HTC Incredible : Way To Get Stronger Vibrate From Phone?
Apr 29, 2010I'm thinking not, but is there any way to make the vibrations stronger for message alerts? This is the phones only downfall for me so far.

HTC Hero : How To Get Stronger Vibrate From Phone?
Jan 19, 2010Is there any way of getting a stronger vibrate from the Hero. If I have my Hero on vibrate, many times I don't even know it's "ringing" because the vibrate is so soft. If I am wearing on my hip in the case I got, I generally don't feel it. I love the Hero, but the Blackberry had a more significant vibrate. Any ideas, or just live with it?

Jul 4, 2010Does anyone know of a way to make the phone, when set to vibrate, vibrate longer and stronger than the 2 short weak vibrates that it does now? I miss more calls because of this than any other reason. A co-worker has the Moto Droid and that thing will vibrate so hard the phone will move across the desk. Thats what I am used to coming from BlackBerries. I would like to accomplish this without using a 3rd party app if possible.

Jul 19, 2010I'll be talking on the phone and might receive a text message or gmail from someone. My phone immediately vibrates twice to notify me. Not only is this unpleasant when I have the phone to my ear, but it's also an annoyance to the person I'm talking to as they hear the vibrate sounds. In fact any time I'm talking to my girlfriend and my phone vibrates, she asks "who is texting you now?" I really just want the notification turned off while I'm on a call. Is there a way to prevent this from happening while on the phone?

May 7, 2010Hey, I was playing around with my Incredible today, and to my dismay I have made it so my phone does not vibrate when I receive text messages.
I looked through all the other threads and they didn't help.
I've gone through the sms settings and turned vibration "on"
I even have it in vibrate mode. that didn't work.
regular mode. didn't work.
I fixed it just in case anyone else runs into this problem:
Download "sound manager" open the app, click your "menu" button and click "vibrate options"
You'll see that vibration notifications are turned off.
HTC Incredible :: Phone Automatically Switching From Vibrate To Silent
Jun 3, 2010Anyone having issues with their phone changing itself to Silent mode? Every morning, I switch to Vibrate before I go to work. At roughly 9:00, the phone will then change itself to Silent mode without me doing anything.The only thing I can think of is that I used to use the app "Settings Profiles" to do changes for me automatically. I wasnt crazy about it though so Ive uninstalled it. The program no longer shows up for me so I dont think thats the problem.

May 1, 2010I just got the HTC Incredible and one of the things I haven't been able to figure out is how to set incoming phone calls to vibrate, yet play the notification sound. None of the profiles seems to make that combination happen. If I switch it to silent, no sound or vibrations happen for calls or notifications. In the vibrate profile, both calls and notifications only vibrate. In normal mode, I can't get calls to vibrate only. If I slide the call ringer volume all the way down and slide notification volume up, it switches it to silent mode. If I have call ringer volume up one notch from silent, it still plays the ringtone. Is this something I can accomplish or do I have to have silent calls only if I still want notifications played?

I cant feel a thing seriously but with my old Blackberry I can. I really need it badly since I am deaf. I found a funny app called Vibrator and vibration actually can last longer than the notification setup. I figure someone can help me setup fast and simple apps that allows us to tweak vibration to be stronger. I know Blackberry has range 1 to 10, let me decide what works best for me. I read about downloading Sound Manager and checking Vibrate settings but everything is right there too... The only ROM that vibrate works with is Virtuous, however I don't really like Sense so I'm currently on Ruby 1.1.1.

I have "MINI INFO WIDGET" and when I go in there to adjust the volume to vibrate it will work but then when I try to go back to Sound Profile I have to manually adjust the sound again? Sep 15, 2010The vibrate for my notifications keeps turning off by itself. I downloaded sound manager and using this app I can turn it back on, but a little while later it is already turned off again.
I'm thinking it must be an app turning it off, but I have gone through each one and can't for the life of me figure out what is causing this.
I did a hard reset after 2.2 and it went away for a few days but now its happening again.

Apr 30, 2010I love my Incredible. One thing I can't seem to figure out is how to have my phone in vibrate and be able to know when I receive an SMS or email message. I was reading up on the Moto Droid and nexus one forums but the fixes they had (outside of just using an entirely different app for SMS) didn't seem to apply to the incredible. I set it to vibrate but it only seems to vibrate when it rings, not when it's set solely to vibrate.
So I ask, is it possible to receive a vibrate notification of an SMS or email when the phone is in vibrate mode? If I'm at a movie or something, I like knowing if I got a message.

May 25, 2010My phone will not vibrate when I receive and SMS text message. I have checked and unchecked the vibrate box multiple times and nothing changes. It is not a big deal unless I have my phone on vibrate mode because I am in a meeting or something. During those times, I have no way of knowing if I received a message outside of pulling out my phone and checking it every few minutes. Anyone else having this problem or have any suggestions?
