Only charging from a USB from computer, but not off wall power cord. Anyone have an idea why this would be happening?
Also, if I turn the phone off and plug it in the wall power cord, the phone will turn on Automatically, but not charge.

When I make a call, the screen comes off.
I've noticed two things..
if i have the headset plugged into my phone, the screen wont go off
also, if i go under the sun-yes, the sun light, i can see the screen
any recommendations/suggestions on why this is happening?
So I go to use my phone to pull up an app and hit the home screen and it starts scrolling between 3 or 4 different screens without me even touching the phone. It did it for about 10 seconds then stopped, then started doing it again, all the while I haven't touched the phone.
So I thought maybe it was a rogue app I installed so I got to delete the last few I installed and when I hit the uninstall button it is highlighted green like I am pressing it, but I got it to uninstall. Then when I go to hit the 'OK' button after the install it wouldn't let me because the button was highlighted green.
Strange I thought.
Is this a software issue, a rogue app issue, or what?
Wow what a difference. I have the 2150 battery Turned on, fully charged. 9 hours idle. 7 of 10 bars power. turned off, fully charged. Turn on. 9 hours idle. 10 of 10 bars power.

I checked the charger to make sure that it was plugged into the utility plug. Then as soon as I exited the GPS on my phone it began to charge. How can I keep the phone charging while using my GPS?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy HTC Hero keeps crashing and not sure what the heck is going on. It happens when I am in the middle of a phone call. It just locks up and can not do anything about it. I have to take the back off and remove the battery. Then I replace the battery and power on the Android logo comes up but the little robot doesn't. I have to then take the battery out again and redo the power cycle.
Does anyone have ANY idea why this happening?
I was charging my incredible today and after a few hours I noticed the red led light blinking. Thinking it was a missed call I picked it up and noticed it was really hot! I have battery snap app and when I checked the status it said the battery was overheating. I had it plugged into the wall charger that came with the phone. Is this normal? It wasn't charging that long...maybe 4 or 5 hours. I'm worried about leaving my phone on the charger at night time (which is usually when I charge my phones). Does the standard charger not have one of those chips that keeps the battery from over charging? Also, when I took the phone off the charger after noticing it was hot, the battery widget said it dropped from 100% to about 90% after only 10 min. Did I screw up my battery? If so, please tell me it's covered under the insurance.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow come some of my contacts phone numbers are appearing all screwed up.In one part of the system they show up as 01######### etc, in another area they show up as 44######### but on Google they show up as 01 or +44 depending on the number but never without the + on the 44.Mainly on the mobiles they will not dial even though I have just texted the same number as the contact shows up correctly. If I try to phone the contact from Contacts I get a number incorrect message but if I phone from the sms I can call them?This has only happened since upgrading to 2.1 Orange carrier.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is worth complaining about but is anybody else experiencing their phone waking up on its own while it's connected to the charger? I'm not sure when it started exactly but I'm sure it was after I updated to OTA 2.2.It's not hot or does anything else just that the screen turns on, stays on for like 2 seconds, and than the screen turns off. It seems to occur randomly. Is anybody else having this issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my DINC via USB to my computer, the computer does not recognize my phone, there is no option for charge or disk drive like there used to be, it just starts charging, but the USB icon which used to appear in the task bar does not appear. I also have the setting set to "ask me every time I connect" on my phone, I have played around with this setting to no avail. The phone also does not appear in My Computer. I have changed USB ports and cables, and my computer recognizes every other device I have, so it is only a problem with recognizing my phone.

I found this out cause i will eventually get a notice that says "cant open anymore windows". Its only this one site that does it so far. Its not a chance occurence either as it ALWAYS does it.

So, I'm supposed to charge to 100%, then unplug, then re-plug and charge some more?
Here is a little trick I discovered recently. If you have a later model BMW with the USB port that you would either plug in the iPod connector or a USB stick, if you plug your Incredible in you will be able to charge that phone through the port, negating the need for a separate cigarette lighter charger. This may work on other cars with a USB port, but your mileage may vary.Additionally, you could set up your music folder and playlists directory on the Incredible's internal storage to use it for music playback. Unfortunately on my 2008 X5 with the "single button" iDrive, it only reads the internal storage memory, and not the SD card.

Phone on for 9 hours
About 30 text messages
60 minutes of phone conversations
About 50 minutes total on internee
About 45 minutes setting up my screens and moving apps around
After this the battery goes DEAD!!! Just does not seem right. Should I expect an improvement after a few more charges? Any suggestions?
Regular charging on the included charger is ~1100mA i think. i heard usb charging is rated at 100mA. how long will it take to charge from dead? and if i am tethering using easy tether will i still gain charge? (searched for this but came up with too many results.

View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I made the mistake of trying to drive 80 mints using my DInc as a GPS unit. Drained about 25% of my battery. On the way back I didn't use GPS, but had BT turned on. In 80 mints it charged my battery 5%. With 2.1 and this same charger I didn't have this problem. My problem there was that the battery got really hot and stopped charging. I fixed this by simply mounting the thing in front of an A/C vent. Problem solved. Now Froyo has "fixed" this overheating issue by making the phone not charge so fast so it's now basically useless as a GPS unit IMO. Is there a ROM out there that fixes this charging issue?

But right when I unplug the USB (at 100%), the battery would drop to 92% in 2 minutes with me not doing anything at all. Then I plug it in my CAR charger and when it reaches 100% everything is perfectly fine. The phone still last all day with a lot of usage. But just wondering if anyone knows why the battery drops to 92% so fast?
View 19 Replies View RelatedI have a launch day EVO, Hardware revision 002, very minimal light leakage, no screen separation, and silver trim battery (if any of that matters). For the past couple of days, I have been experiencing what seems to be a complete lockup of the phone. After around 5 hrs of the phone being on, things start going haywire. At first it would lock up my live background. I switched to a static one to try and narrow it down. Then it was the screen doubling itself (weather widget would repeat on the bottom). A few minutes ago the dialog box that says "Turn Wifi On" stood on and didnt go away. I went into running services and it locked up until it rebooted itself. Ive never rooted my phone, not running a task killer and I only have market apps installed. What the hell is going on? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking its time to factory reset (again).
