I've been uploading music to my phone by copying and pasting entire folders via mass storage, but I am curious to know if there is a preferred way to do this. Especially if I want to create playlists *on my computer*, then have those playlists show up in my phone with the songs in the same order as they were organized on my computer.

I've been trying to find a way to upload a video from an Android device to an API, but I haven't found a good way to do it. It seems most of the information I've found online is fairly out of date (a lot of it being from last year). I have copied music files to my phone SD card, all the songs from the playlist and when look at artist, or other views it see that these are on device, but when go to the playlist it does not, also if I remove a song from the playlist from the web it still shows on device.
I don't want to download songs to device from the play cloud, like to move them over from PC. also do not want to stream from the cloud all the time, I listen to music too much to use that much data.
I want to just use the native play music app from google, but the on device functions are not up to par and end up using apps like power amp etc.
I'm having an issue on my i9300.
I keep songs from Google Play on my device so I can listen offline.
But whenever it "keeps requested music" it seems like its redownloading the entire playlist over again, not just songs I just added to the playlist. It's like it deleted the playlist I had, and is redownloading it again.
Google Music. My only caveat is making a playlist available offline temporarily, and then deleting it once I'm done.
It makes sense for the subway, etc.
I'll load up a new album, and I normally listen to the album as a whole and then get rid of it to free up space (and to decide which songs make it to my main playlist).
I'm using a HTC One X, so 16gb is a bit limiting and I can't have it full of music.
Is there any free music player app right now that can do that? I have tried all sort of music players such as google music, winamp, etc but all players requires me to manually press and hold each mp3 file to add to a playlist. Is there any app that allows us to choose all the files we want and subsequently add to playlist??

View 13 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to upload my music to Google Music, and I ran into an issue yesterday when I saw that it stopped uploading. I had it running for about a week and I have roughly 3700 songs on my computer (in iTunes). It stopped at around 2400 songs and won't add anymore, and I'm not entirely sure why. Of those 3700 songs, only about 300 were purchased from iTunes, the rest are CDs or songs that I permanenly borrowed during the Napster days. I double checked the songs that are missing, and there really isn't too much rhyme or reason as to why they're not there.

I made several playlists today but now would like to move some songs to another playlist and delete them from the original playlist. However there is no way to do this. The only option I found was to delete the song from the library all together! Any apps you all recommend that might be better to use for my music?

This is my first Android phone. Coming from the iPhone 3Gs, I am expecting a lot. So far this phone is great, it has some bugs on it but I am willing to work with it. One of the best thing about the iPhone was that it was an ipod, a really great music player. Since I am new to Android, I am still learning how to use it.
I am using DoubleTwist to sync my music to the phone. I was able to import all my info from Itunes over to DT, but the problem was syncing it to the phone. I am not able to sync my playlist to the phone. I am able to sync the music itself but when I try to play it on my phone it is a mess. Is it possible to get my playlist to sync with this phone?
So what I'd like to do on one of my corner screens is have 4 music widgets, each one set to a different playlist. is this possible? I am rooted and using Suave Smash, but I'm willing to DL a different music program if I need to. The playlists are already created and accessible in the music app, I would just like them in a widget on the screen.

The problem is the stock music player on the Captivate doesn't recognize playlist (m3u) files. DoubleTwist works well with playlists but it doesn't have lockscreen controls. Kies doesn't sync playlists. You can make a playlist on Kies but when you try to sync to the phone it just copies the music files over without the playlists. I either need a way to import playlists to the stock music player or find a music player that has lockscreen controls (preferably free).

But when i disconnected the phone from my computer the playlists were still present. I believe that playlists aren't stored on the sdcard. Can someone help me to delete these playlists. I can connect to the shares via Estrongs and view the pictures, as well as play music. However, so far I can only play 1 song at a time. 1) The stock Music Player will not recognize my imported playlists. Every other player I've installed sees them just fine. I don't know what I'm doing wrong with the stock player (I sync with Songbird).
2) Unfortunately, all of the other music players I've tried will play choppy for the first few seconds of every song (TuneWiki, Meridian, MixZing, doubleTwist). The stock player does not have this problem for me.
MixZing: Pro Lock Screen widget, recognizes my playlists. Con Plays choppy Stock Player: Pro Lock Screen widget, plays perfect. Con Doesn't recognize playlists.Anyone who can help solve the Con on either MixZing or the stock player?

I've been using iSyncr for a few months now and overall it's pretty good. I was using it with Rocket Player, but didn't care for that player much, so I am just using the google music app for now.
The problem: All playlists sync, except for the most recent. So if I have playlists 1-5, with 5 being what I just created in iTunes and sync'd, play music will only show 1-4. Whenever I move on and create #6, then #5 will show up but 6 will be missing.. and so on.
I need to either figure out why, or find an alternative music player that doesn't have this problem and works with the iSyncr process/playlists. Rocket Player did not, but had some other things that I didn't like.
Let me start by saying I love Android and have had it before, and I never jumped on the iphone band wagon, but now I feel like I may have to for only 2 reasons. I can not find an easier solution for my music. I usually download from limewire and everything falls under itunes, well after getting the capitvate yesterday It took me over an hour to figure out that I had to go through doubletwist and all this mass storage and mount stuff well after all of that I did get a few songs on my phone, but do I have to go through this EVERY time? or is there an easier way?
Also one more thing, yesterday when I got the phone I set up my facebook and now its gone. I did have status updated right on the front of my phone if I just swiped it over and now its just "daily briefing" and I cant for the life of me find my facebook unless I go to www.facebook.com what is going on? Or am I just too dumb for this phone, cause I'm not a real tech person, I just need a fast brower, music, and camera. Please help before I am forced to jump on the iphone band wagon which I really don't want to do.
My player for x10 mini pro is playing continues until i switch it off. Is there any way that can play the playlist once and it will turn off automatic? Its so, wasted my battery cause after i fall sleep its still playing.

I can't see an option to ask Google Play Music to look into Google Drive and upload the music from there. I have connected my Google play music app on my nexus 7 to my Google account' but nothing seems to happen. Surely Google is able to connect two parts of its cloud together and I don't have to re upload everything?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am on a standard website that has a normal upload button, I need to upload a PDF file, But when I click on the upload button on the web site a popup window from my Android phone appears and says "Choose action" and gives me access to the gallery, camcorder, voice recorder , choose music track, gallery (again), select music track and voice recorder (again).
I need to some how get access to my SD card and my download folder to be able to pick the the pdf file that I need to upload. I have tried this both on the default internet browser and Google Chrome, but both give the same options.

View 9 Replies View RelatedJust bought the new Samsung Galaxy S3 and I'm wondering how best to update it to Jelly Bean. I can do it through Samsung Kies or the phone's UI, but I think it's also possible to download the update and then do it through Recovery Mode.
My question is: is it more stable to update in Recovery Mode? Or is it pretty much the same no matter how you do it?
