Jelly Bean :: Motorola RAZR M Not Getting Google Play Updates
Jan 6, 2014All of a sudden I'm not getting Google play updates.
View 4 RepliesAll of a sudden I'm not getting Google play updates.
View 4 RepliesI like to frequently check for app updates, but wondered if there is a simple shortcut to do this? Now I just go into the the google play/store app, then swipe to go to the my apps and it checks, then I hit update all.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Note 2 running 4.1.2.
Google recently updated Google Play and now does many of their basic function updates through Play instead of through Android releases. Since this has happened I now get unasked for and unwanted Google Play ads for aps that appear on their site randomly popping up on my phone - not from within running apps, but just on the phone itself. There seems to be no way to stop this callous disregard for Google customers' privacy and personal space. Why do they imagine that doing such things will make me want to respond to their advertisers. It makes me disregard the ads entirely. This policy is good for no one, customers, advertisers, Google or Android.
I don't mind ads appearing in free apps - that's why they are free, that's fine. But I didn't ask for this intrusion and interference when I bought the Android operating system on my phone. These ads interfere with running apps, like the phone app, or the alarm app. Google Play opens itself whenever the phone comes out of hibernation and displays a random app from the store, asking you to install it. When my alarm app goes off in the morning, instead of the screen with buttons to snooze or dismiss the alarm, I get the Google Play screen. When I finally get rid of that, the Alarm is nowhere to be seen, not even in the list of running apps behind the pull down screen, yet the alarm sound continues to go off the whole time. I have to go find the Alarm icon and open it again to turn the alarm off.
THIS IS AN INFURIATING example of the way Google treats their users. There seems to be no way to turn these Google Play ads off - Google Play is no longer an app and you can't treat it like other apps. There is no way to complain about it to Google. The Contact Us tab on the Google Play site is a joke and doesn't work.
HOW DO I GET RID OF THESE ANNOYING AND INTERFERING ADS?
I wanted to go to the play store on my tab to update an app I had but I couldn't connect to the store at all. So I went to the my account under the in the settings app and I saw that its been having some sync issues. I kept retrying the sync but it kept failing. So I deleted the account off of my tablet and tryed to log back in. Now it won't even log in and its telling me it can't establish a reliable connection to the server and takes me to the WiFi options in settings.
I dont know whats wrong. My internet works perfectly fine. I can surf the web, watch videos, download and even play apps that require an online connection on my tab but I can't use any Google services for some reason.
I Factory Reset my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and after that I found the Google play Store was missing. I tired various ways to recover it but i'm not able to get it back. Also I tried manual way but i'm getting error 'unfortunately Google play store has stopped'.
I'm even not able to update my device. when updates are downloaded it ask to reboot the device. But after rebooting the failure message appears and it ask to do the update through Computer using Kies. Here also it says you device is not supported.
I own a MI-BOOK MI3 tab. I'm able to surf the internet using browser but, couldn't login into gtalk app, youtube app, googleplay app, can't signin or sync the device with google and, I tried factory reset couple of time changed modem settings, reset modem settings no chance whatsoever and also login with another gmail account which was created for this purpose. Also when I login into play.google.com browser it shows all the apps that or wiped after factory reset as "INSTALLED". What do I do? Also how can I upgrade to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean? I followed your tutorial and gained root access to my tab.
Also if I factory reset again will the root feature enable will be gone? Do I have to root again after one more factory reset if done? What about Android 4.2 Jelly Bean upgrade? Can I root again using same method if I get it to upgrade? Can I change the [url]... settings showing apps as installed even though they were lost after factory reset? If I upgrade to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and do another factory reset will it reset to new installed Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or will it go back to earlier version of Android? What will happen to apps that came with tab by default? Will the apps that came with the tab be lost after upgrade?
I've been using iSyncr for a few months now and overall it's pretty good. I was using it with Rocket Player, but didn't care for that player much, so I am just using the google music app for now.
The problem: All playlists sync, except for the most recent. So if I have playlists 1-5, with 5 being what I just created in iTunes and sync'd, play music will only show 1-4. Whenever I move on and create #6, then #5 will show up but 6 will be missing.. and so on.
I need to either figure out why, or find an alternative music player that doesn't have this problem and works with the iSyncr process/playlists. Rocket Player did not, but had some other things that I didn't like.
My Google play store randomly stopped working earlier today. It isn't closing or crashing. It is just endlessly loading. No time out message or error message. Tried with both 4g and wifi. I am using a Galaxy s3 on Verizon, jelly bean 4.3. The only thing I noticed is that Clash of Clans updated this morning but I was able to get on and download the update and then get back on play store but like not long after that it won't open.
View 5 Replies View RelatedGetting "no connection" when I try to run Play Store app on my LG Optimus L9, rooted phone. I've tried everything I could find on various forums to fix this. Adjusted date/time, switched from manual date/time and back to auto from internet, deleted "hosts" file from the system/etc folder, emptied cache and wiped data from the app using titanium backup, and some other things I can't even remember now. I found a site where I could download a more current version of the Play Store app in an apk file and install it (AndroidPolice site). Is that likely to fix this "no connection" issue? I currently have android 4.1.2, and my Playstore app is 4.0.25. I've also wiped data and cleared cache and restored Google Play services. I haven't tried uninstalling either Play Services or Play Store because I'm afraid to do that. I did use Autorun Manager to make them not load on reboot, but that didn't change anything, so I set them back to automatically load. I also tried freezing them both and separately one at a time.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm currently using a Nexus 7 (2012 model) running Android Jelly Bean 4.3. I've been having a strange issue where the Google Play app keeps saying there is no connection. This has also occurred in the Youtube app. I have tried changing my time manually, rebooting my device, and uninstalling updates, to no avail. I am currently unlocked and rooted, and using TWRP as my recovery.

