For some reason my wifi will completely disconnect about a minute after starting a phone call when bluetooth is on. If I turn off BT, wifi comes right back on. I can use phone without bt, wifi on, no problems.

It seems like my Samsung Behold2 the call drop ratios is extremely high, call drops out of no where and sometimes I have seen full bars on phone but still calls get dropped. Another issue that while on the call the other parties voice will stop coming, the phone will be running and shows the call timer on as well, cannot end the call if this happens, the dialers just seems like hanged. only thing to come out from this issue is either take the battery out or somehow manage it to go in airplane mode.
View 16 Replies View RelatedIn Gmail I have my contacts sorted by groups, easy enough, on occasion I need to add a new group or move a contact from one group to another, which is easy enough using a pc and my Gmail account. However, I cannot seem to add new groups or edit existing groups on my Moment. I can see the groups, I can sort by groups, but I cannot find an option that will allow me to add or edit any groups. Does anyone know how this is done on the Moment? I suppose I could use the browser to log on to my Gmail account and change it from there but isnt that sort of redundant since I am on my Gmail account using the Moment? Also, maybe someone knows when Moment contacts sync with my Gmail why dont the contact photos sync? One more thing, anyone ever on a call and it goes dead and after a few seconds the phone rings with unknown in the caller ID. When answer it is some from my address book that should have appeared in my caller ID Anyway, now I have to quickly hang up on this person to call the person my phone hung up on to receive this call. Its like the call waiting gets disengaged and hangs up the present call to allow the new incoming. I also had this problem on a HTC Hero I had before I got the Moment also.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I flash back to stock with HD2 stock rom I notice the wifi stays connected to my connectify connection until I disconnect it myself but after I flash to TyphooN_CM7_v3.8.1-MAGLDR the wireless works for about 1 minute and drops but still shows as connected on the HD2 until I disconnect and reconnect again and it repeats.
Is it a problem with connectify, the radio I flashed to is _2.15.50.14 ?
I've only had my phone a couple of weeks and pleased with it now that I have installed many of the recommended free apps.
I have one problem though with the bluetooth. When I connect to my car bluetooth, everything is fine for 8 minnutes - calls can be made and received but then the bluetooth drops. As this happens when I am driving the easiest way to reconnect is by pressing the connect button in my car (ie not on the handset). It re-connects straight away and then works perfectly for the rest of the journey. This happens everytime I am in the car !
I'm fairly sure the problem is with the phone as my Nokia5800 did not have this issue.

Just wondering if I am alone in that as I find it kinda annoying.
I've been overall satisfied with the phone so far, but have some questions I'm hoping someone can answer/help me with. I've looked through as many threads as I could and tried the advice I found, but still no luck. The phone seems incredibly slow all the time. I came from a Palm pre, which had issues itself, but the Hero seems so much slower. Opening apps takes time, even the phone takes time. I've installed and app killer, no luck. I've reset the phone to factory settings, no luck. I've updated preferences, deleted apps, reset phone. still nothing. I read and was told that the Hero was faster than the Pre, but mine doesn't seem that way. Wifi always drops when connected to my home router. My wife Sprint phone always stays connected, but not mine. I reset the router, disconnected and reconnected the phone, tried all advice that I could find. Nothing. Visual voicemail doesn't work with bluetooth. I was told that this may not be a phone issue, but rather that the application doesn't allow bluetooth. Can anyone confirm?

I connect to my windows 7 pc and it is fine for surfing the web but if i download torrents it works for a couple minutes then i can see the 3g icon go away and come back over and over. But i download torrents fine if i use pdanet to tether.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a lot of issues with my device. It hangs frequently and the WiFi signal is weak and drops after a few minutes no matter what. I have the latest firmware so that isn't the problem. Many apps seem to run in the background even though I didn't start them and when I exit them the right way with the back button they're still running. What to do? I like the phone but it doesn't seem very stable so far.

