HTC Incredible :: Bluetooth Volume Low
May 8, 2010Just got a Jawbone icon. Paired fine, A2DP works. However, the volume for both phone calls and music is too low, even with phone and icon settings at max.

HTC Incredible :: Call Volume Stuck On High After Bluetooth
Jun 12, 2010I've noticed times when my in-call volume is stuck on high even when turned all the way down to the lowest setting. I traced this to having previously connected to a bluetooth device for phone use (this happens with two different bluetooth accessories). After disconnecting from bluetooth (whether or not the bluetooth antenna is also turned off), call volume is extremely loud and doesn't respond to the volume-down key. I have to reset the phone to get it back to normal. Anyone else notice this? Any fix for this? I presume this is a bug in the Android 2.1 OS. BTW--this also happens with a friend's Eris running a 2.1 leak v3.

Apr 30, 2010I don't know if it's from some app I installed or what. But I noticed recently that suddenly the volume rocker only controls the Media Volume or the In-call volume (if you're in a call), not the Ringer Volume. I don't have anything playing, so not sure why it's like that. I want it to default to ringer and I'll worry about Media when I'm actually in a program that uses it.

May 5, 2010My dad somehow changed his volume control, so it only affects the media volume. Any clue on how to change it back? Instead of Ringer Volume, it says Media Volume on the box that pops up when pressing the volume controls.

Aug 5, 2010I have a BlueAnt ST3 and the volume is great when you hear the callers voice or it says "connected to phone", etc. But the volume coming from the voice of the Evo bluetooth asking me to speak now or verifying my caller choice is very low. I have looked in the bluetooth settings but don't see anything related to volume. Is this just the way it is? If not, has someone figured how to increase the phone volume without increasing the overall volume of the phone (media vol, ringer vol, etc).

May 8, 2010I just bought a Behold 2 and was trying to use my plantronics 520 headset, but I turned it up all the way and it wasn't very loud and the person that I was talking to said he was hearing static. I have been using this headset with my Blackberry 8900 with no problems. Is this a software problem? May be when we get upgraded to 2.0 or 2.1 this will be fixed? or should I try something else? anyone know what works best with this phone?

Mar 14, 2013I have hearing aids and a bluetooth device called an ICOM that connects my phone to my hearing aids. I wear it around my neck and the wire around my neck connects to the hearing aids It is great for my end of the conversation, I actually hear the phone inside my ears! The problem I am having is the ICOM output is too loud or the microphone is too sensitive. People talking to me say they hear a lot of background noise. If I have the TV on it overwhelms the conversation. The same with wind noise in the car! Is there any way to turn down the incoming bluetooth audio? I looked for an app that would do this but did not find anything! The ICOM is made by Phonak and they tell me there is no way to turn down the audio sensitivity or the audio from the little box to my telephone!

Oct 30, 2013Google's free navigation used to be a selling point for the OS, but it currently has some issues. Prior to Android 2.3, there used to be separate volume levels for media and navigation. However, these got combined into media so you can no longer tweak your navigation volume independent of your music. The end result is that the only way to make navigation audible in the car is to have the stereo volume at a level that would cause the music volume to bother many people (I usually drive with two toddlers in my car).
But there's another thing that I noticed. Switching between Bluetooth output to line output (the car's AUX input) has an effect on volume, but not one that makes sense. Music played through Google Music (and other media players, including PowerAMP) is louder over Bluetooth. I have to have the volume at 2 bars in my Fusion on Bluetooth to match the music volume set at 4 bars on line out. But here's the weird thing, navigation volume is not effected. It sounds the same on both, meaning that it suddenly becomes audible on line out.
Android is doing something weird where it amplifies music over Bluetooth, but not other sounds. As it stands, Bluetooth is more convenient, but it makes turn-by-turn navigation more difficult.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Bluetooth Audio - Volume Low
Jul 1, 2010My X10i has really low audio volume when using my bluetooth headset. The same headset when paired with my old trusty Sony Ericsson K610i worked fine. I have also tried with a Sony Ericsson Elm and that was ok. Is there anyway to increase the volume on the X10i? Any SW patches, apps or tweaks?

