Does anyone have any insight on how or even if this could be done. I don't see why it couldn't be done but from what I see it seems pretty locked up and I have nooo idea how to get into it.

The 2 biggest issues people were having with 5.4 were:Custom (blue) theme. 5.5 will use a zip-aligned version of stock Rosie (HTC Sense) with the ability to add custom themes via OTA.
Network location fix not working unless GPS was on during boot. This is now supposedly fixed. Other points of interest:Multi-Language (Keyboard Only). Gallery 3D 100% working. The following issues still exist:MMS Issue, (fix is available within the Villain forum).
Split messages (Hotfix coming soon)
No Voicemail indication
For those making roms for the HTC One series, could you re-re-map the hardware buttons so that the recent apps button pulls up the recent apps (normal ics behavior), and then a long press on the recent apps button maps to the menu button?
My reasoning, is eventually, the "menu" button is something that will get obsoleted, so mapping it as a secondary action (i.e. long press) is a better approach than the current mapping on some of the Roms out there (like cm9). Personally, I'm not a fan of long-presses, so I prefer it for functions I hardly use (like menu).
As for the Gs3, I recommend mapping the 'menu' button to the 'recent apps', and a long press to the menu function (instead of long pressing the home button for recent apps). Again, my reasoning is, when the menu button, eventually gets obsoleted, it becomes pointless having the physical menu button do nothing.
I am on MIUI ROM and I love Xposed ! [emoji5]. But a lot are not totally compatible with MIUI, like mod for remap button...or insert emoticon (emoji) in stock message app. How to manage it ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded and installed the Lock 2.0 free trial program. Upon install, when I clicked on the "Home" button on my Samsung Moment, a pop appeared with 3 choices:
Complete Action Using:
1) Home (go to home)
2) Lock icon (meaning to lock the phone) - also with a warning - do not use this as default - you had (sic) been warned.
3) a checkbox to use either choice 1 or 2 as the default always.
This made me curious. First of all if I accidentally remapped the Home button the Lock app, how would I be able to remap it to the default "Home" action? Looked in settings and do not see how I can remap Home button. I don't like how a 3rd part app can intercept the Home button and yet I can't figure out how to undo the damage if I accidentally remapped the Home button to the 3rd party app. Anyone here know if this is possible to restore the Home button if you mess up and a 3rd party app maps it by default?
I have a galaxy note 2 and I enabled the on screen buttons, disabled the capacitive buttons and would love to remap the hardware home button to open !utter while my on screen buttons work normally fine. Is there anyway I can do this? I have tried button remapper but there's no option for apps only core functions such as home, back, menu, etc.

I just managed to remap my broken power button to my volume up button, so I am able to lock/unlock the screen. The problem is that it's still not possible to turn on the phone with the volumen button (shutdown/run out of battery). I changed the gpio-keys.kl and Generic.kl file for remapping.

This button's placement is absolutely perfect for accidentally pushing it with your thumb or fingers when you're on a call, or when holding the phone in either portrait or landscape mode. I dont use voice control. Even if I did, I'd want it to turn on when I decided to use it. I've searched the Phone Settings; I've searched these forums; I've searched the Android Marketplace. But quick memo is useless for me I'd rather love to start a widget (a tasker task). I tryed several app's and xposed framework modules but I can't get a Widget working with the remapping.

I just installed LauncherPro Beta and I am having some trouble figuring it out. All the HTC stock widgets appear to be gone (such as the clock). Is there any way to get those while using LauncherPro or are they only compatible with Sense?

If anyone is interested, I will provide more info on how to install the patch and where to d/l it from.My desire is rooted but S-ON and odexed. It only works on rooted phones.I love this feature that only comes on DHD & DZ as part of the new sense 2.0 ui as standard.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed Launcher Pro Beta, and am trying to "flavor" up my EVO. I really used the stock sense widgets that toggled 4g, wifi, BT, etc, but am unable to find them with the new home launcher. Am i unable to use the previously installed default widgets with this launcher/home? How about the default weather/clock combo, i can't seem to find a way to add it either. I liked the simple look of the Launcher Pro icons along the bottom, that's all i really wanted changed.
EDIT - Found it, will need Beautiful Widgets or something similar
I installed Open Home this week on my Hero running 1.5. I can't seem to put any of the stock widgets on my Open Home screens. Maybe I'm doing something very stupid, which wouldn't surprise me, but is it possible to use the stock calendar or music widgets?

Does anybody have any ideas how I can just get either the blue or pynk android rosie only without changing my taskbar stuff. I have the cool circular battery and a few other stuff that I don't want to change.

I tried to pull it from DamageControls ROM, and place it in my other ROM but of course it gets an error as it's unsigned. So i'm hoping there is a signed standalone floating out there.
does anyone know if its possible or what app would be used to have the optical button work the same as the power button on the top of the phone. so if you push the button it would light the display up. or maybe its not even possible.

Is there another way to access it so I can text or email by speaking to my phone? Did everyone else have this happen with the stock ROM, or is this a root issue?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the Samsung SGS3 running on ICS and I am looking for a possibility to invoke the stock TW app switcher (the one that appears when you keep the home button pressed) via a homescreen widget/button/whatever.
One of the other launchers I've tried (was it Go launcher or Apex?) had such a button at the homescreen: When pressed, the action launched the app switcher.
While messing around earlier, i figured a few things out. its always bugged me that the Eris didnt have a dedicated Camera button. So i decided to just remap the Search softkey-i rarely use it anyways.
flash from recovery, it works on any rom.
This makes a long press on the Search softkey pull up the Camera. and yes...you can remap other keys to do other things too, but this is just the only one i thought was needed.
