my galaxy grand duos received firmware and software upgrade. After that, some applications no longer work properly, for example, the planner lost all the characteristics. It doesn't shows weeks. The contact application lost things like favorites.

The jellybean box itself turns on and the home screen loads up. I select the page where all the apps are...select xbmc app...sometimes it flicks back to main apps page other times the screen turns black/blank. I can't get further than this page....my box has worked perfectly for the past 3 months since purchasing. I can't get into the settings page as I can't get past the blank .
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1 and was today notified that an update was ready. I installed this which was the upgrade to 4.2.2
However since then, none of my apps will work. There is a short pause before I get:
"Unfortunately Coin Dozer has stopped"
"Unfortunately Lookout has stopped"
"Unfortunately Tiny Castle has stopped"
"Unfortunately Candy Crush Saga has stopped"
etc.
I tried a reboot a couple of times but that didn't work. Checked to see if Upgrades were available for all affected apps but there are none.
It's been just 8 hours or less, the android phone never dropped from my hand and it never got any physical damage. The screen started to go crazy in the morning when I woke up, the screen wasn't working properly and it was crazy, later I hit the power button three times then the screen started to function. And at the lunch time it started again and now I can't use the screen. The notification bar (or something you pull to use wifi) isn't working. I can't pull it down to use Bluetooth or WiFi or Mobile Data (I don't have SIM yet). Well, it never happened like this before (even if it happened it caused me less damaged). The screen went crazy, even if I wasn't touching this thing the screen was functioning all by itself. It's Android 4.3 and it's latest update for my phone and the next OS is releasing next month.
Phone: Sony Xperia Z (C6602).
Has 3G but no 4G and I never used 3G network.
Why is my phone's screen not working properly? Do I need to use function reset to use it again?
why my SMS text messages no longer appear in one thread. I'm running Android 4.2.1 and when I get a reply from a person that I sent an SMS text message to it appears separate and not in same text thread if that makes sense.
There doesn't appear to be any settings to deal with this.
I just flashed a custom ROM for my first time to my Samsung S4(SPH-L720). Unfortunately I have everything working except my PC will not see my phone anymore. The phone says connected as a MTP device but I cannot see it in my computer to transfer files back and forth.

*Reinstalled drivers and kies to no avail.
I flashed jelly bean onto my galaxy nexus over the past weekend.Playing around with it, I've noticed that voice actions just don't work.Every time I say 'Call Contact', it searches for the phrase instead of performing the action. I've tried other voice actions too like setting alarms, writing emails but nothing works. My phone just performs a web query each time.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S3 that uses MS Exchange to sync my email, calendar, tasks, and contacts through my Office365 account. Everything has worked great for months. A few days ago, I noticed that contacts I had been adding to Outlook on my PC were not showing up on my phone. After checking all of the basic stuff (contacts to display set correctly, sync turned on, auto-sync checked, etc.), I discovered that the Contacts had not synced since mid-January (date/time stamp under Settings/Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync/Settings/More Settings). All "sync" boxes are checked, and the Calendar, Email, Tasks, and Text Messages are all syncing, with current date and time stamps. For some reason, even though the Contacts sync box is also checked, Contacts have not updated since January.
I have tried unchecking boxes, restarting phone, removing and reinstalling account, and everything else I could find on these forums. But nothing works. After re-installing the account on the phone, the Contacts "sync" box is checked, but there is no date/time stamp at all. If I look on Settings/Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync/Accounts, the Sync Contacts box is checked, and it shows a current date/time stamp. But the contacts are not syncing, and no contacts show up on the phone for this exchange account. The contacts are making it from my PC to Office365, as those contacts do show up in the web based Office365 contact list. But the contacts are not making it from there to my phone.
I am spending the afternoon trying to create a temporary work-around, but I run my own consulting business, and having access to my contacts is critical.
My phone updated last night and afterwards I've been experiencing problems. I had 6 apps in the bottom bar including the apps button and I was forced to remove one so the others would fit. My main concern is that my mobile data on off switch in the notification bar is no longer there.

