I have a Virgin Mobile HTC Legend. My Contact list is synced with my Facebook, but for some reason, only 502 out of 506 of my friends show up on my phone. I've tried deleting the Facebook account and then re-logging in. The people show up fine in the Facebook app under friends, but when you view Facebook contact through People, 4 are missing.

I got my DroidX on 7/15 and on 7/16 linked all my phone contacts who have facebook to a facebook contact via social networking. I kike how the phone sets the picture, I like that in the contact entry it shows me thier status on facebook. What I don't like is that when I open up a contac that is both a phone contact and a facebook contact and I tap the facebook icon on the contact screen I get 3 options (view profile, write on wall, and poke). If I open up a contact that is only facebook and tap that same Icon I get 4 options (view profile, message, write on wall, and poke). Is there some reason linking the facebook contact to a phone contact needs to remove that option? I'd like to be able to send a facebook message from the phone to any contact as easy as I can send a text message.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I synced facebook contacts, I had a handful of contacts that duplicated, meaning there was the facebook info and their info from my regular contacts list. In each case, I selected the entry that did not have the facebook info and chose to delete that entry. When I did that, for some reason the entry with the facebook info is the one that disappeared. So, I just deleted the other contact entry too. Then when I added the contact back in, facebook wouldn't sync with it. So now, even though these contacts DO have a facebook account and are still listed as my friends, facebook will not sync with those contacts. I even tried the option of syncing ALL facebook friends and the handful of friends I did this with will not come back. Anyone experience this? If you delete a contact with facebook info once, is it impossible to sync back the facebook option?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy son got an HTC Legend a few months ago & didn't register his Google account. In order to do so now he has to do a factory reset. Unfortunately, a lot of his contacts are stored on the phone & there's no room on the Sim for them. He tried downloading My Backup via the internet to move them to the SD card but the app requires a Google account which he can't register until he's done the factory reset. Are there any apps or tricks available to move his contacts to the SD card that don't require him deleting them in the first place to do it, or is he going to have to buy a pen & paper?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought an HTC Legend last week and i'm very happy with it... but one thing really bothers me: For certain people I add in the People app ... as soon as I save them into a category ("Co-worker" for example), they will dissapear from my general list. And if I remove them from that list, I can't find them unless I search for their name?!? Is there like a "hide" thing that I checked by mistake?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIve not found any specific in depth instructions with my phone so here goes my question...I have managed to sync al my email gmail facebook and phone contacts to my handset, I want to put my contacts (mainly phone numbers) into groups so its easier to group SMS people etc, when i try to add contacts to a group it only seems to come up with my Gmail added Email addresses, i have gone into the relevant menu and selected display phone contacts only (or something similar) and re tried but still i am getting just my Gmail addresses as the only option to add to groups. Any help would be greatly appreciated and im sorry if its blurringly obvious!

Using sim free HTC Legend (not rooted or anything).
I haven't been using the Facebook app since the version 1.3.2 battery issue, but I've noticed that recently it's been updated to 1.4.1. So I thought I'd give it another try, and they seem to have fixed the battery issue which is great, but I'm now missing notifications (i.e. when you tap the blue bar at the bottom you get a list of comments people have made either after your comments, or on your photos and things). For example, this morning I had 8 notifications on the app, but when I checked the mobile site there were two that hadn't pushed through to the facebook app. Anyone else get this? I have the feeling I'm missing a really simple setting somewhere.

Just happened a few days ago, where one of my contacts on my phone from Gmail that was linked to Facebook all of a sudden is unlinked. When I tried to relink to fix it, the contact doesn't appear on the list to link. Going into the Facebook app, the contact is listed there. Anyone run into this or have any idea how to fix? Tried a reset already, after backing up apps/messages.

I see the Facebook app in system, I can update it and start it from a third party (e.g. Play Store) but am unable to find the app itself and make shortcuts for it. I tried uninstalling (it does so only with the updates, it won't erase the app itself because it is integrated with the Jelly Bean), reinstalling (again, only applies to the updates), trying to find its shortcuts in home screens and main menu.

When messaging friends who have iPhones, often they send emoticons which appear as blank rectangles in my Android version of.Facebook Messenger.
I've looked at a friend's iPhone and their Messenger app has way more emoticons than my phone. Is there a way to enable the missing icons, or a plugin I can use to give me a better selection?I know this is a minor annoyance, but it's an annoyance nonetheless.

I've noticed that one of my friends on their contact picture has lost the little Facebook icon overlay and that syncing with Facebook wont bring it back.
Their contact picture has been replaced by another blurry pixellated picture.
Further to this, I notice that the actual contact picture in Facebook for HTC Sense is borked and pixellated. Anyone seen anything like this before?

View 19 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with Facebook application (not Facebook for HTC Sense - I want to avoid using this one) and the way it syncs peoples' pictures in the contact list. The problem is that some of the pictures are missing. I know for sure these persons have profile pictures set, but for some reason my Facebook app doesn't sync them. I double checked the "Link" menu, it shows that the phone book entry is indeed linked with a facebook account. The picture dropdown list also shows an empty person outline next to "Facebook".
I'm using Virtuous Affinity ROM 2.05 on HTC T-Mobile G2.
Having all my facebook contacts who have their mobile nos on their profile coming up in my contacts and all the ones with their birthdays coming up in my calendar. Any idea how I can stop this because it's annoying having all this info I don't want amongst the stuff I do.

When I logged into all of my accounts the contacts came over and auto linked to Facebook...this is fine, but the Google contacts with phone numbers are being hidden by the Facebook contact info and not showing their phone number. Is there a fix for this? Do I have to sign out of my Facebook account to see phone numbers?

The new version of facebook app in the market place is missing options ? I was having lunch today with a buddy and we were looking over my Desire and his Iphone and was looking at the facebook app. He gets chat and a option called Places? I wonder why we do not get that in our app they should be the same or ours should just be better .

Otherwise, the contact on my phone from Facebook may be, and in many cases is, missing lots of relevant information. For example, many people don't keep their full address, or their phone number, on Facebook. If this is so, then no phone number or address is stored on my phone for the many friends who got in my contact list via the Facebook Motoblur magic. I can update these manually, via the phone screen-keyboard, but I would like to use the much easier-to-access PC to gmail user interface. But alas, I cannot, as all of these Facebook contacts don't show up on the gmail list at all.

I opened the FB app from my Rezound (ICS) and looked at the settings. The "Sync Contacts" option is set to "Don't sync"
Then I looked in the Android Settings --->Accounts&sync--->facebook where there are three boxes, sync calendar, sync contacts, and sync live feed. I made sure all those boxes are unchecked.
I figured I'd just try deleting FB from my Rezound but it seems to be undeletable if that's a word. It's like standard bloatware that I actually use on occasion.
So why are my FB contacts still merged with my Google contacts? I am seeing my contacts with their FB photo and this drives me crazy. I don't want FB communicating with my address book. Gingerbread didn't do this.
