How do I completely remove rather than rename unwanted apps? Specifically, what commands have to be entered into the shell? And where can I find a listing of the apps in rom? I am rooted and have some knowledge of adb and the android sdk. here are just a number of the apps I never will use, so I would prefer to free up memory.

can you uninstall road sync from te pulse? i have dropped it in the bin but does not remove it there are some other apps that wont uninstall is there any way to remove unwanted apps?

I also have an app called IM. If i go into the manage application bit and expand each app there is no option to uninstall or remove! how to i get rid of them?

I have installed the rooted 2.1 with out a hitch. I have been looking around to find out how to uninstall a few of the apps (amazon, stocks, tweet) and found people that say to use SDK's ADB or terminal. I understand what the terminal is and the SDK that google offers is but not the ADB. I also understand that there is a chance to brick by removing the wrong things. So I don't want to just make a careless mistake.

I rooted successfully via Odin. downloaded root installer and removed the unwanted apps. Then I started playing around with other apps. But now when I try to use any of them I get "app was denied super user permission" and telling me I need to be rooted. I tried factory reset but that didn't work. In fact, I now can't even use app uninstaller to remove those apps.

The guides have been helpful and clear on getting to this point, but now i am stuck of the multiple roms out there, very few of them actually list what's available. I wanted as few as possible of the stock apps (peep, amazon, footprints, all that garbage gone), overclock, 5-7 screens, and for it to do my taxes, change my timing belt, and book flights for me all at once, but can't seem to find out. Right now i've got home, senseui, and nexus launcher loaded up on here, using senseui cause that's what i am used to. Nexus launcher seems to be well a resource hog that this phone cant handle without overclocking.

How do you delete and completely remove the preinstalled FACEBOOK Application from a HTC Hero Android phone? I just got my Sprint HTC Hero Android phone and I noticed that it comes preloaded with FACEBOOK. While I know that most people would consider that great, I don't. Do to my job, I am prohibited from using FACEBOOK or MYSPACE and therefore, would have absolutly no use for the application. One day I installed a beta firmware for the G2/vision. The beta gave my phone a weird glitch where any apps that I installed would instantly force close afted I restarted the phone, but it would work fine if it was uninstalled and reinstalled. So, here's the thing: I want to sell the phone to a friend of mine, but I don't want (neither does he) to reset to factory because he wants a large amount of the apps I have already installed and it is part of the price.

I want to be able to block specific contacts, unknown number or anonymous numbers and also specific contacts for SMS. I can see I have the option to send a contact direct to voicemail but don't have the same facility for unknown/anonymous callers and nothing to block SMS.
