My FB contacts are not showing up in my People app. On People, "accounts" shows FB and auto sync app data is checked. On "contacts to display", FB is not included.
Oh yeah, I'm using a Moto X.

I have all of my contacts linked to their respective facebook accounts, but the pictures that show up when I go to my People never update with the facebook pictures, they have stayed the same since the day I linked the two regardless of how many times the person has changed their default picture since then. Is there any way for me to change this so the pictures in my People update with facebook? Since they are linked I assume they should be able to do this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know what exactly happened because I wasn't playing around with settings much. But I had all my contacts/people synced with facebook. The picture would show up but their statuses wouldn't update. And now the picture doesn't show up on a contact, it's not linked with Facebook anymore and when I try to link it says I have no friends..?
First question: Why wouldn't my contact's statuses update?
Second question: How do I link my people/contacts to Facebook again?
Had the g2 touch / hero for a few days now and love it but today I have a problem with contacts being duplicated in the people app. All of my contacts are stored in Gmail and there are no dupes but today all of my contacts with a facebook profile are showing twice. Also, and I don't know if this is related, the people app no longer shows any albums for facebook contacts although they are there if I access them through the albums app.

My EVO is fine regarding the following...but my wife's is not: When I go to People (Contacts), hit the Globe icon for Online directories, then hit the Facebook icon (Facebook for HTC EVO) ...it is empty (You don't have any friends). Connected to that problem is the real issue: no Facebook link option for individual contacts (can't use FB photo or "View Facebook Profile" for that contact.
I've tried many of the suggested fixes...including removing and adding the FB program, removing and adding the contacts from SD card, rebooting the device. Also have been into "Accounts & Sync" and have configured everything imaginable with the FB account under "Manage Accounts".
I have managed to link most of my contacts to their Facebook accounts, but I just can't seem to get their Facebook Profile Pic on my contact list, I've even touched the little picture, then a window popped up asking where I'd like to choose the picture from: Gallery, Camera, Google, Facebook. Obviously I chose Facebook, but no result.

I have 12 contacts and 8 of them are FB pics and 5 of them are showing there heads cutoff lol. Am I the only one experiencing this? Is anybody else friends pictures not centered or cuts them off?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have to say that this default Application is truly simple and easy to deal with, and that makes it all the more significant in my view. However, I am running into an odd problem, and I would like to see if anyone has had the same experience, and/or could offer their assistance in this matter.
I have linked all of my contacts to their FB profiles, and all seems to work extremely well. However, for reasons beyond my understanding, when I attempt to click on the "Album" icon (To view the photographs of a FB Friend), this App. always makes me go through a "Force Close". This ONLY happens with ONE of my contacts though, as with every other contact I still retain the ability to view their FB Photo Albums. I was thinking that the one contact in question here, possibly has too many photographs for this App. to handle(?), but I can get it to work on a very rare occasion despite such.
I would really like to hear from folks in regard to this issue, because it's puzzling, and somewhat irritating.
I have rebooted, and I have also taken the particular FB profile off of my contact list, and then re-applied it (All to no avail).
Here is the error message:
1. How do I search for a contact from the people list? I don't want to have to scroll through all of them, but I don't see a search button other than the global search, and that does not seem to pull up contacts.
2. How do I get the facebook pictures on my contacts? I did the sync with Facebook, but it did not bring the pictures over, just the data.available in LauncherPro
I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. When I try to open a Facebook contact, the people app keeps force closing and restarting.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have an app where I want to list all phone numbers and the associated contact name.I see that there is the Contacts.People table for the purpose of getting all phone numbers and that there is a PERSON_ID to allow me to lookup the contact in Contacts.People.Great.Now I see that all the columns I want are already joined to the Contacts.People.Phones table. But that seems lucky in this case.How could I do the equivalent of the above statement in general if the implementer of the content provider hadn't been so nice as to join for me?

But, when I tap "phone" I get all those people PLUS everyone on my dang facebook. I didn't set it up like that so I'm assuming it has to do with either friendstream or facebook syncing. I don't necessarily want ALL those people in my contacts. Is there a way to change that?
View 17 Replies View RelatedI've had my HTC Hero for a couple of months and finally think I've got to grips with the majority of its features. One of the things I really liked when I originally set it up was the fact that my contacts in People would sync up with anyone it recognised as having a facebook account and therefore provided their profile picture and birthday info etc. However, a couple of weeks ago all these pictures suddenly disappeared and I've no idea why - I can still get onto facebook fine and my contacts all seem as they were except they're all pictureless and it's really starting to annoy me. Has anyone else experienced this or is there any setting I'm missing or something I've done wrong??
On a completely unrelated note (although I may well post this seperately), I've recenly downloaded Handcent SMS from the market as I'd read that this was a good alternative to the original messaging application, but I don't know how to set this as my default SMS app and to get rid of the original off my home screen.
I've just got the tattoo today, and have been trying to sync facebook with my contacts in people. The pictures of my contacts are not downloading or displaying, yet I can see their updates and status.

Is their anyway I can rectify this? When I try to edit the contact it does not give me the option to unlink said contact from facebook. 1. I received a text message from my credit card company, who are not in my contacts list. The phone has listed the sender as a random facebook contact who is not in my 'people' list. How has this happened and how can I fix it?
2. I have used some of my friends facebook profile photos in my people list. However, when they update their profile picture, the photo does not change on my phone. Can I do anything about this?

Is there anyway to keep the pics on there at all times or any reason they go away?

Now after the OTA update, the links are all but not there. I have two people, me included whose Facebook profile picture still shows. When I go to re-link someone, I no longer get my full list of Facebook Friends to link their profile to.

Same exact name. If I open up People, she is there. If I open up Facebook friends, she is there. When I open up People, find her and try to link to Facebook, she is not there.

Is there any way to link all my contacts to FB at once vs having to go into each one manually and selecting "Link", then selecting the "suggested FB profile"? It has the best facebook app on its homepage and IMO it is way superior to any out there.The browsing is super fast and you have the ability to download videos from your favorite sites to your sd card. Probably my favorite app side from personal assistant.

I've had my phone for about 4 days, I synced my contact card in people to my Facebook account right away, ever since it's said I have a 157 wall posts. It shows up under the updates and events tab in people. I've tried scrolling through all the notifications, but they won't clear.
