I forgot to copy calendar entries before a factory reset, However, I did copy the complete sdcard0 to a folder on the extSdCard.how to extrapolate my calendar entries from the OS folders? Where does Android keep calendar entries? I checked my Google and Outlook calendars and all my didn't sync.

I have accidentally factory reset my fully loaded D2-912 device without doing a back up. I lost all my apps and the pad is now as as good as dead. How do I get everything back? I tried to reinstall some of the main apps apk files from My Computer, but it doesn't work. Detailed instructions? Drivers ? Software?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI rooted my 4.2.2 jellybean Android phone and using the Root Explorer app, I transferred all my system apps to my Sd card hoping to increase my phone's internal memory. After doing that, my phone rebooted and all the phone's system apps were gone!!!!!.. like the calendar, launcher, browser, dialer, contacts, File explorer and everything else.. Now using mc pc, I was able to download a few system apps like browser.apk and tried re installing it on my phone but it won't. . .THe error was "App not installed".. I think the reason was because I have also transferred the "downloader.apk something" into my sd card that's why I was unable to download apps now.
View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday I was downloading an app from app store (my phone is LG Optimus L9) and suddenly it just displayed a window with only one choice "Restore phone". I didn't do anything for it to show up, it showed up all by itself. I tried press home or back button, I even tried locking the phone, but it didn't work. So I restarted the phone, it took 30 minutes for it to boot and it showed the same problem with the error "com.android.phone process stopped working". After finding on the forums I decided to hard reset the phone, but when I do, this appears on screen. Is my phone long gone or can I still restore it and use it somehow?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI reset my phone (Sony Xperia P) to factory settings about an hour or three ago to clear up some of the junk that I'd accumulated, after restoring my contacts, messages , apps that I actually wanted etc; I'd noticed that despite still being on 4.1.2, there were a couple of things that were different about the phone.
The first one, is the menu that comes up when I drag from the left side of the screen, something which seems to bug out quite a lot, and generally seems a bit 'laggy' when ever I do use it, and sometimes after clicking an icon, nothing happens. The second, and probably more important thing, is the change of the 'swipe' lock screen I've noticed. Beforehand, when I pushed the unlock button, it would come up with the image I'd selected, and I could then swipe vertically to unlock it (with the picture opening like blinds from where I'd dragged). Now, upon unlocking, the default screen is my wallpaper with a circle encompassing a lock, which can be dragged left for a camera, right to unlock, or upwards to several icons to get to some apps (Chrome, Phone, the default e-mail, a magnifying glass (which leads to a 'This web page is not available' webpage on chrome, and Amazon MP3 - the latter of which I think is a bit random).
I can then swipe sideways to 'add widget' pages, or the other way to a 'social network in full' screen. I added a Skysports football widget, which appears in the middle of the screen, in front of a different colour screen each time (which can look a bit taccy), but can't seem to find how to remove it.
The 'social' page, although looking very aesthetically pleasing, doesn't seem to work. I'm logged into both Facebook and Twitter (however, not Instagram, as I don't use it), but it still says 'connect with' Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. When I try to log into Facebook, it comes up with a log in screen, which never actually logs in when I enter my details, and I haven't tried the Twitter/Instagram icons.
I imagine there are a few other things that I haven't noticed yet, as I haven't really messed about with it that much.
My questions are:
Can I remove the side-menu? Or perhaps make it less buggy? (the Facebook page takes me to a 'not available' page, which is quite annoying).
Can I change the lock screen back to the 'Swipe' I had before the reset?If not;
How do I remove widgets once added to the lock screen?
How do I get the social media page to work? That seems something that could be quite useful.
on my Nexus 7 (Android 4.3). Via the reading history of my pdf reader (Moon+ reader) I can see that at least one file is still present in the cache under the following folder address:

