1) I want to Un-root my Magic and I want to know if use the same manual as the G1. (I cannot find any link that explain the Magic all is about G1) 2) After I have the root I would like to install the Rosie in my Magic. Someone can post me a link of it.

I have a serious problem.i brought a htc magic unlocked ,voda phone ,and i have a problem the phone when i connect the usb to my pc don't install on it the phone software,so i cant put any song ,video ,or document on it because i cant do any sync with pc.can someone help me.because first the PC try to search in the Internet for the program of install and then require to me a installation Cd that doesn't exist!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install apk's in my new htc magic I had before a G1 and I didn't found any problem, just doing adb install myapp.apk and that's it now, when I do the same with my htc, it says "error: device not found" Also, I noticed that if I type "adb devices", I dont get any device shown...I have also done the following settings in the mobile, with no luck: settings->applications->unknown sources (checked) settings->applications->development->usb debugging (checked) settings->applications->development->allow mock locations (checked) I know that is not a problem with the usb cable, as I have tried a few of them, including the one that was working with the G1... It could be a problem with the usb drivers, but everything seems fine in my device manager.

Using instructions on android's developer site, I installed eclipse with the right plugins, got created the AVD and wrote my first Hello World app which ran in the AVD. I would now like to install that Hello World app on my HTC Magic, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that. Does anybody have any ideas how I can just get either the blue or pynk android rosie only without changing my taskbar stuff. I have the cool circular battery and a few other stuff that I don't want to change.

Is there any way that i can edit anything in the rosie to use png instead of jpg? I've already tried putting in a png file & making the xml file to refer it but no use..

The 2 biggest issues people were having with 5.4 were:Custom (blue) theme. 5.5 will use a zip-aligned version of stock Rosie (HTC Sense) with the ability to add custom themes via OTA.
Network location fix not working unless GPS was on during boot. This is now supposedly fixed. Other points of interest:Multi-Language (Keyboard Only). Gallery 3D 100% working. The following issues still exist:MMS Issue, (fix is available within the Villain forum).
Split messages (Hotfix coming soon)
No Voicemail indication
Does anyone have any insight on how or even if this could be done. I don't see why it couldn't be done but from what I see it seems pretty locked up and I have nooo idea how to get into it.

I am using one of the ROMS, and I wanted to customize it using the Sense UI bottom bar that has the curved look. If anyone can point me in that direction that would be great.
I tried to pull it from DamageControls ROM, and place it in my other ROM but of course it gets an error as it's unsigned. So i'm hoping there is a signed standalone floating out there.
The HTC magic has following application:
* PDF Viewer
* Word
* Excel
* Capture video or stills
Is possible to install these application on Vodafone Magic or at least the PDF Viewer?
So the other day I went to download an app out of the market. The download finished, but it seems my phone decided to auto-reboot itself in the midst of the installation. After the reboot completes, I go back to the market, reselect the app, and it's hung at "Installing..." (And when I say "hung," the market is still fully functional except that one app). I'm given no option to cancel the installation. Killing the market app then trying to go back in has no effect - same deal. Hung on install. Another reboot didn't help.
Is there any way to delete the install package and make the market forget I even tried in the first place?
It's Angry Birds (wanted to see what all the fuss was about), but the install seems to have failed in a way that any app install could have failed.
I have used Lambrospowers (XDA Forum) Rosie patch to enable drag n drop when in helicopter (leap) view. It works flawlessly on my rooted stock Froyo Desire. If anyone is interested, I will provide more info on how to install the patch and where to d/l it from.My desire is rooted but S-ON and odexed. It only works on rooted phones.I love this feature that only comes on DHD & DZ as part of the new sense 2.0 ui as standard.

Sadly, the Android Market in Canada does not have any paid apps. I was just wondering is there any way I can put themes onto my phone? I find that it really sucks that I can't use any of the dxtop themes or openhome themes in the market unless I actually have the app itself (which I cannot purchase).
View 3 Replies View Relatednew to this site as never had any problems with my magic till today, my 2 year old to my horror threw it against the wall and the battery etc fell out, Fortunatly when i examined it there was no damage screen wasnt cracked or damaged or anything, however since ive turned it back on theres safe mode in transparetn writing at the bottom left of the screen and the touch screen doesnt work and every time i go into a process such as say contacts , i get the 'the process android.process.acore has stopped please try again everything works like i say i can go online but obviously without the use of the touch screen i cant type, nor can i send texts due to the lack of touchscreen so what can i do HELP PLEASE Or do i have to face facts and get in touch with my insurance ?