View 2 Replies View RelatedA while ago I disabled the stock texting app to use Handcent, but I just decided to change back. I deleted Handcent and when I went to enable the default texting app, instead of showing a button that said 'Enable' it just showed an unclickable 'Disable' button. How can I re-enable the app? I use a Droid RAZR running Jelly Bean.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to configure the Google Play Store or a third party App which will automatically update ALL of my apps without having to apply the updates manually on the Google Play app? I'm on the DROID RAZR MAXX with Jellybean 4.1.2. My phone is REALLY slow when updating and I keep having to touch the screen or it halts (I think) the updates.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem on my Asus ME301T tablet with the Play Books app (I'm running android 4.2). Regular text based books work just fine, however, comic books show as blank pages. Sometimes it will load a few pages if I rotate the screen a few times.
I've tried to reinstall the app and redownload the comics without luck. It works fine on my Samsung i9000 running android 4.3.
I am considering purchasing an unlocked Xperia ZR and i have At&t network. Can i udate the software once i put my at&t sim card in this ZR because the phone will come with 4.1 installed but i have read it is elligible for an update to 4.2. My question is, since it isnt technically an at&t phone but rather an unlocked phone i just put my sim in, will it still update?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm getting this error when trying to update my system on my Samsung Galaxy Grand GT-I9082.
My current version is 4.1.2 and I want to update to 4.2.2, but I keep getting that error. I tried wiping the cache. My device has never been rooted. I bought my phone new and packaged and I did not root it. The status says that it's custom and I can't figure out how to solve this. I've read around that removing the SD card and updating works, but I don't have a SD card in my phone.I go to the Settings -> About Device -> Software Update -> Update.
I rushed to rooT before I even installed the latest ota and installed a custom recovery but I have been facing huge slowdown in games that should run butter smooth on my phone such as dead trigger and my friend with same mobile phone and both on stock jelly bean 4.2.2 rooted can run it butter smooth the only difference between 2 devices is that he installed the ota updates before rooting so could that be the problem?and if so is the there a way to install ota updates while rooted and if there is any custom rom without problems that works on my mobile phone that fasts everything up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter recently updating to the latest android 4.3 on my Note 2, I suddenly cannot play voicemails through my car bluetooth anymore. I can still make and receive calls through the car and therefore dial into my voicemails, but cannot just play back a specific message directly from my list of voicemails within the voicemail program - its the stock program that came with the phone. I can also play back directly through my bluetooth headset, just not to my car audio anymore. What gives? Obviously something changed with the update that I cant figure out. This is the last time I ever do an update unless its absolutely necessary, it seems like every time something gets jacked up that takes me hours to resolve.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using the Galaxy Note 3 for the last 2 months but I still have my iPhone 5. Something that I've noticed is that a lot of videos that play on ios don't play on android. And if I can play the video on my Android then the video is much more laggy and not as clear than on my iPhone 5. These are regular websites like sports websites (nhl, nba, espn etc) or Team Stream app/website, or random other sites that have videos for mobile devices. Sometimes (with my Android) on sites, the video shows the play button, but the video still doesn't play. I don't understand this because on my iPhone 5 the videos play perfectly, load much quicker, play and look smoother, and just look more clear. Or is this just something that android lacks in its OS?
View 15 Replies View RelatedIt will open for less than a second, I once got it to say, "Unfortunately, Google Play has stopped" or something along those lines.
Cleared cache, nothing. Cleared data, it got as far as letting me accept terms and in the notification bar told me I had apps to update, but then shut down again. As far as I can remember Play Store was working before I updated.
I updated on a rooted Galaxy S 3. I was running stock everything, I believe. I had only changed the camera shutter noise.
is there anyway I can use the songs I download from Play store on power amp?

I think downloading is disabled, but can't find it under settings/apps, so I can't find a way to enable it. Play store won't open. My browser does not have the menu button (square with three bars in it). I am using new Nexus 7 with Android 4.3.1.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a new Experia Z Tablet this morning and I'm ready to throw it out of the window in a minute. I have been on android for a long time with the same email. Gmail address. I received my new tablet this morning. Turned it on and after setting up logged in with my email that have used for years and am currently using on a HTC one but I'm getting the 403 error whenever try to download an app or even re populate the tablet with the same apps I have on my phone. I've researched lots and tried the deleting cash and stop services etc. Still no joy.
I've factory reset tablet. Kept on wifi and tried again. Still the same. I've made a new Gmail account. Tried again. Still the same. I'm at a loss to what to do. If even after making a new Google log in etc it won't work where do I go now. I don't want multiple accounts I just want to have the same account across my phone and tablet. Oh and it's the lte version by the way. I've tried not entering any mobile network details and using only wifi at first and it doesn't work. Then I tried not using wifi but only using the mobile network and still the same. Also the is no proxy setting in mine to delete. I don't mind factory resetting again as I've got nothing on here anyway as I can't download any apps. With any account. Old or new.
I'm looking for a tutorial to Root and then revert back to JellyBean from KitKat on a Nexus 7 2013 2nd Gen, non carrier, WiFi only, or Whatever is required to switch back to JB from KK..
