This happens every day when m working at 8 AM, set it on vibrate and BAM full loudness again. What the hell is going on? This is a huge deal for me cause I absolutely need my phone on vibrate when m working.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll I want to do is create a simple "vibrate" profile that turns phone calls and text messages to vibrate. I have the call part but the messages just come in silently with no vibrate. I have the following in the task:
1) Vibrate on Notify: On
2) Vibrate on Ringer: On
3) Silent Mode: Vibrate
Any way to disable this for the HTC Incredible?

I miss a lot of the notifications when my phone is set to vibrate (yes, vibration mode is necessary while I'm in class). My BlackBerry gave me the option to have short, medium, long vibrates, and how many.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI'll be talking on the phone and might receive a text message or gmail from someone. My phone immediately vibrates twice to notify me. Not only is this unpleasant when I have the phone to my ear, but it's also an annoyance to the person I'm talking to as they hear the vibrate sounds. In fact any time I'm talking to my girlfriend and my phone vibrates, she asks "who is texting you now?" I really just want the notification turned off while I'm on a call. Is there a way to prevent this from happening while on the phone?

I looked through all the other threads and they didn't help.
I've gone through the sms settings and turned vibration "on"
I even have it in vibrate mode. that didn't work.
regular mode. didn't work.
I fixed it just in case anyone else runs into this problem:
Download "sound manager" open the app, click your "menu" button and click "vibrate options"
You'll see that vibration notifications are turned off.
Anyone having issues with their phone changing itself to Silent mode? Every morning, I switch to Vibrate before I go to work. At roughly 9:00, the phone will then change itself to Silent mode without me doing anything.The only thing I can think of is that I used to use the app "Settings Profiles" to do changes for me automatically. I wasnt crazy about it though so Ive uninstalled it. The program no longer shows up for me so I dont think thats the problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got the HTC Incredible and one of the things I haven't been able to figure out is how to set incoming phone calls to vibrate, yet play the notification sound. None of the profiles seems to make that combination happen. If I switch it to silent, no sound or vibrations happen for calls or notifications. In the vibrate profile, both calls and notifications only vibrate. In normal mode, I can't get calls to vibrate only. If I slide the call ringer volume all the way down and slide notification volume up, it switches it to silent mode. If I have call ringer volume up one notch from silent, it still plays the ringtone. Is this something I can accomplish or do I have to have silent calls only if I still want notifications played?

1) Is there a way to avoid notification sounds to take place during media playback, mainly music player, without having to change my sounds profile to silent, or vibrate?
2) All of a sudden my phone is taking a little long to load SMS conversations. Is there a way to fix that? I feel as though my Snapdragon shouldn't lag when I open a text.
Is it just me or does it take FOREVER to charge? I've tried USB and wall charger and I feel like it's like watching paint dry. I'm not hating on my phone or anything, just something I noticed.
View 17 Replies View RelatedMy phone reads: 5h 32m 55 s since unplugged. And its at 5% now. Isn't this abnormally low? I used it somewhat frequently but not all the time or heavily by anymeans. Also, GPS and wifi and bluetooth were all off using the android power control widget. My battery usage shows: 42% android system, 25% camera (i took like 10 pics, nothing crazy), 13% cell standby, 12% display, 6% phone idle, 2% robo defense. This is after charging overnight to 100% And I've had the phone since thursday, so its like the 4th charge cycle. Is my battery defective? I read the other threads about low battery life but this seems BEYOND low, this seems defective.

Is there away for it to download it better instead of stopping every few seconds to buffer more. This way it can be smoother. There has to be some way to do it my storm that didnt have no where near as much memory played them better.

They arrived at 6:33 pm and the timestamps show the were sent at 6:29. Maybe I'm just spoiled from having a blackberry because I'm used to push email being immediate, not 3-4 minutes later. View 14 Replies View RelatedMy phone has a really annoying habit. Every night before I go to sleep. I switch it to silent mode. But if a call or a text message comes through overnight it vibrates. The next morning I find that the phone is now in vibrate mode. I did have Foxy Ring installed, although it was not activated. I wondered whether it could have anything to do with this, but I've now removed it from the phone, but the irritating behaviour persists. Short of turning the phone off overnight, how can I get a quiet night's sleep?

On both of these occasions, the phone took as much as 5 minutes to switch off, why? I always kill the applications with multi task, so it cant be the apps that are running.

My phone takes forever to charge. Example: used my phone heavily this morning from 5:30 am till around 9am. Came home, battery was down to 15% or so. Plugged it into the AC charger around 10am, went outside and mowed the yard, etc. Finally checked the phone around 4pm, and it was still charging. Battery was showing 90% or so. Shouldn't it fully charge in around 2 hours or less? I did some research and found some people having charging issues after they upgraded to 2.1, which I did right after I got the phone. I did check with my local RS where I got the phone, and the guy I spoke with has a Hero, and his does not do this. He suggested I go to a Sprint store and have them look at it.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have now been using the samsung galaxy for a week now and there is only one factor that is letting down the phone for me and thats the lagging. I have no complaints about the camera even though its without the flash, the internet speed is top notch and the innovative swype makes life so much easier. However what irritates me is the time it takes to access an app or returning to the home page. It must take 30 seconds or more before the screen is loaded which is annoying when you want to do something in a hurry. This also occurs when someone is ringing me and I'm trying to answer, the phone freezes for 10 seconds. I,ve only downloaded around 10 apps so surely that cannot be the problem. I've got a week left before I have to come to a decision whether or not to keep the phone or return it back to vodafone and would like some advice or reassurance about this problem. Also out of interest I would like to know if anyone has encountered the same problem on the iphone 4. The one area in which the galaxy beats the iphone 4 is the price considering what you get with both however it may be worth it to use a phone that dosent lag.

But ever since I rooted and started swapping ROM's frequently, it no longer works for texts. I read about downloading Sound Manager and checking Vibrate settings but everything is right there too... The only ROM that vibrate works with is Virtuous, however I don't really like Sense so I'm currently on Ruby 1.1.1.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X with the OTA 2.2 rooted and when I put the phone in Vibrate the phone will not vibrate at all not for phone calls, text, or email? I have "MINI INFO WIDGET" and when I go in there to adjust the volume to vibrate it will work but then when I try to go back to Sound Profile I have to manually adjust the sound again? I have Vibrate Widget and when that is selected it goes to silent only. I tried Uninstalling MINI INFO and VIBRATE WIDGET but I still have the same result sooo it can't be the programs.
