this was supposed to be included in the update).
Any ideas? I can't find a setting to turn it on.

Oct 1, 2012I was wondering how I could turn off the blinking green light on my phone every time I get a text. If I don't clear my notifications of the new text(s) right away, the blinking light kills my battery. I do want to keep the notification on my drop down bar, I just want the blinking light to stop. Is there anyway to do this? I know I can take off the blinking light and drop down bar notification, but I don't want both gone, only the blinking light.

Aug 16, 2010I have a ListView in my app that has a background image. All of the rows are a semi transparent white (#35FFFFFF). Whenever I scroll the list, the rows turn a light green that obscures the background image until I stop scrolling (usually--sort of unpredictable). Sometimes it flickers between the background image/color and the green. And yes, I have set the cache color hint to #00000000. Any advice about this would be appreciated.

I find the default a lil weird because of the green 'bars' that fill up corresponding to what time of day it is (not knowing if its a holiday bar or an appointment because its always green). Jan 30, 2010When I take videos with my droid, they always have "noise" in them. Little fuzzy dots of green and such (If you don't know what I mean by noise). I have set the quality to high and all that good stuff, even did changed the videos mbps from 3 to 8 with that trick that was posted, to no avail. Anyway, here is the video. Its pretty hard to see the problem with youtubes quality, but if you can spot it just picture it as being a hell of a lot worse. Also, the darkness is not part of the problem, I realize the droid doesn't do well in dimly lit areas, although my room is brighter than the video lets on. Pay close attention to the walls, especially when I look at the ceiling and you may see it through YouTubes bad quality.

Then reverse order while charging i manually changed the Hue and Saturation of every icon in gimp and can upload them if anyone would like them.
I liked the battery icon but not the color and i didn't know if anyone out there would like to have them!

You can use one finger to hold the green icon, then you'll notice a little green icon on the other side of the screen (where the sound off icon usually is, it disappears when you hold the unlock icon).
