I am trying to get Speech to text to work in Arabic but can't figure out how. Any insight on this? I know they say that the Arabic language has been improved in the Jelly Bean but I'm not seeing it in Arabic .

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm in a group next with numerous people, mainly iPhone users and group text works perfectly fine with them. However, when receiving text from other android users (GS3 & Note 3), I receive their text separately.
I am currently on a GS3 on 4.3 using the stock messaging app.
The jellybean box itself turns on and the home screen loads up. I select the page where all the apps are...select xbmc app...sometimes it flicks back to main apps page other times the screen turns black/blank. I can't get further than this page....my box has worked perfectly for the past 3 months since purchasing. I can't get into the settings page as I can't get past the blank .

I don't know if the problem is the O.S. or the stock SMS app (Messages v5.0.582145). But here's the problem:
Most of the time I have a notification icon when I have unread SMS. But sometimes I don't get the notification. The issue seems to occur when I am in one SMS thread and a message comes in on another thread. Or if I leave the app running with a single thread open (as opposed to the "All messages" screen). So I end up with unread SMS messages and no notification. The consequence is that I don't see the stupid message until hours or a day later when I happen to notice the little blue line next to one thread while on the "All messages" scren. The blue line indicates "new/unread message" in the Messages app.
I think it's a bug either in the google O.S. or the google SMS app "Messages". I'm not asking for your favorite notification app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Xperia U and I am facing a weird problem, the touchscreen does not work on JB but works in ICS and GB. I have tried flashing different ftf and also tried playing with hw_config, but still it does not work in jb.

my galaxy grand duos received firmware and software upgrade. After that, some applications no longer work properly, for example, the planner lost all the characteristics. It doesn't shows weeks. The contact application lost things like favorites.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI seem to have a problem I have rooted and unlocked my bootloader and flased with rom Carbon 4.3.1on my HTC HD Desire Phone. Everything runs fine except the data don't seem to work even though the correct settings has been applied. Whats so weird it comes on for like an hour then don't come back on again. I have had the rom installed for like 3 days now and it has come 4 times. I have tried switching off the phone, trying different settings also my mum and bro have the same network and same apn settings in my phone is in theres. The apn settings work fine in the stock rom.
Edit - Also I will like to add that the data flickers on and off. The H sign next to the bars
I am considering purchasing an unlocked Xperia ZR and i have At&t network. Can i udate the software once i put my at&t sim card in this ZR because the phone will come with 4.1 installed but i have read it is elligible for an update to 4.2. My question is, since it isnt technically an at&t phone but rather an unlocked phone i just put my sim in, will it still update?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S Advance Gt I1970, running under Android 4.1.2 (official update). the problem is when i try to play games that require the phone sensors, for example Angry Birds Go or Frisbee Forever, the player always go to the left, but then i tried "Ridiculous Fishing" which is also a game that require sensors and it works perfectly but this game doesn't rotate the phone to the landscape mode, then i tried an application called "accelerometer test" and the result was as expected, i can control the ball when am holding the phone in portrait position bust when it's in landscape, everything is missed up.
UPDATE : Problem fixed by downgrading to ginger bread, re-calibrate horizontal acceloremeter and then update to jelly bean again.

View 7 Replies View Related1.Well I got the CM10 on a I9000 and i installed flash player on it. I used an old version of dolphin(from some thread) so i could enable flash.But whenever i go to a website to check out some videos it either says "You must install flash" or the website doesnt load.
2.I originally used opera 11.0.2 to play flash but now whenever i start a flash content it crashes with no errors.

My phone networks 3g and WiFi have lags.. In WiFi mode it connects but network is not found.. In 3g mode it takes so long to on even google.com.. First time i did it worked fine then few days ago i sent the phone into bootloop and then did it second time two days ago..
First is the video playback. I've went to a few websites like bleacher report and aljazeera news to name a couple (mobile version for both) and most of the videos cannot play. The do have the play button in them and when I press it, nothing happens. I downloaded the team stream app and the videos still don't play. They play fine on my iPhone though which I don't understand.
Also another problem I'm having is when ur on a website and there's text within a box. How to u scroll within that text. When I try, the whole page scrolls. In the iPhone, u use 2 fingers to scroll the text. I tried that but it didn't work.
I'm looking for a tutorial to Root and then revert back to JellyBean from KitKat on a Nexus 7 2013 2nd Gen, non carrier, WiFi only, or Whatever is required to switch back to JB from KK..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 4 running stock Android 4.3, rooted. I like to use Google Now voice control in the car, but I can never get the command "navigate to work" to work.
I have my work address saved in Google Maps as "work," just like I have my home address saved under "home." The "navigate to home" voice action works perfectly: it always pulls up directions to my home. The "navigate to work" voice action NEVER works, it always pulls up Google search for the phrase "navigate to work."
I need the functionality because I require directions to work often.
PS I can search "work" in Google Maps and it does pull up my work address.
I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1 and was today notified that an update was ready. I installed this which was the upgrade to 4.2.2
However since then, none of my apps will work. There is a short pause before I get:
"Unfortunately Coin Dozer has stopped"
"Unfortunately Lookout has stopped"
"Unfortunately Tiny Castle has stopped"
"Unfortunately Candy Crush Saga has stopped"
etc.
I tried a reboot a couple of times but that didn't work. Checked to see if Upgrades were available for all affected apps but there are none.
why my SMS text messages no longer appear in one thread. I'm running Android 4.2.1 and when I get a reply from a person that I sent an SMS text message to it appears separate and not in same text thread if that makes sense.
There doesn't appear to be any settings to deal with this.

I'm not necessarily referring to the content of the message. I'm referring to the actual raw text message itself, being sent from someone like a relative (assuming they have an infected device)?
How does the message travel? Does it visit the carrier first, then travel to the recipient in a different format? Is the message being sent as a file or plain text? Could any of the above apply to multimedia/picture messages or phone calls?
I'm assuming if any of this were true, there would have to be an executable involved to perform anything, and I'm not sure if any of that is possible with a text.
There is NO keyboard or text entry widget... I try to create an new account so i get that form that asks for my email and pass... but when I click on it i get a Google vocal input thing that does not do the work anyway... I went to setting, turned it off, still no keyboard...