However, this is rather akward since I have to answer the call, then fumble with the buttons and my headset turning them on. Ideally, I would want the bluetooth to automatically turn on anytime I receive a call and automatically turn off whenever I hang up. And having a bluetooth button in the dialer gui would be nice too.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a weird problem,(verizon incredible) when im streaming music via bluetooth in the car and check my notification slide down bar no problem but if im on a call using bluetooth via the car stereo when i want to look at my notifications or press "2" for an automated system my screen will flicker on and off and you have to time it right to catch it before the screen dims im talking a split second i thought maybe it was the proximity sensor that dims the screen to save battery when the phone is on your ear but i have no clue why this is, i ruled out the proximity sensor cause the phone would be in my hand or on my bracketron universal windshield mount
Also if i try using the power button to bring the screen on again it does nothing but confuses the phone and slows it down
I know its not the screen timeout cause it comes back without hitting the power button.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI've noticed times when my in-call volume is stuck on high even when turned all the way down to the lowest setting. I traced this to having previously connected to a bluetooth device for phone use (this happens with two different bluetooth accessories). After disconnecting from bluetooth (whether or not the bluetooth antenna is also turned off), call volume is extremely loud and doesn't respond to the volume-down key. I have to reset the phone to get it back to normal. Anyone else notice this? Any fix for this? I presume this is a bug in the Android 2.1 OS. BTW--this also happens with a friend's Eris running a 2.1 leak v3.

Since the Froyo update if I am connected to both Wifi and Bluetooth while listening to music, the bluetooth will turn itself on and off over and over again. This did not happen to me prior to the Froyo update.I guess my question is, can we not be running and be connected to WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time with Froyo?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen i'm connected to my router at home via wifi, the connection randomly drops from time to time. My laptop and TV is fine which are both running via the internet. The setting is set to stay connected always, even when the screen goes black.
Does anyone have a resolution for this? Perhaps static IP? if this is the answer, what should the settings be?
Connect to my secured Wi-fi network fine when the network is broadcasting (network name not "hidden"). As soon as the network is no longer broadcasting (i.e. network is changed to stop broadcasting the name), DInc drops the wi-fi connection.
Settings menu shows the name of the network is remembers from previous connection but states that it is "not in range" (and remembered).
Wi-fi network is secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK and is an Apple Airport Extreme with (b, g, n).
Anyone experience this and appreciate any suggestions which would allow the DInc to stay connected to a "closed network."

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems during the "read" call of the InputStream. The call gives me a "IOException: Software Caused Abort" exception. I'm able to get the BluetoothSocket and also the able to "connect" to the device. My app. is in the client mode and sends in a "x" byte "command" to the device which is then supposed to send me a "response". The expected "response" is also of "x" bytes. This is where the error arises.. While reading the "response" i'm getting the above mentioned error.

I have an evo4g and rooted it. I run 2.2 and a month old version of fresh or so.Anyway, just got a usb dongle at newegg for $7. I plugged it in and it connected my phone flawlessly for audio. Basically for audio all I do is toggle bluetooth on on the phone, then.. hit play and music is coming thru my computer speakers. That said - I can't seem to connect for bluetooth wifi. Is there a different driver for the phone that I need to d/l somewhere? Going to the windows 7 (I run win 7 ultimate) it says about my phone under the services tab:

Object Push (Obex)
This leads me to believe I need a different driver perhaps? When I go to "Join a Personal Area Network" there are no devices listed. I try to add device but it doesn't find my phone.I know this is kinda complicated so if you dont understand my problem please ask for a clarification.
Is there an app that will automatically recognize when I am near my bluetooth headset (which I keep in the car) and turn bluetooth on, then off again when I am out of range? Same for my home wifi? I typically turn one off and the other on when I leave the house or come home. Any way to automate it? I know there are ones where you can schedule it, but I don't have a predictable schedule, so that won't work for me.
View 14 Replies View RelatedBought a HTC Hero and a DEH-Pioneer 7100BT bluetooth car radio. Once radio was installed my phone was detected and I have done all what was necessary to get the phone paired with the radio.
The phone is now paired with the radio and can stream music and adjusting the phonevolume also gets played through the car speakers wich all work perfectly.
The problem starts when there is an incoming or outgoing call and when I answer the call through the radio, the sounds dont go through the car speakers anymore. The opposing person can hear me but I cannot hear them because the carspeakers are silent. The only way to hear them was by attaching a headset to my phone only then could I hear them.
The main reason for buying this radio was that I would not need a headset at all. Is there a way to route sounds from incoming and outgoing calls also to the car's speakers?
I had an HTC Desire delivered yesterday, and I used the system update to install 2.2 Everything seemed to work perfectly for 24 hours, but this evening the device is coming up with "Error" when you try to connect to wifi, and it also refuses to switch on bluetooth at all. Does anyone know if this is a 2.2 issue (and therefore likely to be fixed in an update), or if this is a problem that has been around for a while and the phone is knackered? I have seen posts by people with similar issues which predate the 2.2 release, but it can be hard to tell if they were running the official software or not.I want to avoid installing anything that may invalidate the warranty.