The microphone volume of my Bluetooth headset is on the low side. It's the same headset I used with my previous Windows Mobile phone and in that configuration I had no problems. I paired a different Bluetooth headset with the Desire, but no luck... the volume is still to low. The volume of the build-in mic is ok.
Does anybody know what I can do to increase the mic volume? Settings? App?

Dec 17, 2009I call internationally on calling cards A LOT (gv to those countries is 2x more expensive). Because of the calling card, sound quality and volume already takes a hit. Translation from a non-native language is more difficult over the phone, and damned near impossible for me if I can't hear them CLEARLY and LOUDLY. Same goes for the party at the other end if my microphone is sub-par.
Can anyone recommend a Bluetooth headset that works well with the droid and has AMAZING call clarity, quality, and good volume? Aesthetics are unimportant, I don't care what it looks like or how big it is. It just need to sound loud, clear, and have a good mic. It also needs to be comfortable because it will get used 1-2 hours EVERY day.
Bonus points if its stereo and supports A2DP audio, as getting one of those for music listening is also on the shopping list... but I'm perfectly willing to get two separate units if I need to.
Sprint HTC Hero :: In Call Bluetooth Volume Issue - Samsung WEP870
Feb 1, 2010I just got a Samsung WEP870 bluetooth headset. I really like the headset and its features, however when I have it paired with my Sprint HTC Hero the volume performance isn't very good. I have to turn the volume all the way up on the phone and the headset, and can still barely hear the person I'm talking to. Anyone else having this issue with other headsets? I don't have another headset to compare the Samsung to.

May 12, 2010Media volume is too low on my HTC Incredible, even if turned all the way up. My ringer volume seems just fine though. After reading several posts for other android phones it seems the suggested route is to restore the phone to its original settings. I would rather not lose everything I've installed on my phone.

Aug 25, 2010I'd like to make the mp3 files I've uploaded on the phone from Itunes LOUDER, *without* having to buy a several hundred dollar computer program.
I've noticed that the songs which were pre-loaded on the phone are louder than the ones I've uploaded from itunes. If it isn't a techno/hiphop song (and I listen to classical mostly) I can hardly hear the tracks when I'm walking around town, even with noise-cancelling headphones. I never had this problem with the iPhone, so this is a little frustrating.

May 29, 2010The volume button won't turn the volume up but you can turn it down. i took it to verizon and they ordered another one, should be here Wednesday so thats good. anyone else have this problem? they said at the store that this is the first they've seen with the volume button. i think it may be due to the verizon silicone case and the how the volume button is covered, maybe we've been mashing down on it too hard? either way its getting replaced so I'm happy. on another note on that same phone friendstream won't load, it keeps force closing everytime you try to open it. anyone had this problem?

Any idea if there is a way to switch this? I keep the volume all the way up, but when I'm in my car or just outside with other surrounding noises, I just cant really hear it. When I play the file, it's played on the device's speaker, or else it plays through headphones if they're plugged in. Is there a way to route playback so that the file is played through the phone's ear piece instead of out of the speaker?

I tried one volume control tool, but even though it had 'separate' controls changing ringtone changed notification and vice versa.

Jun 26, 2010Does anybody know of any app that will allow the headset volume control to work with the HTC inc? I just bought the Klipsch Image S4i headphones with the mic and remote. It was designed for the ipone but I thought it would work for this phone also. The pause and play work, and even answering the phone works. Although all of those are the same button.
I can skip forward, depending on the media player I am using, but the volume controls do not work. Does anybody know of any good apps that fix this problem? Maybe a iphone volume control app or something like it? I did find this app (Headset volume control): But it is $3, I don't know much about it and there isn't even any comments left by anyone.
