HTC Incredible :: How To Change / Set Own Alarm Sound?

I just got this Kaleor alarm clock. It is fantastic, very customizable. I set the alarm ringtone to a song I would like to wake up to. When the alarm goes off, the song that should play is preceded by a rather annoying alarm bell type noise. After that goes off (which wakes me up in an uncomfortable manner), my song plays immediately following. How do I stop the annoying Alarm sound preceding all of my set alarm ringtones?

Is there a way to change basic alarm sound on Incredible? I hate this tone that this phone wakes me up with. Anyway to change it to MP3 that I have on my phone?

Does anyone know the location of the default alarm sounds? I like the one named "light", but I want to extract the file, amplify it, and then put it back. I used to do this with my Env3 phone.

last night I got tired of waiting for the 2.2 update so I installed unrevoked forever, 2.15 radio and the third wave rom from adrenyline. After all that went smoothly I decided to throw the standard clock undervolt hydra kernel in there too. After I did that I got sporadic reboots and the screen became very unresponsive. Also it seems to cause the phone to freeze whenever it has to wake up to play a notification sound or alarm...
Now I have to say that I had the same problem about a month ago when I tried one of the older Hydra Kernels, but I figured it would be fixed with the newer ones. My question is it seems that I am the only one with problems, all the posts I read about these things are positive with little or no issues. Am I installing it incorrectly somehow? Is anyone else having issues too?

Is there a way to change the sound profile from, say, normal to silent without having to go through the menus? In other words, for former Storm users, the way we could click on the speaker to quickly choose profiles.

I cannot change the voicemail notification sound. I go to messages ->settings scroll down to voicemail notification setting and then change the notification sound. But for some reason when I get a voicemail it plays a sound that I selected as notification sound in Sound & Display setting. The same sound that is used for email notification.

Is there a way to have label (or even sender) specific notification new e-mail sounds? I have several filters set up on my gmail account to automatically label and star emails from certain senders. Is there a way to have items labeled "Work" chirp with a different notification sound than other emails?

Just found this out over at the XDA forums, that to change the boot animation and sound, you go to /system/customize/resource/ and it's named VZW_boot animation.zip and for the sound it's named VZW_Droid.zip..

I just put an mp3 file, that I want to use as an Alarm sound, onto my phone. When I go to choose the alarm sound, all I get is a choice of about 6 quick sounds. I know in some apps, when you start them for the first time it gives you an option to choose what app used to do certain tasks. I might have chosen the wrong option and made it default. How do I reset this?

This morning when my alarm was supposed to go off, it didn't. I happened to wake up. I could see the alarm icon flashing on the screen. Later I set a new alarm and no sound. I tried dialing my phone and got no ring tone. I checked on the settings and everything was correct. No silent mode, etc. So then i shut the phone down and restarted it. Then everything was working fine. But..the alarm sound not working or phone sound not working is not good. You could not tell its not working until its too late.

My alarm was working fine now the notification is no longer sounding. All other sounds, sms gmail email etc are ok. If you try and change the sound to a stock sound they don't sound either (so I don't think its to do with the SD card). Any ideas?

I have no sound at all on my X10 mini. I have made sure all the sounds are turned on and turned up, but not even the alarm is working! The only thing that alerts me to a call or message is the vibrate. Music not playing at all. Need help so I can wake up for work in the morning as I need the alarm!

For the past two days my alarm goes off, the phone vibrates, but there's no sound it's only the noise of the vibrate that wakes me up.This is a recent thing, I've checked the volume is up, I don't have a taskiller installed, I've set and reset the alarm sound to go off, but even when I go into settings to change the sound, if I select a new sound it doesn't ring out. However, if I go to change my ringtone, that does make a sound. I've turned the phone on and off, I've deleted and set new alarms to no avail.I just don't get it... can anyone help? Software version is 1.0.0.A6288, firmware 1.5 if that helps. Installed new OS about a month ago.

I'm a long-time PalmOS user (Centro being my last device, but have given up the habit to jump to Android. Anyway, I have a few questions about my Desire (sorry if any of these have already been asked 100s of times!):
1 I've activated the security lock (where you join some dots to unlock it). Is there a way to delay the lock activating? If I put my phone down for >1 minute and go straight back to it, I really shouldn't need to go though security, whereas if the phone has been inactive for, say 15 minutes, then going through security makes sense. Is there a way to delay the lock?
2 Is there a way to make the screen stay on when it is charging?
3 Is there a way of cut and pasting from a gmail?
4 Is there a way to make a calendar alarm sound periodically, x number of times?

I got allot of problems after I updated my hero..No sound on alarm clock.On menu title says Problem loading widget.Internet search in landscape mode, the window jumping up and down then I type.Oh, and the animation when I go from normal to landscape don't work, never did, tried to turn it on, but stil the normal fade thing Solution? My notification and alarm sound has stopped working however when I go to play music off my phone it still works.
I have gone into the Volume section under Sound and tried to mess with the volume levels. When I turn the alarm level up to the highest it can go, instead of playing my alarm sound it plays a very faint beeping noise. When I turn up my notification level it makes a similar beeping noise.

Using the default alarm clock, this morning i noticed my alarm was only vibrating and is no longer playing any sound. Has anyone else had this problem? I have the volume on all other applications turned up, not sure why this is suddenly doing this.
