sometimes i just want to unplug my phone after it is done charging without turning it on. 90% of the time it turns on after i unplug it, is there any way to avoid this?

So, I'm supposed to charge to 100%, then unplug, then re-plug and charge some more?
So after rooting my phone. Couple days later i had it charging and decided to turn off my phone and before I knew it. It automatically turn itself back on? Y is that? I am using bb 0.4 p3 kernel 1.0 on blue energy theme.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWell so after a cross country meet I had my Droid 2 in my backpack and I was going to call my dad. It wouldn't turn on, so I thought that it was just because my battery died. When I got home the next day, I charged it for a while and then turned it on, but it still wouldn't charge. I'm thinking that it is dead, but the charger is messed up because I didn't see anything on the Droid that was blinking, so I think that means its not charging. Can someone please help me?

They said there wasn't a hot ticket about this issue and offered me a replacement battery. I suggest everyone call them and let them know this is problem. 8664498358 I refused the battery as I do not believe it is the issue. I told the rep that I just wanted to make the issue known. I suggested everyone call to let them know there are several people with this problem, not so you can try to get a free battery. I also called Verizon to order a spare battery, then I ordered a separate battery charger from fommy.com to deal with this issue until it is fixed. Shame on you to those who thought they could "steal" a battery from HTC.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust wanted to get some opinions here about my battery performance to help determine if it's defective and to see if I should return the phone for a new one.Whenever I charge my phone, it gets all the way up to 100% (obviously), but after I unplug the phone the battery will drop down to around a 90% charge level 5 minutes after unplugging it. And that's with no usage at all. I simply unplug it, turn off the screen, and stick it in my pocket. Mobile network is enabled, but bluetooth, wifi, and gps are all off and I don't have any crazy apps running that are draining the battery. Within an hour (with little or no use), the battery will then usually be in the 75% range, sometimes a little lower. I don't think I've made it past 11 or 12 hours yet without the battery dying, even though my usage is pretty light. Any ideas on what is going on? Do you think the battery is just a junky one or is this normal behavior for the phone?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've looked and haven't found anything similar. I use the HTC widgets to turn WiFi, GPS, and Mobile Network on and off for when I'm at home (WiFi) and out (GPS and 3G on).
I've noticed several times that, although the switches are in the right positions, when I'm out I have no data connection. No 3G in the status bar either. When I reboot the phone everything is fine, so it's not the area I'm in. Any ideas?
Is it just me or did the OTA update cause this? My phone often charges to 100% and I don't see that despicable message (not that I miss it).

Each time I want to install the new version of the app on the device I need to connect it, enable USB Debugging, install the app, disable USB Debugging, unplug the device (optional). I was wondering if it was safe to just unplug the device without disabling USB Debugging. After all, the device is not mounted, right? But there is the adb, talking to it. It would be much more convenient to be able to do that. Does anyone know if it is safe or unsafe?

Not only is this unpleasant when I have the phone to my ear, but it's also an annoyance to the person I'm talking to as they hear the vibrate sounds. In fact any time I'm talking to my girlfriend and my phone vibrates, she asks "who is texting you now?" I really just want the notification turned off while I'm on a call. View 5 Replies View RelatedI was charging my incredible today and after a few hours I noticed the red led light blinking. Thinking it was a missed call I picked it up and noticed it was really hot! I have battery snap app and when I checked the status it said the battery was overheating. I had it plugged into the wall charger that came with the phone. Is this normal? It wasn't charging that long...maybe 4 or 5 hours. I'm worried about leaving my phone on the charger at night time (which is usually when I charge my phones). Does the standard charger not have one of those chips that keeps the battery from over charging? Also, when I took the phone off the charger after noticing it was hot, the battery widget said it dropped from 100% to about 90% after only 10 min. Did I screw up my battery? If so, please tell me it's covered under the insurance.

I'm not sure if this is worth complaining about but is anybody else experiencing their phone waking up on its own while it's connected to the charger? I'm not sure when it started exactly but I'm sure it was after I updated to OTA 2.2.It's not hot or does anything else just that the screen turns on, stays on for like 2 seconds, and than the screen turns off. It seems to occur randomly. Is anybody else having this issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my DINC via USB to my computer, the computer does not recognize my phone, there is no option for charge or disk drive like there used to be, it just starts charging, but the USB icon which used to appear in the task bar does not appear. I also have the setting set to "ask me every time I connect" on my phone, I have played around with this setting to no avail. The phone also does not appear in My Computer. I have changed USB ports and cables, and my computer recognizes every other device I have, so it is only a problem with recognizing my phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with my HTC Droid Incredible. When going to Settings>Wireless and networks and looking under Mobile Network, it says "Turning on." However, it stays in that mode and never "turns on."Things I have tried
1. Restart the phone/taking the battery out
2. Reset the phone to factory settings by going to Privacy in Settings
3. Contact Verizon and have them remove and re-add the data plan
I have noticed that, when I call *228, and try to activate the phone, it says an error occurred and it could not activate the phone. I can make phone calls from the phone, but cannot do anything that requires a data plan, meaning that it is an issue with that. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?
I see another thread on Locale, but it seems to be focused on it technical shortcomings. I thought a thread about how people are using this app would be helpful.
Now... I use Locale for the following:
- Turning the ringer down when I get to work (obviouse one)
- Turning GPS/Bluetooth/wifi on when I plug it in the phone (think car dock)
- Turn on Wifi when I get near my known hot spots.
- Turn off GPS/Bluetooth/wifi off and turn down brightness when my battery is low.
And the last one is a good one for me...
- I have a GV number. When I call my phone from that number, it turns the ringer volume all the way up and it turns on wifi and GPS. This is my "lost phone aid". It turns on the locating features so I can see where the phone is using iGoogle and Latitude, and I can hear the phone if it is "in the cushions" on vibrate.

I try to wait until my phone tells me my battery is low to charge.When I went to bed last night, my phone still had 1/2 the battery life left so I did not bother to plug it in.When I got up and went to use my phone,it had shut off during the night.Like any normal person I tried to charge it- no luck.The phone would not charge and would not turn on.I removed the battery and replaced it.Luckily it turned back on and I still had 1/3 of my battery life left.Has anyone else had this issue?It has randomly rebooted, but I've never encountered this before where the phone just shut down completely into a hard lock.Anyone else? What did you do?Did you have it replaced?