Its a samsung s3 mini, GT-i1890N and it passed but now alot of things are suddenly having issues such as applications such as touchwhiz keeps stopping, i tried the options/ applicationmanager/clear cache option that i keep hearing online as a solution and it didn't work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know if the problem is the O.S. or the stock SMS app (Messages v5.0.582145). But here's the problem:
Most of the time I have a notification icon when I have unread SMS. But sometimes I don't get the notification. The issue seems to occur when I am in one SMS thread and a message comes in on another thread. Or if I leave the app running with a single thread open (as opposed to the "All messages" screen). So I end up with unread SMS messages and no notification. The consequence is that I don't see the stupid message until hours or a day later when I happen to notice the little blue line next to one thread while on the "All messages" scren. The blue line indicates "new/unread message" in the Messages app.
I think it's a bug either in the google O.S. or the google SMS app "Messages". I'm not asking for your favorite notification app.

the problem is that i can't upload/download anything through all the applications that i install (WhatsApp,Facebook,foursquare...). Everytime that i try to upolad or download an item it always fail.
i noticed that the folders by Default created with those applications are not there from the beginning so i tried to create them manually but it didn't work.
i removed the external sd card so that i can install the applications directly in the internal sd card but no thing changed.
Maybe if i root my phone it will work but it doesn't resolve the situation.
one important thing that i notice is that the application installed with the system (not the new ones) like gmail give me the possibility to upload/download without a problem.
i tried to move the new applications to the folder /system/app in order to be executed the same way as the system applications but no change.
I have an Xperia U and I am facing a weird problem, the touchscreen does not work on JB but works in ICS and GB. I have tried flashing different ftf and also tried playing with hw_config, but still it does not work in jb.

I seem to have a problem I have rooted and unlocked my bootloader and flased with rom Carbon 4.3.1on my HTC HD Desire Phone. Everything runs fine except the data don't seem to work even though the correct settings has been applied. Whats so weird it comes on for like an hour then don't come back on again. I have had the rom installed for like 3 days now and it has come 4 times. I have tried switching off the phone, trying different settings also my mum and bro have the same network and same apn settings in my phone is in theres. The apn settings work fine in the stock rom.
Edit - Also I will like to add that the data flickers on and off. The H sign next to the bars
I am considering purchasing an unlocked Xperia ZR and i have At&t network. Can i udate the software once i put my at&t sim card in this ZR because the phone will come with 4.1 installed but i have read it is elligible for an update to 4.2. My question is, since it isnt technically an at&t phone but rather an unlocked phone i just put my sim in, will it still update?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S Advance Gt I1970, running under Android 4.1.2 (official update). the problem is when i try to play games that require the phone sensors, for example Angry Birds Go or Frisbee Forever, the player always go to the left, but then i tried "Ridiculous Fishing" which is also a game that require sensors and it works perfectly but this game doesn't rotate the phone to the landscape mode, then i tried an application called "accelerometer test" and the result was as expected, i can control the ball when am holding the phone in portrait position bust when it's in landscape, everything is missed up.
UPDATE : Problem fixed by downgrading to ginger bread, re-calibrate horizontal acceloremeter and then update to jelly bean again.

View 7 Replies View Related1.Well I got the CM10 on a I9000 and i installed flash player on it. I used an old version of dolphin(from some thread) so i could enable flash.But whenever i go to a website to check out some videos it either says "You must install flash" or the website doesnt load.
2.I originally used opera 11.0.2 to play flash but now whenever i start a flash content it crashes with no errors.

My phone networks 3g and WiFi have lags.. In WiFi mode it connects but network is not found.. In 3g mode it takes so long to on even google.com.. First time i did it worked fine then few days ago i sent the phone into bootloop and then did it second time two days ago..

I am currently on a GS3 on 4.3 using the stock messaging app.
I think downloading is disabled, but can't find it under settings/apps, so I can't find a way to enable it. Play store won't open. My browser does not have the menu button (square with three bars in it). I am using new Nexus 7 with Android 4.3.1.

I have my work address saved in Google Maps as "work," just like I have my home address saved under "home." The "navigate to home" voice action works perfectly: it always pulls up directions to my home. The "navigate to work" voice action NEVER works, it always pulls up Google search for the phrase "navigate to work."
I need the functionality because I require directions to work often.
PS I can search "work" in Google Maps and it does pull up my work address.

I tried Viber and Tango, Both doesn't open multi window or support any. I know it can't be open two of them on the same window but it should be open with other apps on the same window on Galaxy Note 3. Some other apps like Chaton, Youtube can be open two windows on the same screen ( it has two split windows so you can watch two different youtube on the one window. For example, you can open two differnt snow boarders on one window and compare them. It is awesome.). Multi window mode works with other apps fine.
