Rolling back to Velocity .2 after using .3 and apps to sd. Have had stabilty issues and just need to know if the partion needs to be removed from my car before flashing back to .2

I have installed the cyanogen mod in my desire Z but the market is not working.
(1) the market was not present in the first place, so i had to download and install it...but google play is not working, whenever i select google play, it comes back to the home screen.
(2) i have'nt kept any nandroid backup, and i've made the permanent root on the phone with with mod.
(3) now i want to revert back to the stock rom, but i cam unable to do so....how to roll back to the sock rom.
(4) i have tried to flash the roms from this thread [URL] ... ... trired both the methods. but didnt work!
I desperately need a solution for either (or both) of these:
(1) a way to make google play & android market work
(2) to roll back to the stock rom ( link to a desire z stock rom and instructions on how to do it! )
so, is there a way to get my phone back o the way it was? (normal 2.2 /2.3 stock)

New Evo owner here. (almost a full 24 hours old) I am coming from an iPhone, so I am still learning. I have lurked here for months, downloaded the User's Manual a month or so ago, and am still trying to learn all I can. All I can say is, in this little bit of time, I love this phone so much more than my old paper weight. But I don't want to get into that, and make another one of those threads. Earlier today I received a photo text from a friend, and when I went to view the text it was in a "bubble-like" format. I sort of liked it more than the standard format. I also noticed you could change the background colors, etc. But, being the newb I am, I pressed another option and it went away. I am lost as to how to get back to that set-up and look around at that format. Can anyone help me out with this? I would truly appreciate it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I'm reading things right, the accelerometer measures physical forces (i.e. movement) and the orientation sensor gives the tilt of the handset. If you are coding a rolling ball type app which would you use? You could argue accelerometer, in which case you measure each delta force and apply it to your balls physics. Or just the orientation and compute the effects of gravity again on the ball but just using different physics. Is there a preference? Would any be more accurate than the other?

Can I put velocity on with the kernel I have now or do I have to change it to one from the velocity post? and if I do have to change it, do I change it before or after changing the rom to velocity?

I assumed it would be as simple as to "flash" recovery from within ROM manager, and it would switch back, but apparently I was wrong since I can't seem to get it to reboot into clockworkmod's recovery interface.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOkay so I had a problem with an app, it would never download and stay at the installing progress bar for days. I looked up the solution online and they told me to go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Market>Uninstall Updates. I did that and now I have the old version on the Market, so I don't have automatic updating and there is no "Update All" button, so I can't do that either. I tried rebooting my phone, no luck. Unrooting and rebooting, still no luck. How can I update back to the newest version?

Also, anything I do on my phone doesn't translate to my account online. When I sign in from my laptop, all the messages I deleted from my phone are back. Does anyone have any advice to help fix this?

My LG Ally is stuck at the "VELOCITY" boot screen and is stuck in a loop. I had Velocity 0.3 flashed yesterday and I decided to re-flash today. I have tried wiping data/files/cache/dalvik cache. I'm stuck and I don't know what to do. Also I never did a Nandroid backup (because I'm slow).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI figured out how to full flash the LG Ally 740 to cricket but 3 out of every 5 phones I flash do not save the NV settings. When I go to manual programming (##program740 send) then select DATA. The MIP & DUN MIP settings always revert back to the default 0000000000@vzw3g.com settings. I've changed them in LGNPST,CDMA Workshop & QPST but still reverts back to VZW. It's rooted and tried several different ROM's to fix the problem. Could it be the kernel? If anyone can help, please let me know.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBefore applying the Turbo4 ROM, I ran Linpack to get a base number so I can compare it with the number I get after I apply Turbo4. I got a 4.188. The phone is rooted with many of the stock apps removed running the Zeam Launcher, but no other custom ROMS.
Is that a pretty good number to start with? It was higher than I was expecting because most linpack scores i've read about are in the 3's.
