The 'complete action using' box does not come up when playing a video, even though my video player is not set as default app for playing videos. I have tried clearing defaults.

I forgot to copy calendar entries before a factory reset, However, I did copy the complete sdcard0 to a folder on the extSdCard.how to extrapolate my calendar entries from the OS folders? Where does Android keep calendar entries? I checked my Google and Outlook calendars and all my didn't sync.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've come to the conclusion, after trying several different file managers, music players and playlist organisers, that it simply isn't possible to choose the order in which music will be played. I have two folders of mp3 files, both of which contain track numbers on every file, but, when I try to create a playlist, it just ignores the track numbers and plays the files in alphabetical order. I have read several files explaining how to edit the order of a playlist all of which refer to options which don't exist on my phone.

This seems such a basic requirement for a music player that it seems impossible that it's been overlooked and yet that seems to be the case.
I have a problem with my Android Tablet (not sure if Android 4.1/4.2/4.3 but well, possibly). I wanted to use it for a bit, but it froze right when I opened the browser. I pressed the switch button, it went black and then it didn't switch on or did anything at all. After a while, it worked again, not really, but well, it showed the last thing I was doing while using it, but it was still frozen and I couldn't do anything. Now it stays like that and nothing happens. I tried pressing the switch button (together with the up/down volume), but nothing happens. It stays like that, turned on and frozen. My friend suggested me to leave it like that until the battery dies (when I was last using it, it had 40-30% battery left).
My tablet is from a network brand (or whatever it is called), Cosmote (Cosmote MyTab) and it worked perfectly so far ): I'll take it to a service if it still stays like that, but I would avoid that, since my parents will think I did something wrong, even if I didn't!
I just updated my S3 to 4.3 (my network is 3 - UK) and the phone is so slow! All programs crash after a few minutes of going onto them. I keep getting messages like "unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped".
Also I have no mobile network!! Everytime I click on mobile data is tells me to "insert an active sim to access network" but when I put the sim in my brothers phone the sim works.
I really don't want to do a factory reset as I have a lot of internal things saved such as pics and whatsapp conversations that I really need!
Is it possible to go back to 4.2?
For some reason saying Ok Google doesn't activate search except once and awhile, I dunno if I gotta be in search app or any screen. Doesn't tend to work in either.

I am currently on a GS3 on 4.3 using the stock messaging app.
Ok so I rooted my phone and installed SuperUser and Titanium Backup (paid version). My main reason was to free up some space.I clear the cache almost daily, am using just a few apps and have deleted anything that would actually make the phone any fun (like cool widgets or useful yet non-basic apps. I have no games on it. I have googled "how to move apps to SD with Titanium Backup" dozens of times in the past month and read that it's under "batch options" a thousand times. However, for the life of me I can NOT see an option under the 4th section "Move/Integrate" for anything remotely related to MOVING APPS TO SD. The only thing it shows on that category is "Integrate updates of system apps into ROM".
I have a huge external SD plugged in where ALL my pictures, screenshots, downloads, music and videos are stored. The external SD is not even half full. Yet, my 4.44GB internal memory is filled nearly to capacity with only 274MB free.
I constantly get the STORAGE SPACE RUNNING LOW message and my available space is invariably under 380MB.
WHAT CAN I DO??? I'm about to give up on Android alltogether.
I'm running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and the main apps I'm using which I think take up the most space are GMail, Whatsapp, Google Maps, Androind Weather and Camera360.
I think downloading is disabled, but can't find it under settings/apps, so I can't find a way to enable it. Play store won't open. My browser does not have the menu button (square with three bars in it). I am using new Nexus 7 with Android 4.3.1.

Also, HTC sync manage crashes when I try to use this app to send the files. I can't use Bluetooth to send files either since apparently my mac doesn't stay connected with the phone.

Music from the Note streams to it with the Hopper displaying album art and play controls. When I try video it shows a loading progress but fails with video cannot be played error. I have tried very short videos thinking it may have been a file size problem but this happens with all video.

This is my phone:
Model: Motorola XT919
Android version: jelly bean 4.1.2
Internal memory: 4gb (really 2,2 gb free since the rest is used by the OS)
Rooted: Yes
I found out about this problem because I was running out of internal space so I inmediately checked the storage settings and I found this:
In the installed apps settings it shows 766 mb free of internal space But in the storage settings the things are different: As you can see, this time I only have 127 mb free of internal storage....
Just to be sure, I downloaded the app Storage Analyser and once again checked the internal storage free space: And this time shows 1,52 gb free...
Well the thing is that my phone considers as free space just the 127mb shown on storage settings, and I want the phone also uses the free space shown on the app settings or the one shown by storage analyser.
I'm looking for a tutorial to Root and then revert back to JellyBean from KitKat on a Nexus 7 2013 2nd Gen, non carrier, WiFi only, or Whatever is required to switch back to JB from KK..

I want to eliminate this dialog, so it just launches the activity from its own integrated package.Currently, my AndroidManifest.xml contains for the package activity:

I'm on Note 2 with Android 4.1.2 and every time I click on a link in the stock browser (specially on youtube) the "Complete action using" keeps popping up.

I'm using the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 on 4.2.2 with Nova Launcher and just recently after disabling apps, etc. my Video player app no longer opens. I press it and it freezes for 15 seconds and says unfortunately it has stopped working. On top of that every time I delete a contact, it deletes the contact but gives me a message like "android.process.acore" had stopped working and exits the contacts app.
I've tried enabling any potential function that I may have disabled to have that issue and no luck. I also cleared cache and data of the contacts list and contacts storage but no luck. I honestly do not want to format data as I have already done it 3 times prior to this issue and it is tedious. EDIT: Fixed video player by enabling picasa uploader and cloud Agent. Still no luck with the error message after deleting contact.
I believe Facebook has updated their Flash requirements, every time I try and watch a video I get a n error message with a "update Adobe Flash Player", I've tried opening the link but it will not download. I have found the Play Store no longer supports Adobe Flash Player so I've tried to manually install the latest android v4.0 software from the archives files but even after installation it still does not let me view. I can view all the videos on my PC without a problem.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am a newcomer to Android having recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S I9000M (my first smartphone ever), marketed in Canada under the name Vibrant. It is running Android 2.1 and I have not yet rooted, unlocked or otherwise modified the phone.
I have downloaded and installed three browsers in addition to the stock Internet browser: Dolphin, Opera Mini and Opera Mobile.
After installing Opera Mobile I started having the following annoying problem:
When I was in the stock browser, every time I clicked a link the "Complete action using" window would pop up prompting me to select which browser I want to use. The choices were: Dolphin, Internet and Opera Mini (curiously, no Opera Mobile). I would check the "Use by default for this action" box and proceed to click "Internet" (the stock browser), which should have made the stock browser my default one. However, next time I clicked a link it would happen all over again.
This happened only in the stock browser, never in Dolphin or one of the Operas.
It's like my Android kept forgetting my choice of default browser although in the settings for the stock browser it said it was default.
I also noticed that after the installation of Opera Mobile the delay between clicking a link in any browser and the browser's reaction became noticeably longer (up to a second).
I just purchased my first ever cell phone ( Google LG Nexus 4 16gb ) . I have never used one before , just never had the need for one . How to use Android Jelly Bean 4.3 and also how to use this phone .
View 5 Replies View RelatedBest way I could describe it. On ICS the dialer would allow me to type a number and come back to it later, now when I multi-task the number disappears. I am running 4.1.2 on a HTC Desire 300, and the dialer is stock to the best of my knowledge.
