Is there a way to configure the Google Play Store or a third party App which will automatically update ALL of my apps without having to apply the updates manually on the Google Play app? I'm on the DROID RAZR MAXX with Jellybean 4.1.2. My phone is REALLY slow when updating and I keep having to touch the screen or it halts (I think) the updates.

I have a 2013 Nexus 7 with 4.3 installed but my apps won't update automatically. I have sync on as well. Do they update at certain times of the day or are they supposed to update as new updates become available?

I deleted Handcent and when I went to enable the default texting app, instead of showing a button that said 'Enable' it just showed an unclickable 'Disable' button. How can I re-enable the app? View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried to force ics update to my phone and it is stuck on the big Motorola M screen. ive tried to flash the update just like you would a rom and it didn't work. it was my only option cause the guide i was following was for a pc and I own a mac so the utility provided wouldn't open on my computer. after it didn't work i tried a factory reset but that hasn't done anything. what can i do? the sd card wont mount on my comp so i cant put anything on that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm at the end of the day now and I'm going to list my battery usage on here. The battery life is definitely better then my old android but I know people getting over 15 hours so called 'heavy usage' If theres anything you see that I can turn off or lessen the usage of something. I feel like I'm either unaware of something running the background that's sucking up battery life like the music player or maybe possibly not getting full potential. I've already done a factory reset and added apps back in slowly but still same kind of battery life. I've turned off date connection and turn on wifi when I'm home and it hardly improves, also use smart actions. I'll accept the fact that I'm expecting too much. But I'm just curious about what other Maxx users are getting?
View 9 Replies View Relatedmy Droid RAZR MAXX (4.1.2, not rooted) .So basically, whenever I have a notification in the notification bar (be it from the SMS app, WhatsApp, etc.) and I go to slide it down, the bar at the top disappears and then the background (the apps and widgets remain in place) goes to black for a few seconds then returns to the normal background repeatedly for several minutes. This keeps happening until finally the notification bar returns and the background returns to normal. While all of this happens, I cannot open any app. Upon selecting an app, it simply crashes right away. Doesn't matter which app it is. They all crash.
I should note that the exact same thing happens when I long-press the home button to bring up the running apps.
There have only been a few occasions where everything worked properly in the past few days. That is, I long-pressed the home button or dragged down the notification bar without any issues. I am not eligibile for a new phone upgrade until March 2014 so I am kind of stuck with this phone for now.
Can the RAZR MAXX be used as a wifi base station for a wifi bridge/repeater (NOROOT) - not tethering. i'd like to extend my lan network over my droid. I get full 4G in my house 20-25Mbps average, and i don't need cable internet. I have been using usb/wifi tethering for months and would rather use my Netgear B/G/N router's bridging function to connect all of my devices rather than the radio on my droid.

I have a droid razr maxx that is rooted and when i was messing around with stuff i seem to have messed up something with my texting app and it was gone. I found the app .apk in my system/app folder but when attempting to install it i got a "app not installed". Frustrated with it i decided to just factory restore and just start everything fresh. Did a factory restore and my texting app is still not there and i still cant install it.

How do I switch the phone over to my new Google account so I can delete the old one? I want to keep the same email notifications with the new account as well.
I usually charge my phone over night and I have never had any problems. Last night my phone didn't charge and I woke up to a 15% charge. I figured that I must have knocked the charger out of the outlet, so I just took it to work with me to let it charge today. It's been charging for almost an hour and there is still no change in the charge (now it's at 10%). When I go under settings and look at battery use, I see that I have "1d 0h 18m 22s on battery." I don't know if my phone is just incorrectly reading my battery or something.

Recently I did a bunch of updates and started using google now. My phone performance has been significantly degraded as a result.
My most pressing issue is that after taking a photo, when I go to view it, it shows as normal brightness for 1 second and then gets very dark. This happens for every image as I scroll through them individually. It appears that I now have some sort of editing option or maybe google photos or picassa has hijacked my viewer. When I click on the gallery app this dimming issue does no occur. I am unable to view photos from the camera after taking them.
I use the Verizon stock email app that came with my Moto Droid Razr Maxx, upgraded to ICS. Emails are synched with both my laptop and my Droid RM. Today emails stopped being received by my phone although the computer still receives them.
I have changed no settings. I can send emails from my phone just fine. How do I fix this? I want to be sure I lose nothing from my inbox or outbox on the phone.
When I first got my tablet it synced all my apps that I have on my phone onto my tablet. All me emails sync up but how do I get it to sync all the new apps again? It's annoying to have to put calendar appointments in both my phone and tablet. Same as every app I download on my phone. I seem to be doing double duty constantly. It did it once but never again.

got a new Maxx HD today. but haven't logged into my google account yet. Wanted to get ppl's opinion on using google to backup app data and auto restore it from my X2. I am thinking of disabling this as I want the "cleanest" install possible.
also, is there a way to prevent the phone from auto installing the apps that were on my X2. my bro went from a nexus to the razr maxx today as well and all his apps suto downloaded and installed. if there is no way to prevent this, then i guess i will uninstall the apps i dont want going to the new phone from my x2 first.
So one of the cool things about Froyo is being able to check off Enable Automatic Update for market apps. So i have that checked off for like 80+% of my 80+ apps (that took a while to do let me tell you). Now i have had three apps have updates available since i checked off the box, yet they never actually automatically updated. I waited, hours, still never updated. Is there a setting i need to modify? Do i need to tell it what time of day to do it? Anyone else noticing this? I only really want it in apps that i don't care about reading the new features. But it is annoying that i have it enabled and it does nothing.

I see in research people talk about Wifi Tether and FoxFi. There is also a Bluetooth option I have read about.
The complaint is the upgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.2 caused the Bluetooth method to fail with no fix. Claims said it still works with 4.1.2.
The problems seemed to be related to cross versioning of the phone and tablet.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a razr maxx hd. How do I set my default email address to an existing gmail account. When I try to sign into that existing email account via the gmail app on the razr, all I get is a response, "The username or password you entered is incorrect".
Please note: I put another gmail address when I first got the phone.
Do I have to clear out the origional google account and or the gmail address to put the new gmail address in?
I rooted my phone with success and installed safestrap. But I goofed up and flashed a rom Specific to Verizon and the XT912. Safestrap made a copy of the stock rom, but when it is loaded the boot loader screen is distorted and resembles the image of the custom rom boot loader screen. What can I do?
