The GPS icon is on the notification bar; but it is not animated.
I still think it's on though; because when I open up Maps the icon still does not animate like used to.
Is this happening to anyone else?

On a rooted droid, can OTA update notifications easily be turned back on? If so, maybe we should all do it and increase the odds of catching the update.zip.
View 2 Replies View RelatedYesterday I clicked the update button on my droid, and now my droid is dead, all that appears is the motorola logo, even after pulling the battery. Of course technical support at Verizon has no clue what is wrong. The phone will not even turn off unless i take the battery out, the motorola logo shows until the phone goes dead.
As this is my second droid, I don't know that I want a 3rd one. My opinion is that the droid would be a neat smartphone-- if it worked. I doubt that anyone could ever consider using the droid as a business phone, since it randomly quits working. I've had many cell phones and blackberries and never had to return any of them.
I have the best buy protection plan, but not sure that entitles me to a new or different phone, since my droid is about 3 months old.
Not sure this has happened to anyone else but ever since the Andoid update, my pots and pans have started to turn green.

I've lost Multi Touch Zoom on the Dolphin Browser Since the 2.1 update.
The native browser will not multi touch zoom either (I thought this was supposed to be included in the update).
Any ideas? I can't find a setting to turn it on.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to turn off the 3G (other than using airplane mode)? When I got my droid X a week ago it was working and now it's not. I did turn off a number of things to save battery life and I connect mainly through WiFi but not the 3G connection is not working, no 3G icon on the status bar even with airplane mode off and the phone itself working to make calls (3 bars). I've looked all over "settings" to see if there is a way to turn 3G off and on and don't find anything.

I've tried battery pull(and letting it sit there several minutes), sd card pull, charging it while there isn't a battery in the phone, and charging it with the battery plugged in.I can't get the phone to come back on. I'm rooted with CM(no overclock kernel). Do you guys think if I take it to verizon to get the warranty replacement I will get a 570 dollar charge after they replace it? View 11 Replies View RelatedI am an avid rom flasher, i had just switched to bb0.4 yesterday and was fixing it all up, i aid it to rest on its charging dock as i do every night at about 4 am, i had my alarm set for 9, i slept so good, but woke upo and it was 11? glad i did not have to work. But my screen is blank, i picked my droid up and hit the power button, the M comes up and then going into BB's quickboot, then it goes blank, i try again, same M then quick boot, then blank. NOw nothing, i cannot get the screen to turn on for the life of the phone, plugged in or not.Its dead...... The white light comes on when i have it pluged in right under the usb port, but im so sad, i have an original release day droid thats been running great and working with ulv kernals like a king, i was runnning in the 1700's for mflops, 1366 in quadrant, im hurt....i dont want no stupid refurb....Is there anything i can do, what does a phone do when its bricked? are these signs of being bricked? There is something very odd about this story, i bought two droids on nov 6th, one for me and a friend, he stayed stock, me aggressively rooted and his did the same exact thing last week, his died out of the blue but he had dropped it on the floor and never turned on again, just same white light under the usb port...any help would be great before i get something new. By the end of this letter i switched batteries with friends refurb droid and OMG my droid booted right up! I am so happy, now where can i get a new battery like NOW...Sorry for the long sad story but at least it has a good ending.

I have searched and learned I need to turn my notifications in settings off. But I can't figure out how to do that. People say go to setting>notifications>and turn it off. But when I go to >setting, then there is no >notifications option. The only notifications setting I can find is under >sound>notification ringtone, but not an option to turn it off or on.
