Sep 20, 2009Soon to get the Magic. When you set an Alarm at night for work in the morning, then switch the Phone off, will the Alarm sound in the morning whilst the Phone is off?

Nov 8, 2010I have no sound at all on my X10 mini. I have made sure all the sounds are turned on and turned up, but not even the alarm is working! The only thing that alerts me to a call or message is the vibrate. Music not playing at all. Need help so I can wake up for work in the morning as I need the alarm!

Jun 4, 2010For the past two days my alarm goes off, the phone vibrates, but there's no sound it's only the noise of the vibrate that wakes me up.This is a recent thing, I've checked the volume is up, I don't have a taskiller installed, I've set and reset the alarm sound to go off, but even when I go into settings to change the sound, if I select a new sound it doesn't ring out. However, if I go to change my ringtone, that does make a sound. I've turned the phone on and off, I've deleted and set new alarms to no avail.I just don't get it... can anyone help? Software version is 1.0.0.A6288, firmware 1.5 if that helps. Installed new OS about a month ago.

Aug 17, 2010last night I got tired of waiting for the 2.2 update so I installed unrevoked forever, 2.15 radio and the third wave rom from adrenyline. After all that went smoothly I decided to throw the standard clock undervolt hydra kernel in there too. After I did that I got sporadic reboots and the screen became very unresponsive. Also it seems to cause the phone to freeze whenever it has to wake up to play a notification sound or alarm...
Now I have to say that I had the same problem about a month ago when I tried one of the older Hydra Kernels, but I figured it would be fixed with the newer ones. My question is it seems that I am the only one with problems, all the posts I read about these things are positive with little or no issues. Am I installing it incorrectly somehow? Is anyone else having issues too?
HTC Magic :: Alarm Not Going Off In Morning
Jun 8, 2009I have a HTC Magic with Rogers firmware, and am having problems with the alarm not going off in the morning. I have tried multiple approaches to try to fix it including unplugging the phone from wall, calling my voicemail and then hanging up (suggested on android support), as well as restoring to original settings. The alarm sounded on the first day I got the phone, but has never went off since. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Oct 15, 2009My default Android 1.5 alarm clock didn't work properly. I tried to scheduled an everyday and a pre-scheduled Mon-Fri alarm clock. Looks like the 1st time when I activate my alarm, it worked. But it didn't for the subsequent days.Anybody has any idea what went wrong here? Is there any other alarm clock freeware that could helps?

Dec 3, 2009I noticed this morning that when I already have a new mail notice in the taskbar, all subsequent incoming emails do not activate the alarm (sound+vibration).
Is this normal behaviour? if not, I am running the latest Cyanogen ROM (installed two days ago), can someone using a stock ROM or any other ROM confirm that they also have this problem? I would like to know if this is a problem only on my phone, with Cyanogen's ROM or with Android.
I have Roger's Magic, if it makes a difference.

Nov 25, 2010I just put an mp3 file, that I want to use as an Alarm sound, onto my phone. When I go to choose the alarm sound, all I get is a choice of about 6 quick sounds. I know in some apps, when you start them for the first time it gives you an option to choose what app used to do certain tasks. I might have chosen the wrong option and made it default. How do I reset this?

Aug 16, 2010This morning when my alarm was supposed to go off, it didn't. I happened to wake up. I could see the alarm icon flashing on the screen. Later I set a new alarm and no sound. I tried dialing my phone and got no ring tone. I checked on the settings and everything was correct. No silent mode, etc. So then i shut the phone down and restarted it. Then everything was working fine. But..the alarm sound not working or phone sound not working is not good. You could not tell its not working until its too late.

When the alarm goes off, the song that should play is preceded by a rather annoying alarm bell type noise. After that goes off (which wakes me up in an uncomfortable manner), my song plays immediately following. How do I stop the annoying Alarm sound preceding all of my set alarm ringtones?

Feb 16, 2010There are precious few accessories for the Magic which doesn't bother me too much but I'm surprised that the charging cradles don't have a sound output connector. Is there a technical reason for that? It seems that there are USB cables that can charge and provide a standard audio connector but I'd like to see a cradle do the same so that the phone can stand up nicely at bedside.

Basically I use my phone as an alarm to get up for work. My old Nokia N96 I could set the alarm and then switch the phone off at night and the alarm would still go off on time. This does not seem to be the case with the X10i. It doesn't even go off when the phones in airplane mode which is poor. I just don't want to have to leave my phone on overnight in case it rings and i wake up.
Are there any good alarm apps that allows you to turn the phone off and the alarm would still ring at 6.30 for work?

1 I've activated the security lock (where you join some dots to unlock it). Is there a way to delay the lock activating? If I put my phone down for >1 minute and go straight back to it, I really shouldn't need to go though security, whereas if the phone has been inactive for, say 15 minutes, then going through security makes sense. Is there a way to delay the lock?
2 Is there a way to make the screen stay on when it is charging?
3 Is there a way of cut and pasting from a gmail?
4 Is there a way to make a calendar alarm sound periodically, x number of times?
