View 14 Replies View RelatedWhat is the best program or hack to increase headset volume on the EVO. I have bose headphones and the volume is still too low.
View 16 Replies View RelatedAfter the last firmware update the sound was pretty low,so i wanted to increase the volume... tried the volume hack but it did not increase the headphone volume, only the handset volume..... this is kinda a hardware fix...
Do this at your own risk
first close musi app
then open dailer an type :
*#197328640#*
This will open service mode
here click [8] audio
then click [2] headset
then click [2] rx value
then click [5] rx codec for midi
then click [1] rx codec gain:
Then pres menu key, key input, and type in 5fff , this increases the gain to about 4db,wich is in my opinion the best option. after u inputed the value pres menu key and select end. no restart needed, just open music player and press play and you will see the differences. I was about to sell my i7500 because of lack of headphone volume but now im happy...i think this will work with i5700 and moment, haven;t tried it though!
Still debating on which phone to buy. With the droid x the major concern is soft volume (some phones seem softer than others); rumors of over heating and wifi issues.
Is there a known hack to fix the volume issue; or has Motorola ack the issue and have publically indicated a fix is in the works? Next weekend is no-tax weekend (in Ma) so I might try to pick a phone up then...
I'm pretty sure the wifi issue is a firmware problem (shame on moto for using an encrypted boot loader and having bugs like this one); not sure if overheating is limited to a few phones or is a design issue.
Anyways please add comments (negative and positive) relative to alternatives (samsung s and evo are major contenders). With the samsung the major negative is it pauses now and then and also have soft volume (there is a fix for the gps issue); for evo the major negative is +$10 and poor battery life (this phone is nice and loud) also the display is a bit dimmer than the droid x (an issue for outdoor usage).
Doing the volume increment/steps modification on their Nexus 5 yet.I have followed this method that I found here :[URL]everything went smooth.
I got the framework.jar using BakSmali
edited the AudioService.smali file
generated classes.dex
merge classes.dex with framework.jar using 7-zip
push new framework.jar to my nexus5
change permission on framework.jar
I change the AudioService.smali so i can have 30 steps instead of the default 15 steps. The following is what i have after modifications.
.line 205
:array_2c
.array-data 0x4
0x5t 0x0t 0x0t 0x0t
0x7t 0x0t 0x0t 0x0t
0x7t 0x0t 0x0t 0x0t
0x1Et 0x0t 0x0t 0x0t
0x7t 0x0t 0x0t 0x0t
[code].....
Note that 0x1Et should give me 30 steps but my nexus 5 still only give me 15 steps on Music/Bluetooth.
Results:
I am still getting 15 steps while listening to music on both headphone jacks and Bluetooth devices.
I double check the total number of steps with some apps and confirmed that the original 15 was not changed.
I also double check if my framework.jar are pushed correctly by re-pulling the framework.jar and looking into the AudioServices file and they are all the newly modded values.
Just wondering...How soon can Incredible users hack phones and install Froyo?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI noticed this under the Incredible Wikipedia page the other day as a "tip" for improving call quality;
- Go to Phone and Dial ##778
- Choose Edit Mode
- Password is 000000
- Go to CDMA Settings
- Scroll all the way to bottom
- Change Home Page, Home Orig, and Roam Orig from option EVRC to EVRC-B
- Hit Menu and Commit Changes
- Phone reboots
I don't know if it's from some app I installed or what. But I noticed recently that suddenly the volume rocker only controls the Media Volume or the In-call volume (if you're in a call), not the Ringer Volume. I don't have anything playing, so not sure why it's like that. I want it to default to ringer and I'll worry about Media when I'm actually in a program that uses it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy dad somehow changed his volume control, so it only affects the media volume. Any clue on how to change it back? Instead of Ringer Volume, it says Media Volume on the box that pops up when pressing the volume controls.
View 2 Replies View Relatedonce we get root and install the recovery tool, we'll never have to go through the loop process again to get into recovery. I feel like that's a major newb question but just wanted to make sure. If that's the case, can somebody list or point me to the procedure to do the wireless N hack using the recovery tool? Just read in the thread below how some users might be having problems with wireless teather after doing the "N" hack. If this is the case, perhaps it's best to skip it altogether.
View 8 Replies View RelatedId love to see how it feels to instantly get "leap view" w/ one hit of the home button. I find it hella annoying that i have to go to the main home screen before i can go to the on that i want.
Don't know if this can be don't w/out Root. Hopefully, one of us knows of an app that can do it already.
