Is there any way of getting a stronger vibrate from the Hero. If I have my Hero on vibrate, many times I don't even know it's "ringing" because the vibrate is so soft. If I am wearing on my hip in the case I got, I generally don't feel it. I love the Hero, but the Blackberry had a more significant vibrate. Any ideas, or just live with it?

I like to put my phone on silent but keep the vibrate on. Does anyone know an app that does this. I'd also like to disable the volume controls at the side of the handset because I sometimes knock this and that turns the ringtone back on. Is this possible.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll I want to do is create a simple "vibrate" profile that turns phone calls and text messages to vibrate. I have the call part but the messages just come in silently with no vibrate. I have the following in the task:
1) Vibrate on Notify: On
2) Vibrate on Ringer: On
3) Silent Mode: Vibrate
Maybe I'm just wishing for a faster phone but I turned off vibration on the keyboard and my Hero seems much faster. Anyone else experience this?

I liked it at first, but turning it off really speeds up the response time. For some reason it is still vibrating when I go to phone and start typing a number. That works for the ringers, but not notifications. I mainly want to set / unset vibrate for gmail and Google Voice. Any other device have a stronger battery you can use? 2) when the green light is on, it means it is fully charged right? however when i go to the desktop app it shows you the percentage of charge, it is only ever in the 90's% when the green light comes on. something wrong with my battery? it still carries on charging but the green light comes on so early.

I cant feel a thing seriously but with my old Blackberry I can. I really need it badly since I am deaf. I found a funny app called Vibrator and vibration actually can last longer than the notification setup. I figure someone can help me setup fast and simple apps that allows us to tweak vibration to be stronger. I know Blackberry has range 1 to 10, let me decide what works best for me. How do I formally request Android Team or Google/TMO to look at it?

I miss more calls because of this than any other reason. A co-worker has the Moto Droid and that thing will vibrate so hard the phone will move across the desk. Example I am at work and I will be connected to a hot spot on one side of the building, I go over to the other side of the building and the signal strength is weak and there is a new hot spot next to me that is extremely strong but the phone stays connected to the weak signal until I go and switch it manually to the new hot spot.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X with the OTA 2.2 rooted and when I put the phone in Vibrate the phone will not vibrate at all not for phone calls, text, or email? I have "MINI INFO WIDGET" and when I go in there to adjust the volume to vibrate it will work but then when I try to go back to Sound Profile I have to manually adjust the sound again? I have Vibrate Widget and when that is selected it goes to silent only. I tried Uninstalling MINI INFO and VIBRATE WIDGET but I still have the same result sooo it can't be the programs.

I have went through all of the settings and notifications and changed everything to "never" vibrate. But still when I receive a new message it does the 3 or 4 vibrate tones. In Messages > Settings > Vibrate, the option is ticked but even if I untick / restart / retick it still doesn't work. I've also tried pressing the volume button down to vibrate mode and back again but that makes no difference.I've even tried working with Handcent and yet I still cannot get the vibrate working. Everything else works such as the status bar notification but that's it.The vibrate part is definitely working for phone calls and other apps so I don't think that it's a hardware problem. Any idea what could be causing it? I'm using the latest official UK Orange ROM.

When my Hero receives a new email, the flashball notifices me about it, but the notification sound and vibrate do not work even though I have them both checked in the settings (the sound is also selected). I set it to vibrate in handcent.I even turned on the stock messaging app to see if that would vibrate and nothing. I tried holding down end call to see if it would vibrate and nothing. The only time I've felt it vibrate is when powering on the phone.Anyone have any ideas? If not, is there an easy way to restore to factory defaults?

My older phone is Sidekick 3, the vibrate on that thing is a monster. however the hero is so weak i could never feel anything not even if i place it on my skin of my leg. Vibrate is very important to me. I even wrapped my pant tight so it presses against my skin harder but nope! I'm seriously thinking about sending it back.
were anyone able to feel their phone vibrate? if so what pattern and how do you wear it?
How to disable the vibrate alert in the Hero when a call connection is established, ie when the person picks up the other end? It's only a small vibrate but I personally don't like it and would like to get rid.
