when I plugged in my HTC Legend as normal into my Macbook Pro, the HTC Legend displays the charge LED, but not the sign in the notification. However, the USB Debugger sign is there. I look on my mac and can not find my HTC Legend anywhere. What's wrong? I've connected it to the same Macbook over 50 times, and it works all fine. I tried plugging back, hoping the USB cable was faulty, and still the same thing!

When it is called it all works correctly. The file is saved and it pops up the chooser. but once you get to the activity you choose, they all pop up a message saying that I can't add that image. Except GMail, it works fine. So what on earth do I do to fix this?
Im also having many problems after update to 2.1.
1. (and most annoying)- Black screen on incoming calls. Phone just freezes on black screen and I just cant answer the phone or do anything else for that matter. Just have to remove the back cover and battery.
2. lot less free memory after the update. using taskkiller but still- even after killing all non-system processes i have about 30MBs less memory
3. google maps, footprints, people, peep, stocks, gmail and some others keep opening by themselves, though ive killed the apps with appkiller.
4. so-many-mentioned lag on making calls. also. every-now-and-then while on call it makes another call to the same person and puts active one on hold...
5. does not recocnise some contacts and just shows their numbers when on in or outgoing call.
I've done several reeboots and also some hard resets on the device but still no use.Seriously concidering switching over to rooted ROM...
Got my legend today and loving it! the only problem i have at the minute is that the 'people' widget doesn't want to find any of my contacts when I search for them.

View 3 Replies View RelatedTried to set an alarm on the default clock app on the Legend. To my surprise, it never went off when it was supposed to. When I tested it I was quite shocked to find that the built-in/default sounds wouldn't play. When it put I enabled the vibrate checkbox, it began to vibrate at the set time but there was no sound. So I downloaded an alarm app from the droid marketplace and it worked fine. Even the default Legend sounds were working in the app. When I went back to the built-in alarm, the sounds started playing normally. Not sure what could've caused this. Could it have something to do with the task-killer?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've only just noticed an issue that after disconnecting from wifi my phone doesn't automatically go back to 3G/2G.
I have to turn the wifi back on and when it can't find one only then does it decide to connect to 3G/2G.
Didn't have this issue before and I'm thinking the latest update (1.31.405.5) has something to do with it.
Anybody else having similar issues?
BTW I'm on the vodafone UK network.
Htc legend doesn't vibrate when i receive sms,even i checked the notification..

It's now version 1.32.161.4 and the root guide at 24/May r4 - HTC Legend rooting guide - Now with 1.31.x - Android @ MoDaCo says 1.31 and below is there any way to downgrade the Legend to what it was before? I think it was 1.21 or 1.23 not sure.

I have a Wi-Fi router D-Link Dir-615. My HTC Legend recognize the router but after enterring the key to unlock the connection, it fails to connect. 2 PC are connected and the HTC touch of my wife too, and all three work fine.

I am pleased with the Legend, but at times things come up that confuse me somewhat. Recently a friend and I were taking photos and I thought it would be interesting to compare camera quality of her BB Curve 8900 with my HTC Legend. Below are the photos.

Is it just me or is something wrong here? (Forgive me naivety!) Also, could it be that I need to fine tune some settings or something? I hope somehow I can improve these shots.. the Legend's assumed superior camera was one of its main attractive characteristics for me!

I wanted to pair it with my new Legend, but for some reason when I press Scan for devices in the Bluetooth setup, my PC shows up, my neighbor's Nokia shows up, but the headset never appears. I thought that Bluetooth devices were pretty universal; shouldn't my Legend see this headset and pair with it without problem?

View 5 Replies View RelatedOn every phone i have had for many years now, pushing any of the buttons whilst the phone's screen is off activates the screen briefly (usually just showing the clock or prompting for the screen unlock). This is both useful for ensuring the phone is switched on but is just as useful for ensuring the phone is switched off (night, meetings, flights, cinema etc).
The only way of activating the screen to check the Legend's on/off status appears to be to push the power button. However, if the phone is off, this simply switches the phone on! This strikes me as being a completely daft design decision.
So, is there any way of checking that a Legend is off without switching it on and then off again?
(Yes, i know there are silent, flight safe, meeting and other modes...)
i have a problem where the touch is not recognized at all, i don't know if the event is evening happening or not, or its an error with my display. My program as of now contains 4 classes
1 - the main activity class
2 - the draw class(simple draw everything)
3 - Character class, (problem is here)
4 - Sprite class, for simple animation
Everything is working fine including the animation, but for some reason the touch is not working, here my code

The set up and style of the class is really bad, but i amjust getting started and ran into this problem.
I've had no really problem and i had the phone since it was brought out..on TMobile in the uk. A couple of months a go i connected the phone to my pc to up load some pics and the windows message came up saying"USB Device Not Recognized".I couldn't get it to connect for weeks, then out of the blue it did.A week ago i got an system update (2.1, if not how do i do this??)through the phone and not it won't connect again?

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe USB connection was working fine. A couple of days ago, I wanted to try to send a FAX. I connected the phone to my computer and set it to PC Mode on the connection menu. The modem wasn't recognized. Ever since then, my pc won't recognize the phone. I have done battery pulls, pc reboots, driver uninstall and reinstalls. Occasionally, it will recognize the phone. I have put the phone back into mass storage mode. Any ideas. I don't know if I can return this, since it is a dealer plan phone, not from Verizon. It's not a deal-breaker, just a pain when I need to transfer photos or videos.

Pluged phone into usb and nothing, all i get is a windows message saying device drivers could not be installed properley, then usb device not recognized. Have uninstalled and reinstalled software and that hasnt helped. Also when i do plug phone into the usb, absolutely nothing happens on my hero. Please help as i have been waiting ages for the windows 7 sync software to come out as i couldnt get my head round the old work around, and want to start getting the full benifits from my hero.
