Got a new HTC Tattoo and love it! But can't see certain apps in the market place.Can we start a list of where we can download apps like Skymaps, Andnav2, etc without having to go through the android market.Any help would be great!

For some reason my phone has stopped downloading email from my pop3 account. I have re-entered the information and the phone verified the settings. Interestingly enough I can however still send e-mails. Any ideas on what is wrong?Is there any other android application which I can replace the default htc mail application with?
View 3 Replies View Relatedmy newly bought Tattoo became unbootable a few days ago.It worked perfectly fine two days ago, then it started to randomly reboot itself, but after that, it became completely unbootable, as in, it was stuck at the "TATTOO" screen. The phone internals are completely untouched, no custom images, not rooted, no nothing, it's factory fresh.The battery is full too, and I didn't install anything that could possibly have corrupted the bootloader (or whatever is failing to load).I already tried to wipe the user data _TWICE_ (using HOME + BACK + POWER) with no success. I'm also perfectly able to get into HBOOT (using VOLDOWN + MENU + POWER), and connect via usb (using "FASTBOOT USB" from HBOOT). However, I can't completely wipe the cache with fastboot.exe from the android-sdk, since it doesn't allow it: "erasing 'cache'... FAILED (remote: not allow)".

Finally... I have an unlocked Tattoo, is there a way for me to force-upgrade my firmware to Android 2.0? I'm a developer so I can probably handle the technical magicks, but could you point me to a good source of info on this subject?
First time poster as I'm only just preparing myself for my first Android mobile I'm considering purchasing the HTC Tattoo, but one thing has me worried. In all the reviews I read they note the lack of apps on Android Market for the Tattoo, due to it's lower resolution - is this still an issue? I've read numerous reports stating the issue has been fixed but I'm not quite sure what to believe.
been trying to download and install a couple of apps last night and this afternoon but they are getting stuck on the "starting download screen"? Is this an issue with my device or an android market issue - ive rebooted my phone, cancelled the downloads then restarted but they always get stuck on the "starting download" screen?

Does Tattoo support offline GPS navigation (and if so - can you, please, suggest a app for this). Most of what google has to say about this is related to Google maps (obviously), but it looks like this can't be done there. All of a sudden, yesterday, my apps won't download or update! I hit the update button (or download) and it exits me back into the home of the market place, and I wait. I wait. And I wait. Nothing. I look back on the page and it is stuck on "Starting download..." Also, the "Google Talk" solution won't work for me - Talk just exits back to the home screens when I touch the icon.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust like the topic says. I had Froyo Android 2.2 and did do a successful download to android 2.1 and everything works but the market. Occasionally it will download a app or two but then it just gets stuck and never will download anything. I'm guessing this has something to do with being on 2.2 then downgrading to 2.1. It is a google server issue or something on my phone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason earlier today I was able to update an app then somone made a suggestion to try a keyboard app when I went to download it, it would just keep cycling I tried downloading something completely different and update another app and it's doing the something. I have done a couple of battery pulls, resets, and cleared the data from the app market by going thru setting(googled that one). Does anyone have any suggestions what to do next or what maybe causing it?
