Is there no option to use the phone's speaker when listening to the radio? I have plugged in the earphones, but I don't know what to do next. I can't find any option to enable the speaker..

It would have been taken back already if the store wasn't in such a remote place!
Phone will either hang at the LG splash screen requiring a battery pull or if it does manage to boot in it will freeze up after a few minutes use.
Occasionaly getting error messages, google. something and android.exe I think aswell.
Is it possible that the android installation is corrupt and is there a way to manually reinstall it ?
I've tried a factory reset and also managed to keep the phone running long enough to update the firmware via the LG update tool.... No joy with either!
Got a GW620 yesterday, 20 PCM on T-Mobile with all you can eat data. It was a choice between this and the HTC and as the 620 has a keyboard it wins (for me). so got a free 8gb SD HC card, which the phone sees and saves photos etc to. but if I connect the phone via USB to my laptop (Dell Mini 10, XP SP3) it sees the memory card but wont let me access it (says please insert disk). Thats if I have it in mass storage mode. If I turn mass storage off the PC doesnt see the card at all.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm sure the engineers who build these phones are quite brilliant individuals, and certainly, at least one of them has figured out by now that, "Hey, if we put the speaker on the back of the phone, the sound is going to be muffled when the phone rings!"So I'm just curious if there is some logistical/technical reason why this is done? I figure it would be much better design-wise to put the speaker on the front, or maybe even on the bottom. Other than not being able to see the screen in direct sunlight, this is the only real gripe I have about the phone thus far.Also, do you guys lay the phone face down when not using it, assuming you'd otherwise sleep right through the phone ringing when sitting on its back?
View 35 Replies View RelatedFirst, whenever I make or receive a call the speaker on message appears and my phone calls all are on speaker. I can't seem to fix that, I looked in settings but can't figure out what happened and how to fix.
Secondly, for some reason when I am in a program and hit the "home" icon my Evo no longer opens the home menu and allows me to go to other programs on my home screen. I am forced to hit the back arrow on the phone which is annoying. So if I am browsing like 10 web pages I have to go back to the first page to the first page I opened of the internet , then it allows me to press the "home" icon. very inconvenient...
Please tell me what I did wrong, i don't recall hitting any buttons to change these settings.
The metal bar at the top of the speaker hurts my ear when I talk on my phone. Its mostly when I have to press the phone against my ear like if some talks quietly and the volume is all the way up. I fixed this by putting a case on my phone but I have an extended battery and door on the way so I won't be able to use my case anymore. My question is does this bother anyone else and is there any way I can fix this?

I maybe have a combined usage of 2 hours talk time. goto Best Buy "it's a manufacturer defect, we'd have to send it in" die in a fire guy. goto Sprint, pay 35$ to fix it. The reciept shows they only replaced the speaker(s). Both work fine now so I'm all 'wooooo', however, closer inspection, the camera glass isn't cracked like it used to be, andi had a crack in the shell on the bottom left next to the home button, it's gone. Pull off batt cover and its spotless underneath it. Should I assume i have a new/refurb phone and not my old phone with new speakers? I don't mind, phone looks MINT, also, my kickstand isn't squeaky anymore, ha.

I have tried: AudioManager audio Manager = (AudioManager) mActivity.getSystemService(Context.AUDIO_SERVICE); audio Manager.setSpeakerphoneOn(true); but that does not work. Anything over two notches from muted gives me a wierd vibrating noise when the other end is talking semi high pitched and consistently. It sounds almost robotic or like paper. I didnt know if this was just my phone, the majority, or all epics suffer from this problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a car stereo with bluetooth.I don't want to start a debate about sound quality of the music through Bluetooth.What I would like to know is if anyone has figured out how to get the music to go through the bluetooth speaker WHILE having the navigation go through the phone speaker.For me that is the optimal situation and would hopefully not have the Navigation interrupt the music instead allow them to both be going on at once.