How can I access this folder? When accessing the device via the Android File Transfer sofware for Mac, I don't see this folder. I have access to Android/data/com.google.android.apps.docs/files, but this folder contains no files but only another folder (called "pinned_doc_files_not_for_edit") which is also empty.
The lost pdf is still there, I can open it in the reader via the reading history, but I would like to access the folder to see whether other lost files (which are not in the reading history) are also still present. To be clear, the file which I can open is also not detected when searching the device for pdfs.
My girlfriend has a Lenovo A 850 cell phone.By mistake she pressed 2 buttons at the same time (she thinks it was the power button + volume button) Now all the text is in Chinese - written on a black background with a blue top part of the screen.
How can she make a "hard" reset of the phone? We cannot really find anything in the Internet about that subject, only one website that mentioned, that we have to
- Turn off phone
- Press "power-button" and "volume-up"

I would like to know if it is possible to reset my email account's information and settings for Google Opinion Rewards. During the beginning part of Google Opinion Rewards, you are asked to put in things such as your occupation, ZIP code, and full name. I was sleeping during the release of this application, and so a younger family member was playing around on my Nexus, they apparently put in a bunch of random information. Obviously, those choices affect the possibilities of receiving surveys, and I would like if I am able to reset it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI Factory Reset my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and after that I found the Google play Store was missing. I tired various ways to recover it but i'm not able to get it back.Also I tried manual way but i'm getting error 'unfortunately Google play store has stopped'.
I'm even not able to update my device. when updates are downloaded it ask to reboot the device. But after rebooting the failure message appears and it ask to do the update through Computer using Kies. Here also it says you device is not supported.
i have all my contacts and calendar in my google account. I added a birthday to one of my contacts (on the web version of my contacts google.com/contacts) and it shows up as expected in the web version of the calendar google.com/calendar (see screenshot).
However, when i view my calendar on the nexus 4 (stock calendar app), the new entry fails to show up, even though all calendars are fully synced etc (see screenshot).
I have checked the contact details on both google.com/contacts and on the phone and the added birthday shows up correctly, it's just doesn't seem to want to appear on the phone version of the calendar. I have checked that all calendars are synced on the phone (see screenshot)
I have tried clearing the app data and cache for the calendar app - no change.
I have a nexus 4 running android 4.3. On my gmail app none of the times or dates are highlighted so that I can add the event to my calendar. In contrast, when I log into my gmail on my PC I am able to use that function.

I tried to use calendar snooze and it alarm any event i used but i want to use only my calendar and no 3rd party app.
The last 3 versions of Android had the ability to set Reminders to NOW when creating events in the calendar. Now it appears that there is no such option and the closest to NOW is 15 minutes before. This can really be a major upheaval in people's lives, although it may seem trivial at first. Those that really need to do this quickly I think know this.
There seems to be no option to delete pictures, at least the way it's been in the last few versions of android.
Finally got the note 3 from Telus and loved the big screen + battery capacity!!(Ditched the iPhone 4 for note and it was a perfect choice!)
However, since I am completely a noob in android, how do I sync note, reminder and calendar with Google?
I like the stock ICS/JB scrollable calendar widget but it's not very useful since it only shows events 7 days out. I know there are a ton of third-party calendar widgets out there but most don't look very good or don't show event colors, etc. What I'd like is an exact clone of the stock widget but with the simple modification of showing 30 or 60 days out.

There is a MAX_DAYS variable which is set to 7 which is then used to set a SEARCH_DURATION variable. I'm not certain but this may be used in fetching events.
I am familiar with the SDK and creating apps but have never created a widget. I'm not sure if this code can be taken to make a widget with the desired modification.

I made an account on my wife's phone and everything shows up. I made an account for my wife on my phone and it shows no syncs available. So I know it's not an account problem, rather a software problem?

I select the page where all the apps are...select xbmc app...sometimes it flicks back to main apps page other times the screen turns black/blank. Has anyone turned off copy protection on their app recently? We're finding that Motorola Backflip users can't see our paid apps, so we'd like to turn off copy protection as it doesn't seem to prevent pirating. But, we're worried that existing users will lose their saved preferences. According to bug 2047, the issue was fixed in November 2009, but according to some discussions, it actually still exists. It'd be great to hear positive or negative examples from anyone who's tried this recently. We're also thinking of putting out a dummy app to test things out and will report back if we do.
