HTC Droid Eris : Way To Delete Out Any Scenes Saved On Phone?
Mar 5, 2010First post here. Been reading for a few weeks and just got my Eris on Sunday. I tried a search for the answer to this question, but came up empty. It probably has been answered before and I just can't find it. Does anyone know the correct way to delete out any scenes that you have saved on the phone? I got over anxious right away with it and ended up having 4 saved scenes on top of the 6 from HTC that are already there. I would like to have just 2 extra ones total and be able to delete out 2 of them. That would give me basically the 6 HTC scenes and then a USer1 and USer 2 type of thing.

Aug 16, 2010Just as the title says...Does anyone know how you rename a video that you shot with your phone? The stock media player for the Incredible $ucks number one because it only brings up an image of the video and has no other identifying feature such as a name for the video and number two I downloaded a third party app that has a better video player that does allow an image of the video and also a name of it but how do I go about renaming videos that I have taken. I tried on the computer and every time I selet a video to rename it, it tells me that renaming the video may make it unusable or something which obviously will defeat the purpose of making the video in the first place.

Nov 23, 2010Is there an app or camera widget that will set my taken photo names to include the date or my name or something similar?
It's tough to make sure I'm not overwriting previous photos when I copy them to my PC, and then my wife does the same with her Dinc and things are starting to get complicated. At the moment I am using a fudged solution with a DOS batch file but there has to be a much simpler way.

Sep 28, 2010I thought some of you might find this useful.Making A Backup of Your Sense Scenes with Titanium Backup.Taken from Titanium CAN Restore Layouts - Sense "Scenes" - xda-developers and an entry by joel.bourquard:You can backup the Sense "Scenes" by filtering for System items (MENU -> Filters) and then selecting the item named "[DESKTOP] HTC Sense 1.00".Note that after restoring such system items, a reboot is needed for the changes to take effect.In Titanium Backup, about 99% of the phone's useful data is included in the list of items. You just need to pick the right ones.Usually you use Batch mode to backup all the *user* apps, and then you backup most green *system* items one by one.
For restoring you don't need to do it one by one: just open MENU->Batch, scroll a bit and use "Restore missing apps + all system data". That should pretty much do it in 1 click - or a few more clicks if you don't have the Donate version.
HTC Incredible : Can Set Scenes To Automatically Switch Depending On Time Of Day?
Apr 21, 2010Can you set the scenes to automatically switch depending on time of day on the phone? I'd definitely use them if at 8am Mon-Fri the scene switched to Work. At 6pm Mon-Thur it would be nice for it to switch to the default home screen. 6pm Fri I'd like it to switch to the Play scene. Is this a capability or do you have to change them manually via menu system?

Oct 14, 2010I have written a program that uses the Intent for the image capture to get a photo using the application in the phone.
Using MediaStore.EXTRA_OUTPUT, I get a URI to the image, wich converted to a path results in something like "/external/images/media/NN" where NN is the number of the photo.
Now, in my program, after I read and manipulated the image, I want to delete that image.
How should I do that ?
(File image = new File(path); image.delete(); // returns false, so doesn't work)
