I have an HTC Wildfire and works perfectly whit the WiFi networks of my friends or the wifi networks at school.But at home i have a modem router Sitecom 54G WL-578. I connect without no problems at the wifi network but i can access Internet or any application like facebook or youtube.

Hope I haven't missed anything obvious, had wildfire for about a week, all ok.Now suddenly, I can only connect either my laptop or wildfire to wifi, not both at the same time, only started happening a couple of days ago.can anyone help please?

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy wi fi isn't working it has found our connection ever since I turned it on now it doesn't. I am sitting right next to the computer but it cannot find it. I uninstalled 360 camera because that is the last app I installed. It was working fine untill I did the update. Than it did a force close a couple of times. That was yesterday than when I turned my phone on this morning it can not find the connection and the letter icon that shows you have mail is not up in the left hand corner of the phone. I really don't want to do a factory reset if I can help it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Telstra HTC Wildfire and unlocked it by code to use my 3 SIM card on it. However, after unlocking my mobile, when I choose the option "use phone for data connection when wi-fi is unavailable" it doesn't work. When i go to mobile network and network operators, I select to search for networks and the phone is automatically connected to "3Telstra(3G)". They also show 3(3G) and 3 networks, but when I try to select any of them, it says that the SIM card does not allow the connection to this network. I don't know if one thing is connected to the other, but I always used my old phone for data connection with the same SIM card.

WiFi sees the network, says "Connecting", comes up "Failed to connect", "Scanning" and loops on that sequence. I know the router's working because this laptop is using it right now
Someone was calling me today and it went to voicemail before I could get answering. When I called them back they said it only rang 5 or 6 times before going to voicemail. Is there a way I can get my phone to ring more times to give me extra time to answer it?

Normal open wifi (in shopping centre) work fine.
Just started with one. But while flashing the ROM i'm getting Status 7 error.
I took RazoDroid ROM which is for Galaxy Fit and SplashMod ROM of Wildfire.
The following are the steps i followed while porting which were guided from here.
1.Extracted boot.img and replaced the kernel from SplashMOD.
2.From the ramdisk changed to init.buzz.rc
3.Repacked kernel.
4.Replaced the following folders/files from SpashMOD

/system/lib/hw/
/system/usr/keylayout/

Else the procedure itself is wrong or the ROM can not be ported?
I have HTC Wildfire but sometimes it displays me a Force close error. I am not using a custom rom. It is on Facebook app and the Internet app.

One question though - I'd like to put stuff on the SD card over WiFi - rather than plugging in the lead. Is this possible? I know it can be done as Tune Sync does it - but this maybe an exception. It's on the same network as the Wildfire can get out I just want to be able to see it from my Windows 7 PC.

SSID Visible
WPA2 AES Passphrase Encryption
Wireless Access control (limits devices by MAC address) have disabled until I can get connected
I have even reset my passprase incase I have forogt it (unlikely). The problem I get is when I try to connect I see the WiFi in the corner of the screen briefly with full bars, but it has a ! next to it and then it disconnects.
Any goof apps out there that will turn my HTC Wildfire in to a WiFi hotspot?

I saw some other threads upon googling but they were for other devices and I'm a bit nervous that I'll screw things up.
In my application I must use the internet connection ,so I check it first before I open an URL connection using this :-

However this code runs well when I connected to either the operator internet Or to a Wi-fi network. But when I'm connected to the operator but without credit and no internet the mobile also sees it as there's internet,or even connected to a Wi-fi network but without internet gateway it also sees as if it's connected to the internet.
Why when I use goggles does it nearly everytime give me a try again connection error. I haven't got it work once and everytime the picture comes out blurry.

Ok here's the actual problem: Everytime I try to connect to the server I get this error:

I also tried to reach the site by using the emulators browser. But there I got following error: HTTP Error 401.2 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to server configuration favoring an alternate authentication method.
I have no clue how to solve this problem or why I get this error.
I successfully set up a work email account as my default email address but have not been able to send/receive email. I keep receiving a "connection error". I'm sure my settings are correct (POP3, port 110; outgoing port 25) and I have the "secure connection" box unchecked. I do have mail.domain name for the SMTP address.
