View 2 RepliesI currently have 3059 songs on my iTunes, and only 3046 of it was uploaded meaning that only 13 songs weren't uploaded.
View 9 Replies View Relatedjust trying out Google Play Music today. I'm confused though as I have around 10000 music files sitting in a folder on Google drive. I can't see an option to ask Google Play Music to look into Google Drive and upload the music from there. I have connected my Google play music app on my nexus 7 to my Google account' but nothing seems to happen. Surely Google is able to connect two parts of its cloud together and I don't have to re upload everything?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to upload just 1 or 2 songs to the Google Music app? Also I am debating to whether or not to just delete everything on my Google Play list and then just reupload my whole iTunes Library so it mimicks that?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to upload my music to Google Music, and I ran into an issue yesterday when I saw that it stopped uploading. I had it running for about a week and I have roughly 3700 songs on my computer (in iTunes). It stopped at around 2400 songs and won't add anymore, and I'm not entirely sure why. Of those 3700 songs, only about 300 were purchased from iTunes, the rest are CDs or songs that I permanenly borrowed during the Napster days. I double checked the songs that are missing, and there really isn't too much rhyme or reason as to why they're not there.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have music that is playable with Google Play Music player, but not with other players. I have chosen for the music to be "on the device", and it plays when even in Airplane Mode, so I know it is not streaming, but the music files do not show up in my "Music" directory tree, or under any other file trees that I can find. I have used ES File Explorer to do a top down search for some of the missing titles, but it doesn't find them. I'm perplexed. There must be a cache somewhere, but I can't find it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI love to use google music on my N5, but the default view is always a mess... Is there a way to change the view to my library - artist by default???
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure I get Google and the Android strategy regarding music. Android has largely removed support for SD cards. Most phone makers are no longer including SD cards. It would appear that for large music libraries, Google wants us to use the cloud, yet....... I can't do a simple voice command to play music stored in the cloud rather than on the device. The results come back with "no results found". The only time it finds the music is when it is actually on the device.
So, I can either constantly have to manually manage a play list (since 32gig is not nearly enough space) or not use voice commands. I don't get it.
So, I switched over to android from an iphone when the S5 came out - partially because I loath apple, partially because it seemed like(and is) an awesome phone.
However, I'm having one minor issue with it, and that's music management. Currently I'm just using the google play app, but my issue with THAT is I'd prefer to keep all my music ON the device so that I don't use data just to listen to music(Yes, it does cache it, but still). I've been putting my favorite albums as "keep on device", but the biggest issue is I have a LOT of music, and I don't want to have to go through every album and click the pin.
So,is there a way to make it so the play app uses "store on device" as the default? are there any other programs/apps to manage music on android similar to itunes?
So I cancelled my all access trial, I don't find it useful to me, even though I cancelled it, I'm still seeing radios, and other all access features. Will it disappear from my Google Play Music after it's supposed to expire (06-07-2014)? My account type still lists as All Access...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC One running Android 4.1.2 and I want to listen to Google Play over my Yamaha DLNA receiver.
I've already tried some apps, and BubbleUPnP promises to have this feature, but it just won't play songs from the cloud.
Is there any chance to install a system-wide service that routes all the sounds of the device to the DLNA receiver? On an iPhone that works via AirPlay, there must be something like that for Android too, right?
I have a month old galaxy s4 and I can't get it to stop synching my pictures. I have it turned off through the g+ app but every time I take a new picture it goes the the "photos" app.

I know that u can get stock Android through rooting and downloading the file. But I'm asking if it's ever possible to receive OTA update straight from Google without being altered by HTC and the service provider.

I have a Nexus 4 with a considerable amount of "pinned" music in the Play Music app taking up storage space. This pinning seems to have taken on a life of its own, and I'm finding that the app is permanently storing music locally that I never wanted downloaded.
So my question is this: what's the best way to completely clear everything that's been "pinned" so far, and start over? I knew how to unpin music in the app before the recent design refresh, but now I'm not seeing it anywhere. Is there a way to just unpin everything through the app? Or can I use a file manager or connect the device to a PC and just delete the music files?
I use Google Play Music. Over time, I've chosen certain albums to store locally ('pin') from music.google.com on my Android 2.4 phone. Now I wish to clear these out from the phone in the name of space and begin anew.
Without an apparent way to do this on the phone (?), I connected the device to a computer and wiped out the Android music directory's files manually.
Then, when I returned to my phone's Play Music app and attempted to choose new music to pin to the device, Android is re-downloading *all* of the music I had previously chosen to store locally, completely defeating the purpose of this pursuit.
Is there a way to start fresh on the phone without deleting music from URL....? I simply want to download a select few albums to a device from my Play Music account, not everything I have ever selected to pin since my history with the service.
Upload the music apk, from Android cupcake 1. 5 ?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have several Android devices, all using the same Google Account.
I have recently purchased a new Android phone, however when I set it up, I don't want it to download and install all the apps that are associated with my Google account (like it did automatically on my tablet).
I'd like to be more selective, and control which apps install on my phone.
I'd like the current apps installed on my tablet (and old phone) to remain as they are, and still automatically update.
How can I do this?
I've been uploading music to my phone by copying and pasting entire folders via mass storage, but I am curious to know if there is a preferred way to do this. Especially if I want to create playlists *on my computer*, then have those playlists show up in my phone with the songs in the same order as they were organized on my computer.

my Galaxy S4. My service is through Sprint and all apps and system updates are done. While I understand the latest system update has a lot of problems, the one issue I have had has been going on for quite some time. My music player autostarts. The player I am referring to is the 'MUSIC' app (the one where the icon looks like a blue circle and has a green musical note on it.) The trigger seems to be when I get calls from a blocked number. My company's outgoing calls are automatically blocked so each time I get a call from a coworker my phone launches into whatever song I last played instead of ringing. It doesn't matter if the phone was muted - the volume is on so everyone gets to hear the latest tune. Along with the unexpected musical interlude, I don't get any indication of the incoming call.
