I've just got the tattoo today, and have been trying to sync facebook with my contacts in people. The pictures of my contacts are not downloading or displaying, yet I can see their updates and status.

I have all of my contacts linked to their respective facebook accounts, but the pictures that show up when I go to my People never update with the facebook pictures, they have stayed the same since the day I linked the two regardless of how many times the person has changed their default picture since then. Is there any way for me to change this so the pictures in my People update with facebook? Since they are linked I assume they should be able to do this.

I've tried going to the favorite group under "People". I remove the people and they are removed. I check the People widget on my home page and they are gone. I wait 15minutes, check again and they are back in favorites.
I've tried going to the individual contacts and removing them from favorites. Same problem.
I could be missing this, but is there a way to send/tag a photo to facebook from the photo itself? The Facebook app for my blackberry lets me do this. If I pull up a photo I just took, I have the option of sending it to Facebook, as well as tagging it. I can't figure out how to do this on my Moment.

Which would then go on to fail. Or is there another Facebook App. im missing out on here?? Im using Bloo at the moment but its driving me mad and force closing and not loading alllll the time.
View 9 Replies View Relatedmy newly bought Tattoo became unbootable a few days ago.It worked perfectly fine two days ago, then it started to randomly reboot itself, but after that, it became completely unbootable, as in, it was stuck at the "TATTOO" screen. The phone internals are completely untouched, no custom images, not rooted, no nothing, it's factory fresh.The battery is full too, and I didn't install anything that could possibly have corrupted the bootloader (or whatever is failing to load).I already tried to wipe the user data _TWICE_ (using HOME + BACK + POWER) with no success. I'm also perfectly able to get into HBOOT (using VOLDOWN + MENU + POWER), and connect via usb (using "FASTBOOT USB" from HBOOT). However, I can't completely wipe the cache with fastboot.exe from the android-sdk, since it doesn't allow it: "erasing 'cache'... FAILED (remote: not allow)".

Is this some kind of fault or is the service really unavailable at the moment?
I've had my HTC Hero for a couple of months and finally think I've got to grips with the majority of its features. One of the things I really liked when I originally set it up was the fact that my contacts in People would sync up with anyone it recognised as having a facebook account and therefore provided their profile picture and birthday info etc. However, a couple of weeks ago all these pictures suddenly disappeared and I've no idea why - I can still get onto facebook fine and my contacts all seem as they were except they're all pictureless and it's really starting to annoy me. Has anyone else experienced this or is there any setting I'm missing or something I've done wrong??
On a completely unrelated note (although I may well post this seperately), I've recenly downloaded Handcent SMS from the market as I'd read that this was a good alternative to the original messaging application, but I don't know how to set this as my default SMS app and to get rid of the original off my home screen.

Is their anyway I can rectify this? When I try to edit the contact it does not give me the option to unlink said contact from facebook. The picture would show up but their statuses wouldn't update. And now the picture doesn't show up on a contact, it's not linked with Facebook anymore and when I try to link it says I have no friends..?
First question: Why wouldn't my contact's statuses update?

My FB contacts are not showing up in my People app. On People, "accounts" shows FB and auto sync app data is checked. On "contacts to display", FB is not included.

So i was quite surprised to see that the facebook integration on the tattoo doesn't extend to importing Facebook Contact's phone numbers.
and the only way i know of to get them is through adding a 'live folder' to the homescreen through the official facebook app found on other android phones but not the tattoo Any ideas?
I have linked my facebook account to my desire and I have a couple of issues that I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with:
1. I received a text message from my credit card company, who are not in my contacts list. The phone has listed the sender as a random facebook contact who is not in my 'people' list. How has this happened and how can I fix it?
2. I have used some of my friends facebook profile photos in my people list. However, when they update their profile picture, the photo does not change on my phone. Can I do anything about this?
Had the g2 touch / hero for a few days now and love it but today I have a problem with contacts being duplicated in the people app. All of my contacts are stored in Gmail and there are no dupes but today all of my contacts with a facebook profile are showing twice. Also, and I don't know if this is related, the people app no longer shows any albums for facebook contacts although they are there if I access them through the albums app.

Now after the OTA update, the links are all but not there. I have two people, me included whose Facebook profile picture still shows. Is there any way to link all my contacts to FB at once vs having to go into each one manually and selecting "Link", then selecting the "suggested FB profile"? My EVO is fine regarding the following...but my wife's is not: When I go to People (Contacts), hit the Globe icon for Online directories, then hit the Facebook icon (Facebook for HTC EVO) ...it is empty (You don't have any friends). Connected to that problem is the real issue: no Facebook link option for individual contacts (can't use FB photo or "View Facebook Profile" for that contact.
I've tried many of the suggested fixes...including removing and adding the FB program, removing and adding the contacts from SD card, rebooting the device. Also have been into "Accounts & Sync" and have configured everything imaginable with the FB account under "Manage Accounts".
I have managed to link most of my contacts to their Facebook accounts, but I just can't seem to get their Facebook Profile Pic on my contact list, I've even touched the little picture, then a window popped up asking where I'd like to choose the picture from: Gallery, Camera, Google, Facebook. Obviously I chose Facebook, but no result.

It has the best facebook app on its homepage and IMO it is way superior to any out there.The browsing is super fast and you have the ability to download videos from your favorite sites to your sd card. I've had my phone for about 4 days, I synced my contact card in people to my Facebook account right away, ever since it's said I have a 157 wall posts. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an incredibly annoying problem with my People contacts, where if I link a contact's Facebook account to their profile on my phone, People also decides to add in their phone numbers! This means I end up with duplicate phone numbers to choose from (for example, when selecting a contact to send an SMS to) or numbers that have been incorrectly added to Facebook by the contact (made up numbers or incorrect international dialing codes). All I want is to link the Facebook account and NOT have the contact details automatically added. The only contacts I have set up to view in People are my Google contacts - 'Facebook for HTC Sense' is unticked.
