I don't text and actually have this feature disabled (I was receiving all kinds of spam and was told I'd either have to disable or pay for the spam texts).
Because of this, the text home screen (second from left when scrolling through the home screens) is useless to me. Is there a way to change the screen so that it's not a "text" screen? I tried adding a different widget and was told there was no space.

So I have had the Incredible for a while now and I absolutely love the phone. The only thing that has really bugged me from day one is the positioning of the home screen. The phone is suppose to be fully customizable but it seems that the one thing I have yet to figure out is how to change where my home screen is located. I would much rather have my home screen set as the left most screen instead of having it directly in the middle of my seven available screens. You know, sort of like how the iphone is and what not. Does anyone know if something like this is possible?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got my incredible and i love it, I have 2 issues with it, first is battery but you know downloading stuff all day long will tank a battery the other. I cannot put a picture on the wallpaper on my phone. If I do, it changes it to the HTC colors. I can however post any live wallpaper just not any pictures. This is become a great irritation and I am uncertain if this is a software or hardware problem.

Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI had the carpanel that was released for the droid set up on my evo, with the custom shortcuts and background etc. I would see the 'car' icon in the notification bar, and when i hit the Home button, it would take me to the 1st screen of car home instead of back to launcherpro.
Long story short, I was playing around in /system and messed it up and lost carpanel. I re-flashed Fresh over it and was able to install carpanel and load it up. The thing is, theres NO 'car' icon in the notification bar, and when I hit 'home' I get pulled back to launcherpro.
This is not a setting issue as far as I can tell. I don't know why it no longer has the 'home' functionality which is really critical for navigating while driving.
Can anyone upload a working .apk? Maybe I just grabbed a wrong version and need to install another, or maybe Im missing a complementary file that enables the 'home' goodness.
How do you change the way the home screen is being displayed? Not the wallpaper itself, but the size and shape of the clock and whether it's even there or not.

I have altered those by changing out the assets and recompiling.

On the button of my home screen I have 4 main icons Even if you switch to another screen those 4 stay on the bottom of the screen.
How can I change those icons to different programs?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay so here is another strange thing I noticed with the update.2 of the 3 phones that got the update now have a little home icon on the bottom of one of the touchwiz screens when you are in the edit mode. This page with the home icon can now be moved to whereever you want it in the positioning of the 1-7 screens you have and when you click on the "home" key at the very bottom it will go to that screen. Previously there was no home key and your home screen was either the middle or far left screen depending on the number of screens you had.
