HTC Hero :: Music Albums
Jan 25, 2010If I copy a complelation album to the SD Card. How do I dispaly the contents of the album and not have a load of individual artists.
If a copy an album by one artist it works ok. I get the album name followed by a list of all the tracks which is what I want from the compelation.

Oct 4, 2009Not sure if I'm missing something really obvious here When I take photos they all go into one folder. In the Albums app I can't seem to create new folders to place photos into. Am I missing something really obvious? If I need an app does anyone have suggestions?

Aug 28, 2009I just got this phone yesterday, so this maybe a really stupid question, but when I plug the Hero into the computer via USB, there is an DCIM file for photos, but when I create a new folder (with my computer) in this folder, it does not appear in the phone's album application.

May 17, 2010Everything went fine, downloaded and installed in about a half hour. I was pleasantly surprised all of my contacts showed up, all my apps were still there just like I had it when I had 1.5. Oh, and texts and recent calls still being there was another plus.One thing doesn't seem to be working though.My albums are gone! Well, not really. They're still on the SD card with their respective pictures in them, in the albumthumbs folder. I can't see them on the phone, though. My question is this: Does anyone else have this problem? And has anyone fixed it? I tried unmounting the card and remounting, and they still didn't show up. Is there another directory they have to be in with 2.1?

Jan 7, 2010Having probs with music on my t-mobile g2 (Hero) can save single mp3's to the sd card and it plays them, how do I get it to recognise albums and tracks within albums, it just seems as if it doesn't like them, tried creating a folder on the sd card with the album name, putting tracks inside this and cannot get it to work? Also want the player to show album art but having difficulty with that too - do I need to use WMP or something else and sync?

Sep 12, 2010So on my DInc running Froyo I now have an extra link under my google account that lets me sync my Picasa web albums. I have no idea how this works though. I took pictures, but they didn't upload to Picasa. Can I set this up natively? I've been using Photobucket, but I'd prefer a Google service if it works better.

Jun 8, 2013I just transferred a bunch of pictures (over 2000) from my ipod to my mytouch 4g slide. I had them all in neat little albums on the ipod and i would like to do the same on my phone. Problem is i cant figure out how, other than putting the files into separate folders on my sd card, which i don't like because i like to have a general folder of all of them together with separate albums for specific things, and sometimes a picture would go into more than one album. Is there an app or a way to do this on my phone, I don't mind if the app creates copies of my pictures as long as the original files are left untouched. And is there a way to organize my pictures by name rather than date? Because when I transferred them it don't keep date it was added but rather the date i copied it, and when organized by name its correct because of the numbers in the file name.

Feb 5, 2013Today I got my first ever smart phone - nexus 4. The phone is great and all, but I hate how everything I do on the phone is connected to my google account. For example, when I enter my photo gallery, there are bunch of albums, blogs data, twitter data, random stuff from my google account which I DO NOT want on my phone. When I tried to delete the albums I accidentally made them to appear offline. Now there is no way to delete the albums. When I select a specific album I only get option to see "details". How do I remove them?
I tried removing my gmail account from my phone and it made things even worse. The contacts I manually typed to my phone are gone as well.

Sep 2, 2012I have a droidx 2. I am trying to create a photo album to send to friends. I tried to figure it out on my own and it shows a little icon that made an album, and I have supposedly inserted photos into it, but when I click on it, it doesn't show the pictures in the album. So I don'tdont even know if they are in there or what. how to send it via email if possible. I have the entire droidx 2 64-pg manual downloaded to my device, and none of it says anything about albums.

HTC Incredible :: Hide Folders - Don't Show Up In Albums?
Apr 29, 2010Did they seriously not include a way to "hide" folders that you don't want showing up in albums? For example, it just searched my SD card and came up with an "icons" folder that contains various program icons. Is there seriously no way to tell it not to appear in HTC album? On windows mobile we had to resort to registry edits to correct this, but I'm afraid we can't do that on android... Also, is there serious no subfolders? So I can't have something like: Photographs -> Family -> Pets

Sprint HTC Hero :: Scrolling Through Music Albums
Feb 6, 2010So when I first got my sprint hero when I would go to the music it would open up in such a way that I could finger swipe to flip through albums. Somehow...I've done something so when I open up the music from the icon, it just shows me the current/last album and song I was on. I've clicked all the little icons on the bottom, and they show various top to bottom text menus...but nowhere I can find to get back to make it where the albums are seen in that distance where you finger swipe left/right to flip through them.

Jul 20, 2010I've tried out a few different music players, cubed, mixzing and the stock music player and I can't seem to figure out if there is any way for the apps to just mix up the order of my albums and play them like that. The shuffle features just mix up all the songs from all the albums, but I want to listen to a whole album at a time, just don't want to pick the order the albums come up in if that makes sense. Is there a way to do this with any music players?

Oct 29, 2009Is anyone else having a problem viewing photos on Facebook using the browser? When I open a friend's album it shows the thumbnails and once I click on a picture it brings up a (flash looking) photo viewer window. This doesn't allow you comment, like, or view comments on the pictures. Is there a different way to view these, am I missing something?

On all my old basic phones I could sort out my photo albums easily, placing family photos all together and nudies together as well. On this phone, all photos go in 1 of 2 places. If I take a pic with the camera, it goes in a camera folder. If I pull it off the web or save from a text, they go in a download folder. These seem to be my only options and my pics are a jumbled mess. I've read my book, played with my phone, been to multiple Sprint stores, and searched these forums to no avail. No one seems to know or care. Is there any way I can create new folders and move pics from one to the other?

Mar 30, 2013Yesterday Instant upload album on my N4 got split into 100+ new albums and now all the photos taken on the same day are in a separate album with the date as the album name. This makes viewing photos on the phone useless since I now need to go through 100+ albums to find a photo.
On the G+ photo page everything looks good (ie no 100+ albums) but once I go to PicasaWeb the same problem is there as on my phone (Instant upload album got split up into 100+ albums)
General :: Gallery App With Albums And Subalbums / Subfolders
Jun 8, 2013After a 3 year stint with Windows Phone I've come back to Android with the purchase of a Galaxy S4, however the transition back hasn't been entirely smooth.
how android organizes the photo gallery. Doesn't matter the app, they all seem to organize in a similar way - find all folders with photos in it, list every folder as a separate album. That's great, but I don't want that.
On my Lumia 920 I had my photos organized like this.And on the device, they show up like this:I have folders with only subfolders as content. And they retain this organization in the photo viewer. I cannot find a single app that does this. I've tried Scalado, QuickPic, Just Pictures, Android ICS Gallery, Samsung Gallery, Customization Android 3D Gallery - nothing.
Is this just how the media scanner works? Any way to organize into subfolders within a gallery app? Is there any app that allows me to custom define my own setup? I wouldn't mind having to configure a text file to my setup, I just want it organized.
This is how BB, iOS, WP, and almost every other mobile OS organizes photos.The application F-Stop Media Gallery on the android marketplace allows the construction of custom albums. Although you cannot specify covers for the empty albums containing sub-albums, I've found a decent workaround.
With sub-albums looking like this. In order to get some form of album cover, you need images in the folder. However it will take the top 4 images and use those, so if you want a phone for the whole cover you'll need to split it up into 4 quadrants. Or just do 1 image and deal with it being small. Also, albums within other albums don't take on covers for some reason. I contacted the device and he said this was intentional but they were looking to change this in the future.
Albums need to be manually defined, which is a tad irritating but it works alright once you have it set up.