Or maybe someone can code/hack it. just reverse the order. make one tap go to leap view, and two taps go to main home.
Just got a Jawbone icon. Paired fine, A2DP works. However, the volume for both phone calls and music is too low, even with phone and icon settings at max.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMedia volume is too low on my HTC Incredible, even if turned all the way up. My ringer volume seems just fine though. After reading several posts for other android phones it seems the suggested route is to restore the phone to its original settings. I would rather not lose everything I've installed on my phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy media volume is always muted right now, even after I go into settings and increase the volume and accept, I'll go right back and the volume bar is back at mute.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any app that will up the volume of the ringtones, notifications etc?? Sometimes I just dont hear my phone ringing in my pocket.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI work in a shop and it tends to be loud so i don't always hear my phone ring, or hear my notifications. Is there an app or a way to make the volume louder besides the side volume buttons etc... Also i don't want to blow the speaker on the phone either.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to lower or turn off the phone dialer volume independently of the ringer volume?(the beeps that you get as you dial a phone number)
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'd like to make the mp3 files I've uploaded on the phone from Itunes LOUDER, *without* having to buy a several hundred dollar computer program.
I've noticed that the songs which were pre-loaded on the phone are louder than the ones I've uploaded from itunes. If it isn't a techno/hiphop song (and I listen to classical mostly) I can hardly hear the tracks when I'm walking around town, even with noise-cancelling headphones. I never had this problem with the iPhone, so this is a little frustrating.
Is there a way to change the percentage that the volume goes up by for media? While I am at work the lowest setting is too soft and the next one up is too loud and I cant hear whats going on around me.I know its most likely my headphones but if there is a way to do this that would help.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe volume button won't turn the volume up but you can turn it down. i took it to verizon and they ordered another one, should be here Wednesday so thats good. anyone else have this problem? they said at the store that this is the first they've seen with the volume button. i think it may be due to the verizon silicone case and the how the volume button is covered, maybe we've been mashing down on it too hard? either way its getting replaced so I'm happy. on another note on that same phone friendstream won't load, it keeps force closing everytime you try to open it. anyone had this problem?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI searched online and tried fooling around with the phone forever, but was wondering why the side volume controls control the media volume and not the ringer volume when on the main screen. Any idea if there is a way to switch this? Like I am at work and just want to lower the volume I have to dig into the settings for ringer volume and wish I can just do it from the main screen by using the side buttons.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSorry if this has been posted before, I'm new to this site, but does anybody else think the volume on the inc is just too low? I keep the volume all the way up, but when I'm in my car or just outside with other surrounding noises, I just cant really hear it. It's useless to even put the ringer volume halfway or less, you could barley hear it at all. Is it just me or does anybody else have this problem?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm writing an Android application that plays back voice mails using Media Player, which are just WAV files that have been sent to the device. When I play the file, it's played on the device's speaker, or else it plays through headphones if they're plugged in. What I want to do is play the file so that it sounds to the user as if it's at the same volume level as a normal phone call. Is there a way to route playback so that the file is played through the phone's ear piece instead of out of the speaker?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to disable the volume control button as it works on the ringer volume? I use locale, but I bump those buttons often enough and turn the ringer off completely.
View 27 Replies View RelatedRecently purchased the Virgin Mobile Supreme (Sprint Vital, ZTE N9810). The one thing that is bothering me is that there is only one volume setting for the combined ringtone and notifications. I would like to set these volumes separately.
I tried one volume control tool, but even though it had 'separate' controls changing ringtone changed notification and vice versa.
I want to set my phone to ring only. I don't want any other notifications (text, email, etc.) to make any noise or vibrate. No matter what I do, when I set the Ringer Volume the Notification Volume gets set to the same value.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anybody know of any app that will allow the headset volume control to work with the HTC inc? I just bought the Klipsch Image S4i headphones with the mic and remote. It was designed for the ipone but I thought it would work for this phone also. The pause and play work, and even answering the phone works. Although all of those are the same button.
I can skip forward, depending on the media player I am using, but the volume controls do not work. Does anybody know of any good apps that fix this problem? Maybe a iphone volume control app or something like it? I did find this app (Headset volume control): But it is $3, I don't know much about it and there isn't even any comments left by anyone.
I've had my phone a few days and have noticed a crackling when making regular calls at anything above around 65% volume. This seems to happen only on louder parts of speech. It's pretty frustrating when I'm in public and need the volume louder.
