View 1 RepliesI often run over poor connections. Attachment upload takes time. (I use Hotmail) I am often not sure if the upload is continuing ok and if it is worth waiting for.
In Chrome Webmail (Hotmail) I can see attachment upload progress. But using the web demands more bandwidth.
Is there a mail app for Hotmail that monitors this progress. How is "sending in the outbox" coming along?
I just noticed this morning that my picasaweb upload button is missing in my camera/gallery app.
There used to be a button in the upper-right corner (right next to the share button that allows you to select gmail, IM, etc) that would allow me to upload the photo to a selected album (or create a new album) in picasaweb. I'm not sure when this disappeared, but I noticed today that it is no longer there. I installed an OS update a day or two ago, so it may have been then. Now I see the share button, and a gmail button, and that's it. If I select the drop down menu from the share button, there is no picasaweb option there.
I can see all of my picasaweb albums on my phone, and am synced with google photo in my settings, but the upload button is gone.
I have galaxy s4 mini (GT19195 , 4.2.2).
the problem is that i can't upload/download anything through all the applications that i install (WhatsApp,Facebook,foursquare...). Everytime that i try to upolad or download an item it always fail.
i noticed that the folders by Default created with those applications are not there from the beginning so i tried to create them manually but it didn't work.
i removed the external sd card so that i can install the applications directly in the internal sd card but no thing changed.
Maybe if i root my phone it will work but it doesn't resolve the situation.
one important thing that i notice is that the application installed with the system (not the new ones) like gmail give me the possibility to upload/download without a problem.
i tried to move the new applications to the folder /system/app in order to be executed the same way as the system applications but no change.
I have a 2013 Nexus 7 with 4.3 installed but my apps won't update automatically. I have sync on as well. Do they update at certain times of the day or are they supposed to update as new updates become available?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just have a small question. Currently i'm using JB on mij HTC One X. I have Google Now activated and also my auto sync enabled.
But do i NEED to keep my auto sync enabled for Google Now or should it also work if I turn it off?
It do saves me alot of battery in the case I don't have to.
the phone automatically disables the Wi-Fi connection and switches over to data which she chews through really rather quickly.
I've got no problem with her downloading the universe when connected to my ADSL but preferably not through cellular data.
How I can go about disabling this "auto-disabling" of the Wi-Fi connection when it detects that it is slow? I couldn't find the option but I also find the S4's settings a tad disorganised.
I don't have this happening on my phone (BB10) so I wasn't expecting this to happen and she doesn't check the symbol at the top to see whether it's on Wi-Fi or not.
It is a Samsung Galaxy S4 running 4.3.1
Managing Galaxy Note I & IIs running Android 4.1.2 and would like to direct network/browser traffic to a URL filtering service through a proxy server. Can confirm or deny (with supporting reference material) that Jelly Bean (specifically Android v4.1.2) has support for PAC files to configure proxy settings? The browsers I want to redirect to the proxy are Internet V4.1.2 (default with version 4.1.2 Android OS) and Chrome V 25.0.1364.169. Pointers to how to set proxies for those specific browser releases is also welcome.
If PAC file support does exist where does the PAC file need to be installed? How is it typically installed? Any documentation that reviews the PAC file support.
How do I delete the pictures that are marked auto backup in gallery and photo ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to disable the auto screen locking function when I close my cover?
I bought a couple of cheap case covers from China and as far as I understand they might not have the right material which causes the IR to be reflected instead of being absorbed.
I don't mind it locking really, aside from maybe a bigger battery consumage, since I often hear it locking itself while in my pocket.
No, my main problem is, with some of the covers, if I flip the front cover side to the back so I can hold the phone easily, it locks.
For example, the 2 I have on me, the leather one locks if I flip it over, the plastic one doesn't.
Really I'd like to disable the function alltogether, I prefer locking it myself together with the trusty 30s idle lock.

