View 2 Replies View RelatedIm just asking why is my messaging app lagging like hell when my messages exceeds to like 150+ messages, I mean its kinda awkward since this phone has a quadcore processor and a 512ram. Is this some glitch on the os or just the dual sim or dual text to sim 1 or sim 2 making it lag so bad?
View 5 Replies View RelatedAny app ideas on a pop up/quick reply option for someone using hangouts as default messaging app, until they add hopefully add one in?
Currently trying sms pop up notifier, but with it I get 2 copies of every sms.

A while ago I disabled the stock texting app to use Handcent, but I just decided to change back. I deleted Handcent and when I went to enable the default texting app, instead of showing a button that said 'Enable' it just showed an unclickable 'Disable' button. How can I re-enable the app? I use a Droid RAZR running Jelly Bean.
View 6 Replies View Related I'm on a Samsung G3 and just updated to 4.3. Enjoying it for the most part but the new lock screen is giving me some trouble. I preferred the one from 4.1 but I'm trying to adapt. Downloaded DashClock and added weather, email, and SMS extensions but I keep getting the stock Messaging widget popping up when I get a message (see image). I do want my phone to vibrate and the screen to turn on when I get a message, I just don't want to deal with the extra widgets.
DashClock is my default widget (got rid of the standard one and dragged DashClock to the right). Is there a way to disable all these extra widgets?
By the way, I did try disabling multiple widgets in the settings after setting DashClock to be my default and it kicked DashClock out and reverted back to the stock lock screen.
I recently added an exchange account which I then removed. Now my only lock screen security option is "password". I'd like to use pattern lock again.
I don't have any device administrators nor any exchange accounts anymore.
Is there any way to restore the settings to what they once were?
I find myself hitting call way to often when texting, is there a way to remove this icon/choice from messaging?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Pantech Flex P8010. I was rooted on ICS 4.0.4 and then I installed Jelly Bean Update by restoring rooted backup of Jelly Bean 4.1.2 uploaded by Zapper_Master.
After Jelly Bean I got smooth working phone. But, as other I had same issue of Wifi not working and automatic 2x Reboots after atleast gap of 6-7 hours. (I was knowing it before I installed update as others who updated by restoring zip also faced same issue. But, It was ok for me as I like Jelly Bean the most.)
But, there was way to enable native wifi tethering on this lovely phone on ICS. [URL] ......
And I followed same steps (After Installing SQLite Editor, I just backed up database & changed value from settings.db secure table on actual database.)
Line 1. softap_free_supported
Line 2. softap_entitlement_interval
Change Line 1′s value to 1 in the SQL editor. Change Line 2′s value to 0 in the SQL editor save and close or just close depending on the editor.
SUPPER IMPORTANT if the file permissions on settings.db are not rw-rw-rw make them so in your file explorer.
There was a risk of bricking phone as there is no recovery available for Jelly Bean.
I just wanted to let others know that above method also works on Jelly Bean. But, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! I will not be responsible if anything goes wrong & you brick your lovely flex.
First is the video playback. I've went to a few websites like bleacher report and aljazeera news to name a couple (mobile version for both) and most of the videos cannot play. The do have the play button in them and when I press it, nothing happens. I downloaded the team stream app and the videos still don't play. They play fine on my iPhone though which I don't understand.
Also another problem I'm having is when ur on a website and there's text within a box. How to u scroll within that text. When I try, the whole page scrolls. In the iPhone, u use 2 fingers to scroll the text. I tried that but it didn't work.
I'm looking for a tutorial to Root and then revert back to JellyBean from KitKat on a Nexus 7 2013 2nd Gen, non carrier, WiFi only, or Whatever is required to switch back to JB from KK..
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhy my SMS text messages no longer appear in one thread. I'm running Android 4.2.1 and when I get a reply from a person that I sent an SMS text message to it appears separate and not in same text thread if that makes sense.
There doesn't appear to be any settings to deal with this.
I have a Coolpad 8720L with its own interface built upon 4.3 Jelly Bean. It's not very good, and I'd like to install stock Android instead. How do I do this?
I heard that I have to root the device, and then find a ROM for stock Jelly Bean to load onto the device?
I was texting someone and adjusting phone volume and now text gigantic size. Don't know how to change it
View 2 Replies View RelatedCan Android be infected by a simple text message?
I'm not necessarily referring to the content of the message. I'm referring to the actual raw text message itself, being sent from someone like a relative (assuming they have an infected device)?
How does the message travel? Does it visit the carrier first, then travel to the recipient in a different format? Is the message being sent as a file or plain text? Could any of the above apply to multimedia/picture messages or phone calls?
I'm assuming if any of this were true, there would have to be an executable involved to perform anything, and I'm not sure if any of that is possible with a text.
There is NO keyboard or text entry widget... I try to create an new account so i get that form that asks for my email and pass... but when I click on it i get a Google vocal input thing that does not do the work anyway... I went to setting, turned it off, still no keyboard...
cannot find any info not even from Ainol them selves. The tablet works with android 4.1.1...Is there anyways to 1) update to a different aNDROID VERSION OR 2) activate the standard keyboard that we find on ALL tablet but mine..
I am trying to get Speech to text to work in Arabic but can't figure out how. Any insight on this? I know they say that the Arabic language has been improved in the Jelly Bean but I'm not seeing it in Arabic .

I am trying to locate the option to store the emails and text on the SD card.
I need instant access to my emails/texts going back a year or so.
BB had an option to save all emails, and a location.
I just cant find it on my Android.
I have connections in all different time zones, and I used to schedule my texts to go out during their daytime hours. Now with 4.3, I do not seem to have that option.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I just got a new phone last weekend, and I'm quite unfamiliar with Android 4 (4.1.2 is my version), having upgraded from a 3 year old Android 2. I'm currently texting a friend and have noticed that when I receive a notification for a new text, although the text symbol appears at the top of the phone, no vibration is made (I currently have my phone on vibrate/silent). It vibrates perfectly well when other notifications are received.
How do I change these notification settings/SMS settings?
I am receiving text messages intermittently, it isnt specific to who is sending them or what network they are on.
sometimes I wont recieve any of a persons text, but sometimes I will receive the 1st text then not their reply??? I have a chinese unbranded handset on android 4.2
Iv put my sim in a non android phone and it seems to work ok so am hoping its not the device, Iv already done a factory reset. changing network etc, it isn't a signal issue as I can download and use the internet perfectly.
Can the report be modified, or is there an app, that can tell me when the message was sent, when it was delivered, and most importantly to me, when it was opened/accessed or read.

Is it possible to transfer or send a text message to email? or can it be saved and added as an attachment. I received what I think is a scam phishing message and would like to email it to the fraud alert website.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my old Droid X, the saved messages would show up at the beginning of the convo. I can't find where all of my saved text messages are now. It says it goes to storage/emulated or something like that, but I don't know where that is.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince I updated my Samsung S4 to 4.3 I can't find a lot of contacts in the texting module. This is what happens: open screen for new text message, click in the receivers line, start typing. A lot comes up but most contacts with mobile numbers are missing. A lot of other useless records come up (e-mail addresses, LinkedIn, etc.).
Is this a setting? A bug? If so, is there a work around?
I've got a Samsung S4 Active running Android 4.2.2. And when I receive MMS messages, only some of the text is shown. Especially if the received image is upright orientation. I have to copy the text to the clipboard and then paste it somewhere to be able to read the entire text. And this is starting to get a little annoying. Is there anything I can do about this, or is this just a "feature" in the message application?
