I am looking to completely remove anything google from within my os.
a while back I was reading on what files to delete within my filesystem (2.3) what to delete?
I remember one file lost me the marketplace - I am okay with that!
The heartbeat that google sends back and fourth - that file needs to go!

I have OPTIMUS 2x and if I plan to sell it, I want to remove my personal data from it. I know that external SD cards can be formatted with different (repeating format and data overwriting techniques) but my phone has internal 16gb which has some personal data in it. I can format it but the data will still be there? How can I completely remove my data without effecting the system data.
I have a custom rom installed and cwm as well. rooted
In the calendars menu i have 3 calendars on my desire, my calendar, pc sync calendar and a calendar i set up called annie calendar. i know i can deselect the calendars i don't want to use but how can i remove the calendars from the phone completely?

The beta gave my phone a weird glitch where any apps that I installed would instantly force close afted I restarted the phone, but it would work fine if it was uninstalled and reinstalled. I installed the new firmware and now newly installed apps work. And everything I mean every rom's contents, busybox, scripts, etc. I once use one GB rom and it can run NFS Most Wanted very smooth, but after playing with scripts/tweaks too much, it turn out that the game lag more than before. So, I want to completely wipe everything and start over. Does the "Full Wipe" (Wipe data/factory reset+Wipe Cache+Wipe Dalvik cache+Format system+data+cache) do the job? Or maybe there is something more?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an app that when someone downloads it from the Play Store, recognizes the phone and connects to a server (Internet is needed) so every time I open it I have all my data and my "app activity" shown there. So, here's the thing: I want to sell the phone to a friend of mine, but I don't want (neither does he) to reset to factory because he wants a large amount of the apps I have already installed and it is part of the price.
So, I ask you: Is there a way to completely remove-uninstall an app and ALL of its data so that there is no way for the app to have MY data displayed, and basically the app is "reseted' to factory, so that my friend can use from scratch?
recently i installed a v6supercharger on my phone.. but i think it messed up. i think i skipped some of the instructions.
now i want to completely remove everything so that i cant start again. because when i try to install the script again, it only gives error at the end..
l uninstalled Google Search and Google Play store apps, but they were not completely uninstalled and now I can't reinstall them because the store says they are installed. I cannot find them on my android tablet and so I cannot use them. What is a good app to completely uninstall them. Some of these apps will not install on my Lenovo tablet.

Basically I been playing Valkyrie Crusade and I want to start all over. When I install/reinstall the game, it auto logs in with my account. Even when I did factory reset(erase data on SD card also) on my phone, it still auto logs in with my account so I can't create a new account. I factory reset, download game from app store, install app and game still recognize this phone's account.
So yeah, just wondering if there's a way to completely resets it.
I have a Galaxy S4 and I set a google reminder to remind me to buy something when I am near a store. I didn't realize the reminder would go off every single time i pass within half a mile of the store. When it shows up on my phone, I can only click "snooze" or clear it, which will have it pop up again. If I click on the reminder, it just takes me to the default Google Now page that has the search screen and weather, etc. I tried removing it through Google Calendar but a search of my calendar shows up nothing matching it.

I went in yesterday to pay full price for a phone and the rep offered me a new phone for the regular upgrade price. After an hour I walked out with a new Droid DNA and could not be happier.
Yes, I had to give up unlimited data but the most we have ever used is 3.5 GB per month and they gave us 4 along with unlimited minutes and texting which my wife needs. I could not be happier at the moment.
Any way to make the alarm ring even when the phone is completely turned off. I have created a new google account that i would like to replace the original one.I have synced the new account but cant seem to remove the original. I get the following message, This account is required by some applications. You can only remove it by resetting the phone to factory defaults. You do that in settings, under privacy. Is there anyway to do it without resetting the phone? I dont want to reset it as i the phone is rooted, has custom ROM with over 100 apps.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy HTC EVO 4G LTE is having a major problem. When connected to my home modem it will not connect to the internet at all. When I disconnect wifi in the settings the phone will crawl along at Sprint 3G speeds. Laptops, tvs, chromecast and Roku are all working properly from the same modem. I've reset the modem, restarted the phone numerous times, just updated the phone (was happening before and after the update) and still no luck. I've scoured the internet looking for answers but nothing so far.