Is there a way to configure the Google Play Store or a third party App which will automatically update ALL of my apps without having to apply the updates manually on the Google Play app? I'm on the DROID RAZR MAXX with Jellybean 4.1.2. My phone is REALLY slow when updating and I keep having to touch the screen or it halts (I think) the updates.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy phone & Asus TF700 Tablet. I'm looking for a task app that will communicate with Google Now. I use Google Now a lot especially since it brings up my appointments. It works great.
I currently use GTasks and it works well. I've looked into Wunderlist, RTM, Any.Do and a host of others.
I found out that google+ is using 40-60% of my battery even though its disabled. Did I miss a setting or am I doing anything wrong? Running a rooted lg g2 with stock ROM. Here are some pictures of my google+ settings and battery app. google+ - Imgur
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently got a new HTC One and love it.
But I'm having problems finding the music history on Google Now.
Like when I ask Google what song is this, it tells me...but where can I see all the songs I have asked for?
I haven't seen anything about the privacy implication for me as the recipient of the picture.I do not have a Google+ account. I have sync turned off for contacts because I think that Google has proven themselves too untrustworthy to have that information.
The only way I can see that the pictures get into my contacts is that on each incoming call the phone app takes the phone number in the incoming caller ID and queries Google to see if a picture is available. In the process, this gives Google a complete list of everyone calling me, an unacceptable privacy violation as far as I'm concerned.
Is there a way to disable it so that my incoming calls are not leaked to Google?
I am in another country temporarily and I can only see Spanish books.
My wallet has a UK card and I added addresses, deleted cache, nothing works. How can I fix this?
get a pop up in Hangouts asking me to confirm my phone number through SMS text like 5 times in the last 2 weeks. I press confirm my number and then receive a text message in hangouts saying my phone number has been confirmed. Could hangouts with MMS/SMS be coming with KitKat?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a G2 running stock 4.2.2, I have had intermittent problems with Google Services eating up battery. Until a couple of weeks ago turning of network location seemed to fix the issue but now even with network location turned off Google Services are constantly shown as eating 40-50% battery in the general settings. I have not changed any settings or installed any new apps.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDevice Description : Nexus 4, Maps v 7.4.0, With some difficulty I figured out how to cache a map offline. But the trouble is, how do I retrieve it (when no internet connectivity)?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI get a message saying "Google Maps does not have permission to use your location". I try and follow the directions under "help". No luck.
HTC location information is turned on as is Google location information. I have had the phone for a few months but never used anything requiring location (my cars have navigation, I don't really need it on my phone).
Phone is HTC One, the phones OS and all the Google software has been updated. The location on the start screen has never been accurate (I leave my home in town X, arrive in city Y, phone still shows town X as my location until some period of time elapses. This is generally a non issue, because I know where I am) .
I find the Google voice search widget (the bar with a mic at the end) pretty useful, however, I can't seem to have it on two different languages at the same time, cause I usually search things in English and Spanish. Is it possible? Or is it limited to just one language at a time?

I find answers to change work location in Google Now,but i can't find how to remove it. I am Now self employed so i don't have a fix work place anymore. How to remove it ?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo the recent update for Google Now introduced the new feature that gives you cards when a "website" updates, much like RSS. Trouble is, I can't find where to activate this, change settings, or specify what websites to watch etc, I can only find news reports of such a feature. Or is this only for 4.4 KK?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to use Google Now in English, without changing the phone language?
I know it works with other languages, but then it gives only search results and it doesn't 'talk back' like in English...
Also will Google Now support other languages to 'talk back' in the future?
has "Google Speech Recogniser" built in so vocal commands are completely offline. Is it due to an apk in this new s.o.?
Can we port that apk in 4.0.3. ?
I hate s-voice beacause my internet connection is not so good... and so it calls wrong people or simply it doesn't work... so I must use Cyberon. But if s-voice could be offline... maybe it would be better...
